I think for most people it is, but I'm clinging on to it atm because of the creative allure. I don't see any other "game" or program that lets you share your artistic capabilities as much as this one. Speaking of trolls I had one fly and land by me while I was messing with some prims, he said "Whats up, Nigger-dick?" and then flew off :C

It's been years since I've dared to venture into it. I was young when I first found it, very young. At the horrid age of 13 (Yeah I know, I was fucking little), I found this when my Dad was playing it. I snuck on and made my own account, seeing as how my Father grew bored of it rather quickly.
The first area I chose to go to willingly, after about a good hour and a half of flying around places I had no right to even know existed, was the Public Weapons Testing sandbox. Within the first 10 minutes, I found myself astounded, standing in awe and intrigue as I stared, glassy eyed, at the contraptions and gizmos that the players had left scattered about in their merriment. The very first thing I saw, and what I was most fascinated by, was that floating black tentacle mass with the eyeball on the end of the tentacle. Now, most people regard this as a grief item, something that serves no real purpose and is rather ugly and useless, but, for me, at that time, that was the single most amazing thing I had ever seen. The wonderment is still fresh and clean in my mind. I ventured around more, experienced people with actual griefer tools (Cagers, pushers, I've seen and used/was attacked by all), and realized that with this game, I had discovered an entirely new world filled with things that I would have never found elsewhere. So, I embarked, headfirst, into what I now refer to as the dark descent, into Second Life.
And now, I think, with this, I might take it again.

Meh, I played this game a [b]really[/b] long time ago. I stopped because my character looked really creepy when I told him to point his hand at something and basically I was scared out of playing it. Not to mention you have to have money to do EVERYTHING.

I used to be absolutely addicted to SL like 4 years ago, I was constantly playing it 24/7 (Literally) and I couldn't get off it. When I got a new PC in 2007 and got Crysis and TF2, It helped me give up my addiction and I stopped playing SL for good and I have never been on the computer all day since :)
I was considering going back to it, but that might not be a good idea..

I totally understand you. When you have lots of friends on the second life you kinda forget about RL i was used to go nights without sleeping on second life in parties, raves and such.
I remember I played this a long time ago, I created a small script in a block that takes your money when you click on it, they fixed it and then I stopped playing when I got banned, I'm going to see if I can get on out of curiosity
