Finally someone with a fully front opinion.
I agree it sucks, but it's what I'm kinda stuck with. I don't have a gaming PC, I'm stuck with a MacBook and all I can really play is Nexuiz and SL.
Actually, Second Life sucks, yeah, but you need to discover the potential it has. Problem is that the developers don't know how to exploit it properly... which is rather sad and makes you think of a complete waste in such a great idea... but well, it is still enjoyable in some way, specially doing creative stuff.
Whilst my friends were looking at SL opensource client code, they found something like a bunch of unnecessary amount of globals. Though I have no idea what that means, but from my guessing it slows down the client quite a bit.

Pretty much all content is created by users. As long as the grid is up with minimal malfunctions, there's really no one to blame for it sucking except for the user base. And if that's the case, stop hanging about pubby places. (Dance clubs, popular places, sex places, etc)

Linden Labs just recently pretty much separated Adult content from the rest of SL, correct?

Yup. Generated a lot of controversy and angry people because not everybody can "age-verify".
Actually, I think it's pretty retarded. Linden Labs was looking to attract the education industry and big business by separating the adult content from the rest of SL, but they ended up turning a blind eye to the fact that they were alienating the section of the market that generated the vast majority of their revenue as a result.
Meh, I guess I'll try this game again, now that I'm not on an extremely shitty PC.

I think it's great personally. And anyone can age verify.
I didn't tell you this, but LL only sees "Pass or Fail" from the company who handles that for them. So if you're worried about that company having your info...
I think separating the adult content is great, I get tired of seeing smut everywhere. If I want smut I should have to look for it not have it slap me in the face every 10 seconds. I would imagine this means eventually merging the teen grid and main grid.
Plus the new adult grid bit is really nice without a bunch of laggy garbage every where yet. So go there and enjoy it while it lasts.

You don't seem to know much. Europeans, like me, can't age verify by the standard method. Luckily, my credit card allows me to be verified, but not everybody is american or is able to use a credit card with SL.
And europeans can't age verify by the standard method because it is ILLEGAL.

It always returned in fail to who tried to and the European Union forbids giving confidential information, specially to foreign third party companies, which is what the company asks for, that's why even TRYING to verify is illegal. Is not about wanting or not wanting to, is the law which won't let residents from the EU verify.

It's just a matter of how important on your conscious is it that you do absolutely everything by the book.
And no, you wouldn't have to break your country's laws to do it that way.

I haven't gotten an e-mail (which they said would be sent instantly), and no one has messaged me yet in-game, and I'm at the brink to just logging off, and forgetting I lost those 8 dollars.

At a random time after joining the server, my character would start... noclipping in a random direction after I started walking around a while. I couldn't change direction or adjust the speed, I kept going further and further. Said friend told me that it only happened on certain GPUs. (How?)

The reason you kept moving was lag, moving and not stopping is a big part of it.
Get a better computer, Get a better internet connection, Stop Whining, and actually try.

The guy who runs it has to personally IM you so when he gets in world he will do it and after you message him back and shit he will do the exchange

You don't seem to get it. It is not about breaking ToS, or about multi-accounts. What does griefers have to do with E.U. law?
It isn't so hard to understand: What I am saying is that the standard method breaks the E.U. law. Giving access to a foreign third party private company results in break of the law about government's confidential information with their citizen.
And I'm closing this topic with this, up to you to understand it or not.
