Something about it looks off. Looks like a fat cat wielding a butter knife.

I always let him live for some reason, even after I always spend all that money on a ring I kinda like and a bunch of armor I never use. There's something I really like about him, he has a nice voice or I respect people who fight with pickaxes or something.
May or may not have said this before, but Solstheim followers are best followers.

Is it even worth it to make a skill legendary. It just seems like a good way to fuck over your combat as far as i can tell.

When you reach max level it's good to sacrifice some skills to make room for higher stats. Doesn't always have to be combat but you'll likely spend more time in combat so it'll raise quicker.

Some skills like blacksmithing and pickpocket are really trivial to raise.

It's mainly for if you want to level up more, so you can gain more perks/health/magick/stamina.
It also makes super leveling via the fortification loop a thing.
You can loop your fortify alchemy enchants up enough that making one potion will max the skill to 100, then you Legendary and do it again until you're level like 300 something which is when you have enough points to get every perk. :^)

It doesn't take that long to level it up again. Plus it makes it so much easier to level up. Just keep an extra combat skill at 100 if you're really that worried.

Wait, you can legendary a skill by just fortifying it to 100? Jesus Christ.
What are some fast ways to train 1H and Blocking? Right now, I'm just blocking against two Draugr and it levels me up somewhat alright, but it's exponentially slowing down.
And my 1H skill is just a pain in the ass to level up, because it's so low I barely do any damage and I feel like putting skill points into that tree is a waste, since I'm primarily a 2H Orc Warrior of Doom. But the shield / 1H combo is good for boss battles.

Play the game like normal.
Seriously, the amount of xp you get is based on the damage you deal(1H) and take(Block)
Or go fight a giant and block his attacks. And then use potion and enchantment exploits to buff one handed damage and then attack stuff.
do buffs like fortify one-handed factor into how much xp is granted?

Yes

Go to the table, look over to One Handed

Nah.
You use the fortification loop to make it so that when you make a potion, your alchemy skill is automatically leveled to 100, then you legendary it and make another potion to do it again.
The loop works by making fortify alchemy gear, then using the gear to make fortify restoration potions, then using the potions to boost the foritify alchemy enchantments and making more potions and so forth until eventually you make super potions with effects that last literally years and cost 9999999999 gold, which will level alchemy from 15 to 100 instantly.

Note that exploits don't work if you have Skyrim Unofficial Patches. Those fucking buzzkillers.

It's always fun when you die to an overleveled enemy and hear the skill jingle, because taking 500 damage leveled up your armor or block.

999 Alchemy
Take down Alduin with one poisoned arrow.
[QUOTE=lavacano;47311383]999 Alchemy

It's definitely possible.
When I was doing the loop a while back I made a potion that made me invisible for a 7 years.
And that's real life, not 7 in game years, but like 60,000 actual hours.
quick question about how this game handles textures
I have everything set to very high, and even with 2k textures it looks like .5k textures or something, is there anything I could do to fix this?

you could do that with 50 alchemy

For the texture mods to fully work, you need to have textures on High. I've had it before where the texture setting put itself lower than that before. What texture mod are you using?

It's already on the highest setting, or it should be.
I'm using some custom texture I made for dragonscale armor, it just looks way too pixelated
Did I just complete Skyrim? I killed Alduin, and teleported to the Throat of the World (it made me so sad seeing Parthunaxes cold, dead corpse) and had that dragon we trapped say I can call on him whenever I want and then... that was it?
Is this actually the ending, or is there more to the main Alduin questline?

Now comes the real test:
[sp]choosing between waiting for the next TES game, or overdosing on mods until you flatline[/sp]

Yep, that's it.
There's a mod that makes the Alduin fight not shit (made by Pastaspace/Trainwiz) but I haven't actually gotten around to that point in the MQ in a long time so I can't tell you how good it really is
