It's not a 'game' in the traditional sense, just type something related to your interests in the search bar and go socialize. Alternatively you could go to a sandbox and try creating something. It's a lot easier to get familiar with if you know someone who can show you around.

For starters you might want to check out some businesses that have sites on SL, or museums or something, it's fun and you might even learn something new.

The items made in game are so advanced. I remember when I first started playing in 2005 (On and off, but I've quit for good now) I packaged a FREEBIE gravity gun script (Doesn't work anymore, due to all the push restricted places) into an item that consisted of 3 cylinder prims and two cube prims.

I made $250US off that in one month (Which at the time was $400 AU).

But now....you've got items that are made in 3dmax/maya/blender that look as good as guns in some retail games with scripts that take days and days to create, and the creators of the scripts who charge real wages.
