so the encounters mod i installed is goofed and doesn't remember how faction assignment works
while it's hilarious to watch the three revelers beat each other senseless on the side of the road, watching three Thalmor, two Vigilants, and a Flame Atronach who were all clearly meant to fight each other walk by in a giant pack has its immersion breaking downsides
New character on Skyrim, a high elf alchemist named Ahlfreed:

I installed Requiem just to make sure i wouldn't get cocky and turn it into a stealth archer. Again.
Next step: buying a bloody pair of gloves, and maybe a decent looking hat.
Pretty sure those brows already serve as a hat m8
I must have been doing something wrong, because in Requiem stealth archery seemed even more effective to me.

Yes, but unless you put basic perks archery is shit, like everything else in Requiem. I'm surprised for the lack of a breathing perk where you drown with air if you don't have it.
I've been pretty dedicated to keeping my 1h/shield character from going stealth archer.
My stealth sucks and my archery is even worse, so it'd be more frustrating to switch at this point.
Combat's actually pretty fun this way too.

That's true, but even with no perks you know how to use a bow, and that let me cheese a lot of low-level enemies because of the low time to kill. I'll petition the developer to make it so you might shoot yourself without the proper perk.

A bunch of critical failure scripts would actually be brilliant, but we also need the opposite. A charm spell on a character that turns everyone in the area into a permanent thrall due to the skill being too high wouldn't be bad.

Please post more of this character if anything interesting happens.

Not much for now, but here's something:

Whiterun isn't really a charming place, but could be a decent place for gathering plants. However, the locals aren't too happy about it.

The local alchemist seems obsessed with ataxia. Probably a fetish of some sort.

Apart from the local oddities, Ahlfreed's ingredient hunt turned out to be pretty good.

he just looks pissed off at everything, ever

Welcome to vanilla skyrim. Actually I had a mod that reduces the bloom so it's not even as bad as that.

He looks like he's eaten the souls of a hundred British dragons
edit: get sven or erik or somenord as a companion, give them the armor from this and make that your home
edit again: oh yeah I came into this thread to post something

Unlocked Grip has potential for great silliness
[sp]yes, imperial batman no longer has his many weapons, partially because i was sick of wearing a thousand backpacks to carry them all and partially because I was sick of having that many weapons hanging off of me and spazzing out like mad because whatever HDT equipment mod is it that i have that won't go away likes to freak out constantly[/sp]
What's a good mod to use with T.A.Z Lighting besides EFLX?
Welp, I broke my Oblivion and I can't fix it cleanly.
Looks like I'll have to reinstall. Next time I can free myself from OBMM for Mod Organizer
[editline]15th March 2015[/editline]
Is there a save cleaning program for Oblivion?

is that skyrim in ultra
because it looks atrocious
I'm doing the quest "The Whispering Door" and to get the Ebony Blade upgraded I just spawned a beggar from Riften and killed her a bunch of times and resurrected her. I checked the upgrade thingy for the blade in console and it says I killed 10 friends, which is when the Whispering Lady should tell me my next task. However, she isn't and putting "setstage da08 60" (that is the stage for getting all 10 kills) doesn't do anything either. I don't wanna have to restart my character because I've levelled him up quite a bit.

The wikia said that it's an exploit to do it quickly, plus I don't want to kill any named or important people.
I don't have any other saves so I might just have to restart my Khajiit :(

do deeds around towns, random people will be able to follow you
if they can be a follower, they don't matter. they don't have personal quests like followers in fnv do.

I already have the required amount of friendly NPCs killed though, the quest isn't progressing.

Have you tried NOT cheating?
Have you tried NOT cheating?
Like I said, I didn't want to kill any important NPC, like traders and such. Guess I'll have to restart my character.

Pretty much the only class worth a shit in requiem, it's unbalanced as fuck.

Funny how that's the same for vanilla skyrim too.
Quite.
It's kinda headscratching how they spent all this time working on this "total and complete overhaul of how the game is played, everything is so different."
Except it's not, and once you break armor (aka Ap arrows) it's actually a joke to finish, and easier than vanilla skyrim.
Baffling.
