If you ever find something interesting, like a combat sim aside from Midgar, send Oni Karu an invite. I can always use more things to do.
Join the merczateers. Biggest military in the game.
Merczateers? They suck. (Well, like any other military group). They're elitist and shit from what I've read.
Yeah, they're elitist n stuff. I've played a few militaries in the game, but from what I know, if you want instant action and a good and balanced set of guidelines then I'd pick mercz. There's always training going on, weapon and tool upgrades, meetings, and events going on within the military.
Mercz = Griefer Group All Military Groups = Griefer Groups
Mercz = Griefer Group All Military Groups = Griefer Groups
What he said. I'd just say join Ordo Imperialis if you are really really looking for a military group to join, but if you can avoid it, don't join any.
lol ordo
I develop some stuff there, so, I have to promote it. :v:
First day I tried out Second Life, I tried these offer things. I must have put my real number on accident, because I began to have people in India calling my house, asking for names like "Dark Ranger" and "Fucktard" And Penises. Everywhere.
I develop some stuff there, so, I have to promote it. :v:
Either way.
lol ordo
I've heard a lot about this game. Very little of it was good.
Meh, I'll take a look about in the military crap. If only to take a look at their "weapons" and laugh. I like to script in my spare time, so this could be "fun."
The guns suck mostly. I would not be surprised if they are made out of freebie scripts :v:
Someone needs to make a sniper rifle that can shoot across sims and the bullet is afected by physics ;-;
Someone needs to make a sniper rifle that can shoot across sims and the bullet is afected by physics ;-;
Oh, guns already do that, although it's horrible... horrible physics implementation = ugh
SL has allways looked like a big pile of shit to me. The idea of users making thier own gaming experiance is great, but has never, EVER been implemented very well. From what Ive heard from my friends, SL is bad, gmods better apparntly. Plus I dont trust giving my paypal to it, since England cant ue the cellphone thing apparntly.
GMod and SL don't have anything to do, except in GMod you just stack a pile of pretextured and premade models.
SL is a sandbox game, yes? Gmod is a sandbox game, yes? Case closed IMO.
For a start, SL is not a game. Is a virtual world. In a game you have objectives to achieve or do stuff just for fun and nothing productive. Case open IMO.
Gmod has no real objectives unless you play something like tower-deffence or build-a-boat. And if everything you do in SL is not for the purpose of fun, then WHY on earth to do you play it?
Good question. I actually "play" because I like talking to people I have there and squeeze the potential it has, as well to develop stuff and sell it.
My need to communicate is satisfied by IM programs like MSN, yahoo's whatever thing, ventrillo and STEAM's built in IM, just like every other normal internet user. And what is this potential you keep squeezing out, but never say what it actually is.
The potential to create WHATEVER you want, which you can't in any other game unless you create a mod for it, and you need to transfer it to everybody without being just able to have it put in your character and show it off, for a start. It is not just about talking either, sorry that I left some information, but you can create stuff on the fly with other people as well and you're able to show your own character. You can modify the behavior of the things and alter the normal... let's say, "gameplay" there thanks to the scripts you can create. Of course, you can turn SL into a game if you want, but for that you need land to setup the rules or join somebody else's land which has rules that are good for yourself. But the main purpose of SL is not to be a game, but a Virtual World. Doesn't have any actual objectives.
The only thing that seems super special new there is the "create anything" thing you got going. So what, you get to put cubes, orbs etc into something to make something. If you can show me something thats completely awesome in everyway possible in SL, I would consider a sign up.
I don't know what would be completely awesome by your standards, so...
Your a frequent internet user that does not know the general usage of the word awesome? Something generally awesome by general standards.
Might check around when I can think what could be awesome for you.
Second Life has a real economy that you can make money from. Thats why people play it mostly :v:
For a start, SL is not a game. Is a virtual world. In a game you have objectives to achieve or do stuff just for fun and nothing productive.
Wait, what? Second Life is a game as far as anyone is concerned. "Virtual World" is more like a description.
Second Life (SL) is a virtual world developed by Linden Lab that launched on June 23, 2003 and is accessible via the Internet. A free client program called the Second Life Viewer[1] enables its users, called Residents, to interact with each other through avatars. Residents can explore, meet other residents, socialize, participate in individual and group activities, and create and trade virtual property and services with one another, or travel throughout the world, which residents refer to as the grid.
Case closed.
