I already posted something similar to reddit (which the devs read more) but it got kind of drowned under because I pitched it as a solution to spawn camping instead of better capture mechanics, meaning the whole point of my message was lost under "LEWL YOU CAN NEVER TRUELY STOP SPAWN CAMPERNS"

Post the same thing again pitched as better capture mechanics instead, they probably have such short attention spans they won't realize it's been posted before and take it seriously

The planetside reddit (like most sub-reddits) aren't that bad. The Official forums are a cesspit and most of the worst members of the community hang out there so all the good stuff (and dev focus) tends to be posted in places like reddit and planetside universe

The biggest issue I'd like to see tinkered with is the standing around for 5 minutes with nothing to do while you capture an undefended base.
What if they just made it so that if no attackers are killed by enemies within the base for more than a minute after the base has been neutralized, then the base insta-caps to the attacking team?
That would kill off some of the downtime and it's more incentive for attackers to stay alert/not be killed. It may even discourage spawnroom camping because of how easy it is to be killed from a spawnroom attacker. I'm talking about bases that have 0 defending forces. It's kinda ridiculous that with no resistance you have to stand around for close to ten minutes.

I see this posted a lot but it really just sounds like a meme/bandwagon reply at this point. A lot of the sub-reddits are actually pretty decent.

Or atleast something which breaks up the boringness of ghost-capping, it's tedious and has to be done in some occasions which sucks, even more in order to either reach the fun areas or strengthen your grip around a target.

i don't really like this idea but i think with the right tuning it could work (though i like korjax's idea the most)
if you have bases auto-cap from no resistance, what's to stop a faction from taking half the map in ten minutes if the other two are fighting a stalemate or two. the timer is in place mostly so that players in other parts of the continent have time to react accordingly
one player could let themselves die over and over again to delay the caps, but there's no incentive for that player to gimp their fun besides the sake of the faction. there could be systems put in place to reward that kind of sacrifice but that would put us back to square one
Unfortunately the long cap times are needed to allow defenders to go to nearby bases to attack from not the spawn coffin.
But yeah, it is a problem when nothing is happening and nothing can happen and the base just won't cap.

Galaxies are to Liberators as Sunderers on steroids are to MBTs. Plus, you can't kill other vehicles unless they go into downs mode and start trying to wither down your huge health pool while you keep hitting them constantly. Also, Bulldogs have some crazy splash damage, but two Basilisks will turn a tank into scrap metal for the long-ass time it'll keep shooting you, they're great.

I see they've done away with dome shields. I'm glad, despite how excited I was when they first announced them. The nexus preview showed us that we don't need dome shields to make bases more infantry friendly, just better base design.
EDIT: Too many bases to see, and too many people on the TS right now to get around without getting shot.

Yeah that's pretty much how I feel about it. Besides that, most of them seem pretty situational and the ones that are more universal seem pretty tame anyway.
'P2W' has really lost its meaning imo. When I think "pay to win" I think of all those shoddily made Korean games where you have to pay $5 just to [I]rent[/I] a gun for a day and you get your guts kicked out if you didn't buy anything because the free gear sucks shit logs.
Nothing about P2W but I simply hate time-based unlocks
