A easy way to of fixed that would be add an option "We'll travel together" and apply a following script like the companions have to her.

that's just as dumb as joining the stormcloaks from a tactical standpoint. If the thalmor managed to wreck the imperials, the stormcloaks would have no chance, especially given their general racist and overly prideful attitude. They'd fall in no time. Same is true if you were to start an independent collective - you'd be doing the same thing that the Stormcloaks did, presumably without the rampant xenophobia. The only solution to defeat the thalmor long term is to side imperial.
this reminds me I know plenty of lore about es, but I've never really paid attention to the timeline. I know skyrim is after oblivion and morrowind, but are any of the older games further along? Is there a canon to the end of the war?

Skyrim is the furthest in the future as games go. C0DA is the absolute most distant point in the future, but it's 1. Near incomprehensible Michael Kirkbridism 2. Only canon because it isn't not canon, as are all things outside the games. It's best to just accept anything by MK as canon unless Bethesda says otherwise though, they draw from him a lot.
Made an oops on my bow mod, if you downloaded it there's a patch that updates the mesh tangents so the normals and such are actually visible. Dunno how I missed that.

Nah, the jaws of Oblivion were closed at the end of Oblivion, because Akatosh did it but couldn't before because.
Also, anyone who wants the Thalmor to win should turn the game off. Like, literally, that's how they win, that's their goal.

My skyrim keeps crashing for no reason even on vanilla i can't work out why it just gets to a load screen then the not responding circle appears
So it's either live with shadow striping or turn up the shadows and lose 10 fps, nice.

I quite like the models, the Dwemer bow is especially good, but I think that the bows need to have more of their material on them, to distinguish them more.

All these cries of "Oh Ulfric, he's a monster who doesn't like elves." He helps you out after the Imperials try to illegally execute you and all the Stormcloaks and doesn't ask for anything really.
So what if the Stormcloaks don't like elves? Considering all the shit they've been responsible for, it's no wonder. Slavery, cannibalism, attempting to outright destroy the world.
If you would seriously want to help out the guys who try to murder you, and only let it go after most of them get eaten by a dragon, then I seriously have no idea what to tell you.
And don't give me any of that "But if the Stormcloaks win, the Thalmor do too!" bullshit. As though Ulfric would just let the elves go after he became High King and drove them from Skyrim. And you, the Dragonborn, who defeats living gods and is basically a one-man army, you'd be pretty useful in the fight against them.

Actually, first Ralof, and then Hadvar help you. Ulfric disappears somewhere, though I don't really blame him for that. Also, the point is that Ulfric isn't nearly tough enough to take out the elves, doesn't matter if he's going to fight them, and the Dragonborn is just one manwoman, no matter how powerful.
Also, remember that image I had with tons of Speed ups from Skooma? Went back onto that character, managed to run so fast that I phased through Riften's distant LOD before it could properly load.

This reminds me of 2011 when my 35 year old nerdy author friend would write entire research papers on why the Stormcloaks were right.

If Crusader Kings has taught me anything it's that the best way for the civil war plotline to end is for you, the Dragonborn, to put these Stormcloaks in their place and then marry Elisif in true medieval power-grabbing glory, and then get either you or her elected to the throne during the postwar moot, using your influence as both the Dragonborn and the reunifier of Skyrim.

How does it condemn all of the imperials though? I don't think the imperials are bad in general, there just happened to be one asshole captain at Helgen. Throughout the game I'm pretty sure stormcloacks score way higher on the dick-meter, being blinded by nationalism and hatred for non-nords in Skyrim. Stormcloacks pretty much symbolize political instability and lack of proper government.
Imperials have the resources and connections to undermine and eventually push back the Thalmor. Using the "well the player character is a tank" argument is fairly invalid, if that worked then the player character in Fallout could exterminate every super mutant and bring about peace on wasteland, but that's not how the story works.
I'm going to play a stormcloak run for the first time. Pretty much not going to bother with anything past the stormcloak questline I think, although I need to pick a start, so I'll ask you guys.
