Why texture mods do you guys use? [t]http://i.imgur.com/We7gfQh.jpg[/t] Skyrim, most of the time, looks like HL2 run on medium when it comes to textures. I even installed the HD textures DLC and it's still pretty bad.
SRO, Vivid, water Dos para ENB, AmidianBorn, in that order.

That last image also uses coverkhajiit.
wtf is coverkhajitt
Khajiit texture mod
Is that like a play on "Covergirl"
[editline]8th March 2015[/editline]
That's the reason I asked
It is a play on words, and it's an awful one too.
Isn't she already at 100.
I'm sure we could find a way to extend it indefinitely.
Is there any performance boost to unpacking BSAs into loose files or is there just a performance boost when you uncompress BSAs?
My sister played Morrowind for the first time today, immediately made an Imperial and named him Farquaad, whilst trying to make him look as much like the Shrek character as possible.
The fuck.

no boost, slower performance but is more stable and less prone to memory bullshit.

I've been using my own custom khajiit stuff for some time.
does anyone remember/know of the mods that make the legion and stormcloaks actually fight each other randomly as you travel?

How often do you guys get CTDs, if ever? For me it's up to once every two hours, but I don't know if that's normal or if you guys have managed to get it crash free with over 100 plugins.
Cant find any good male armors to save my life. I have immersive armors installed but it's like I can't find any armor that makes me feel unique. I spent like an hour on that japanese blog website but I didn't find anything that interested me.

On my old pc it was a guaranteed CTD at three hours
but to be fair i was rocking over 200 script heavy mods at once
and i'd always know it was coming because everything would slow down...
not fps wise (althought it did happen)
but speech would take longer to trigger, actions never completed etc.

rarely if ever. using a program to sort your mod order really helps.

Scripts and NPCs, and exceeding the 3.2 gig limit; these are your biggest issues. Mods that don't merge that should be merged are the next biggest contributor.
Use MO to arrange, use Wrye Bash to check dependencies, go back to MO when the dragons are slayed.
The LL scripting group has figured out a way to properly thread under papyrus; maybe they'll spread that love elsewhere; until then run only four mods with script impulsing, and for fuck's sake research your mods.
If you run requiem or FF, I don't recommend running anything else because both of these are a gigantic fucking mess.

Looked through the male tag quickly (I feared that I would be put on a list because there are advertisements or something involving a flat chested women in skimpy clothing), found only a few sets worth looking at

but didn't install them because its not good enough to install
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60219/? anyone tried this mod yet? It looks like a pretty nice addition/overhaul to archery

Yeah, I remember you having big performance issues on an old machine. My CTDs just happen at random when I load a save or I'm walking around. No idea what it is, but I guess it's a problem with my mod setup.

I'll have a look at all that, then, thanks. I guess I should look at culling some NPC mods first, because off the top of my head I have 3 that add more random patrols to the paths, which is a bit overkill to begin with.
When you say checking dependencies, is it out of order masters that I should worry about?

testing it out right now, i can't seem to restring my bows and i have definitely got enough to do it
good thing he added archery overhaul to the title...
alright i don't know who it is but someone deserves to have a tooth or two knocked out (it's not anybody in this thread, i've determined that much)
so I go to install the latest DarnUI because apparently I botched the last one and wound up with a half-Darn half-vanilla UI. once I do that, I boot up the game and now the entire UI is vanilla. Not a single DarNUI element in sight. Which makes no fucking sense because I followed the directions to the letter, as I always do when I download a mod to something.
I had to mount my dying hard drive and rescue that copy of Oblivion to get a UI that lets me see more than four items in my inventory at a time.
So how do I actually install this UI mod, since apparently the RTF that comes in the ZIP is wrong?

I got an idea looking at Legate Rikke, next elder scrolls game should handle injuries like one of the metal gear games should. I never played metal gear myself, but I saw that it had a system that lets you treat injuries and diseases, such as the removal of tranquilizer darts.
That's more effort than Bethesda will ever put in, and even if it wasn't I think the idea is just out of character for a vanilla Bethesda game.
Certainly something someone should make with a mod though, assuming next game gets decent tools.

You're referring to MGS3, which put a big emphasis on survival and catching food and that kind of thing.
Yeah that'd be kinda neat

Ever since I got myself a new CPU and RAM my crashes pretty much disappeared. It's important to have proper load order and perhaps Quality RAM.

I had a look at RAM usage with Skyrim Performance Monitor and it never went above 900MB, so RAM probably isn't a problem.
On the other hand though, VRAM went over 990MB in Whitrerun, on a 1GB graphics card. Maybe that's a problem?
I ctd sometimes when playing (144 plugins) but thats mainly because im still awful at mod order and such (maybe I ctd once every few hours, mainly cause I loot a body and something happens that crashes it)
