So.. Is Second Life worth playing/downloading?
That depends, since you don't actually "play" SL like you would a traditional game. It's more like a giant virtual sandbox where you can do/be practically anything you desire. Your enjoyment of the world is entirely up to you. Some like it, some take one horrified look and leave forever.
I like exploring the virtual assets of RL businesses and building stuff for example, and socializing with others since SL provides loads of ways to fool around and have fun while chatting. It can be a bit hard to get into at first thought, and a lot of people leave because they can't figure it out. Probably best to find an older user to teach and show you around a bit.
I build a lot and don't have time to see the ugly side of SL. There's a good fraction of serious users who aren't furfags, you just have to find them. It's free to play now though so that attracts a lot of kids.
Kids? I have not seen a single one, I think. Loads of idiots thought, but they seem to behave closer to the typical mentally retarded person than a kid. Some underage people sure, but usually no younger than 15-17, which is not too bad, and most of them aren't even annoying.
I also don't see why people keep complaining about furries. Furries are a rare sight outside of their own sims. What I personally find annoying are the vampire/bdsm/neko communities, because they make absolutely no effort to keep it to themselves and can be seen building their horrible full-bright oversized castles on practically every single residential sim and all over mainland too.

This is why, I no longer play within the grid of Second Life.
I've moved my company over to Openlifegrid, where I can now freely build :)

I had stuff worth like 100k lindens "Money ingame" or even more on me, I fucked it up by copying boting 1 thing and geting my self hardware banned.. Been hardware banned for atleast 1 year now. Not sure what i can do! Help :(
Of course use Emerald viewer,viewer 2 is crap and search is broken in V2. One thing i don't understand is why LL pushed the viewer on us without listening to what we had to say about it.
PLEASE tell me the next version/subversion is going towards what it used to be, and not a %&#$%*% internet browser!
