OMG OMG OMG OMG look what rebellion said to me(i dont know how to take pics so i will quote) rebellion:Trying to work out how we can get EG community more involved! rebellion:EG news is coming! Would you mind pointing us in the direction of the Facepunch forum and EG fan page? (if you dont believe me look at their twitter https://twitter.com/Rebellion) [editline]8th August 2013[/editline] They asked for this thread and another fanpage site and i gave them both :)
Got some pictures of the latest twitter messages: [t]http://i.imgur.com/tCOnykC.png[/t] Awesome.
Well they must be looking for some ideas ..... so lets give them some.
A speedup button would be nice. Sure, sure, you gotta keep an eye on your base, but when you're waiting for money to trickle in, you spend A LOT of time just staring at your screen
A speedup button would be nice. Sure, sure, you gotta keep an eye on your base, but when you're waiting for money to trickle in, you spend A LOT of time just staring at your screen
well dont you mean ways to make your money come faster, like new minions to do that?
well dont you mean ways to make your money come faster, like new minions to do that?
No, something that will speed up the game to remove long waits. I'm not sure if i'd like that though, it would kinda default the point of Acts of Infamy having timers and stuff if you can just increase the speed of everything.

How about ways to get minions travel faster?
If it's an EG2 and has a worldmap like the first, it'd be nice if minions of a higher rank could do that of a lower. For example, a mission requiring 2 technicians and a scientist should really be doable by 2 scientists and a quantum physicist, as they're higher up in the tree. Sure I understand the top tiers being totally different, but it was a minor annoyance I always had with EG1. I could have 5 spare martial artists and 6 marksmen, but would need to train one more guard for a mission to take place.
Heres some ideas the fanpage had Alright, let's see what ideas my brain cooked up today: -Random Island Generation -Different Bases at once!!! (Like in Sims, where you can check out different floors, but here, these are different bases with different functions, like a city base where you get money, etc. etc. etc.) -You buy different bases! -Different floors -Lots of guns -Multiplayer (send minions as to an enemy base as an act of infamy but you have to discover it first.) -The option to buy advanced minions -The possibility to make agents work for you -Minions can learn skills, get bonuses, and even turn into an advanced minon by interrogating agents. -Make your own evil genius -Female minions (Not only one class. Like there are female and male construction workers, M and F guards, etc.) -Different faces -Ragdoll physics! -You can influence government officials from your city base to give you money, get stuff done for you, or possibly even wage war against other nations and agencies. -Base Maintenance (like gas leak repairs) -Minions sometimes also use carts so you can bring in multiple objects at once. -Random accidents -A factory room (where you manufacture evil goods to be sold or used) -Robot minions!(Bought or made) -Building your own means of transportation (Heli Depot, Dock, etc.) -If you have a lot of disloyal minions, they will have a group revolt (You might see them plotting in the barracks and Mess Hall or anywhere else in your base) -Mastermind-'s Ideas -More rooms (like an employee bar for entertainment, mail room so the minions won't get homesick and lose loyalty and a shop to sell stuff to your minions for money) -Seperate the barracks from the gym and add a shower room for both of those rooms (They will be wearing a towel for cover while showering, don't worry) -Mental warfare (You can bring agents to see other agents be executed or tortured to lower their willpower so they might work for you, kill themselves or go crazy. If they go crazy, you can release them and send them back to the world, striking fear into the hearts of people as they try to imagine what horrors could've been done to make him lose his mind. You can also send bodies back to the agencies, to scare them. Low willpower spreads among the prisoners.) [editline]8th August 2013[/editline] I had some ideas to...most of them are already in your list but here are some more... -In base minion transportation:small trains, hover cars... -Advanced Alerts:Off alert, warning, yellow alert, red alert should be a big red button and when you push it the base should go to lockdown and red lights should start flashing. -Fire alert:A button to activate the fire alert wich will cause your minions to run around and start extuingishing flames (sory for bad english) -Elevators -Evil projects:such as building a supersoldier in the factory and sending it to the forces of justice -Advanced island defense such as rockets,gunships... -Being able to launch missiles on America,Europe... -More diplomacy with the forces of justice. -being able to assign henchman to a task:such as 'chief engineer' or 'supervisor base operations' The game would be sooo cool if all of these ideas could be in it.
I'd be happy if they took the amazing trap system EG1 had and actually made it more useful. You can easily do EG only using traps for research reasons, the only real use is if you spam one type of stat to lower (awareness is good) and then psych weak tag them, or make a megatrap for infinite money. This one's an example, and isn't perfect. [t]http://wiki.n1nj4.com/images/1/1e/Eg_tornado_trap.jpg[/t]

Their might also be things like power overloads or power failures... [editline]8th August 2013[/editline] Well people.... it's been 2 years since i played EG... time to reinstall it and play it again.
One thing i'd love to see is some customization for your minions and a base theme. Purchasable upgrades for minions like armour would be really nice as well. I like the idea of an escape pod for your Evil Genius to escape to another island. Perhaps there could be some sort of super secret thing that would mean you have to self destruct the base to stop anyone getting it.
I wish your actions on the world map actualy impacted the world somehow.

Have it as a purchasable alternate version to your desk that costs more, or just another piece of furniture for your inner sanctum. If shit goes bad you can use it to leave. Always hated the last part of swapping islands, had to be super careful because agents were still everywhere and the EG moves like a slug.
Well, it seems the new game is some sort of free social game. It's yet another facebook game. All that waiting and hoping to get a full game was for nothing...
WHY WOULD REBELLION DO THIS?!
WHY WOULD REBELLION DO THIS?!
For months I've been checking the Rebellion Twitter page, seeing all the messages about a new Evil Genius game being made was great. This is the most disappointing thing they could of done. People have wanted a new Evil Genius game for years, not another social Facebook game. Rebellion have just crushed all hope of anything good happening with Evil Genius.
Ok before we say anything bad about them(i have a lot of bad things to say) lets make sure theres not gona be an EG2.
It seems obvious that there won't be. The game they have been mentioning for the past few months was a Facebook game. If they had anything more to show like a full game, they would of mentioned it.
GODDAMN YOU REBELLION. FUCKING GOD. I MEAn FOR FUCKS SAKE WHAT A LOAD OF SHIT, IF THEY WE'RE ANOUNCING A FUCKING SOCIAL GAME ON FACEBOOK FOR FUCKING 8 YEAR OLDS AND THEIR MOMS THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE BOTHERED. [editline]8th August 2013[/editline] Ah. Got that out of my system. Evil genius should NEVER go online. It's the feeling that you're one of the most important evil corporations/groups that gets the game going. That you're the antagonist in a movie
I honestly would of preferred it if they had done nothing with EG. No one wants another Facebook game.
Because their last Evil Genius Facebook game was so great. In all seriousness, if they want something accessible to everyone why not go mobile instead of Facebook? Facebook is a sinking ship and they decide to try to cash in on it now? That seems odd. Also where is the official announcement?

[editline]8th August 2013[/editline] I mean I'm looking at the wiki and I have no idea how to link this thing up.

[editline]8th August 2013[/editline] If you look at the top left, they actually get blown in from the entry hall.
Look at the twitter for info about the facebook game... the most horrible news ever.
Look at the twitter for info about the facebook game... the most horrible news ever.
Everyone should send a message to Rebellion on twitter saying how disappointed they are. I've been wanting a new game for years, instead we get something i won't even consider playing.
