Light assaults are going to have a field day with that
Kinda sad but happy? I mean its arguably one of the only redeeming factors of the LA class, making it take more than one means you spend a huge amount of infantry resources to effectively do nothing (as you can't ever deal more damage than what the C4 provides as a LA). But maybe it'll mean C4 becomes better at finishing tanks off rather than outright killing them, so good for "vulturing" injured tanks. I'd be cool with the above if they make it so the C4 are responsive, so you can literally just quickly place and go instead of what happens now where it takes you a full couple of seconds to between bricks and then after you've placed everything it takes a few more seconds before your button pressing animation even bothers starting. This really sucks because it means you can't get in an out in battles (it's extremely unlikely you'll successfully C4 a tank in an area with multiple tanks unless you are literally super high up), which means C4 is pretty much only useful against tanks that are by themselves or unnoticed at large I'd also like them to drop the price to about 75 res/C4 if they do the above too, because if you play a class actively with C4 you pretty much exclude yourself from getting any other grenade type, from using max units, etc which sucks
you seriously have the worst fucking ideas "c4 and flashes need to be buffed"
Light assaults are going to have a field day with that
Don't even remind of all the MAX'es standing in a row, waiting to take the first guys place as the attackers push on. [editline]18th July 2013[/editline] And the lib pilots, it'll be a cert fest!
you seriously have the worst fucking ideas "c4 and flashes need to be buffed"
Its as if you didn't read my post at all gg
Its as if you didn't read my post at all gg
let's make c4 even easier to use, because it's the "only redeeming factor to la" and atv's without overpowered splash damage dealing cannons are worthless
Where's the bad reading rating when it's needed?
let's make c4 even easier to use, because it's the "only redeeming factor to la" and atv's without overpowered splash damage dealing cannons are worthless
I think it's time to stop posting
I too think C4 for the LA is badly handled. It's certainly not their only redeeming value. It is such a powerful class-defining power that it should at least be available for cheaper than it is, so players don't need to spend so much time getting it. For the Flashes, I don't think they're ever going to be dangerous.
I wouldn't care as much about about the C4 nerf if it weren't for the fact that C4 is so unreliable and expensive to begin with. Sometimes it will just disappear when detonated, sometimes it will explode but deal no damage. Most of the time you have to hit the detonator 5 times before it will even think of exploding.
Oh dear. https://recruit.soe.com/?theme=soe
Invite your friends to share the fun in any of the participating games below and they will get a FREE Welcome Kit just for logging in. Once your friend becomes an official Recruit by making a qualifying purchase, you both get to choose from a selection of Rewards! It doesn't end there! As you recruit more and more friends, you can rise through the Ranks and earn even more Achievement Rewards. That means to get the helmet I've been wanting since it first popped up on the test server several months ago, I have to get 25 friends (yeah right) and convince each one of them to spend $10 on the game (yeah fucking right) or create 25 accounts and spend $250. I'm usually the first to defend SOE's business practices, but fucking hell SOE JUST LET ME BUY MY DAMN CLOSED FACE HELMET.

They're pretty much actively limiting their own income by not letting people buy most of that stuff.
This referral system, with these kind of limitations and qualifications is not going to stick. Because it's just bullshit. Who would be able to get 25 people into the game and make sure they stick and pay $10 reliably? I believe most of the people who wanted to get their friends into PS, already did that. I know I did. So who's the overwhelming majority people who are going to be able to get those rewards? You guessed it right, big youtubers and Twitch streamers.
I think it's time to stop posting
while i do love being insulted without critique maybe you can back up why making c4 easier to use than grenades (instant drop and controlled detonation) and cheaper is a good idea balance wise (not being able to play light assault without it only reflects on you)
they want you to make alt accounts and spend $250 for the helmets
The saddest part is that somewhere some people will actually do it.
The saddest part is that somewhere some people will actually do it.
All I want is the camo. Those camo sets look awesome. I've been saying for a while that PS2's active population seems to have dropped off really severely, really quickly, and IMO this is just another desperate new attempt to bring in revenue (and bodies) by Sony. I admit that I'm part of the problem - probably the best review of the game I can give is that I only bother logging in anymore when there's something good on sale, since I still have 2200 SC gathering dust. Pop ingame, buy item, log out. If I could do it through the website I would. The subreddit long ago became circlejerk central, so it's nice to see some, you know, actual honest discussion about shit here.
Guys they probably are releasing the helmits soon anyways don't worry I think its kind of neat actually, invite some friends to play and both of you get a nice chunk of free stuff if at least two of them spend $10 on it Of course its silly that they go all the way to 25, but I guess that's perfect for outfit leaders or something, especially since EVERYONE in the outfit apart of that 25 friend groups gets the reward tiers if everyone jumps in [editline]19th July 2013[/editline]
All I want is the camo.
Guys they probably are releasing the helmits soon anyways don't worry

@rhapsody_wolf The rewards are exclusive to the recruitment program. ^Hiro
Negative.
The only people who will get 25 recruits legitimately are youtubers most likely, and that's about it.
The only people who will get 25 recruits legitimately are youtubers most likely, and that's about it.
Or outfit leaders/inviters.
I think i can pull off at least the first one, during this whole recruitment center thingy i managed to invite 2 peeps that i know. Problem is getting them to spend cash on the game.
Haha, wow. A referral system. Just when you think they couldn't possibly fuck up anymore when it comes to cosmetics in an F2P game. The bases are nice and all, and really great for the game. But there are some clueless people in charge of the game here.
if that MAX lumifiber is really referral only I'm going to throw a fit
Negative.
The helmets are called "-SE" so they might actually just be a fancier variant. Maybe. There's even some tank weapons and the already released ESF lumifiber that use the same "special edition" thing so not all is lost MAX lumifiber doesn't and it makes me furious

Now that I (and my friends) can, we're finding it hard to justify because of the near complete lack of a metagame. It's really not as fun as I was expecting, even though on a tactical level it generally plays better than PS1 did. PS1 had the metagame though, the strategic element... Really doesn't help that NC outfits on Mattherson are largely concentrated dogshit.

You either get the run of the mill version or do something else to get one with a free e-peen extension.

The fighting is good and all there, but once you've got the weapons you want, there's no reason to fight any more. Alerts helped, but there's still no game behind it.
they want you to make alt accounts and spend $250 for the helmets
If people that did this (and there will be) were smart they'd sell them on for like $9 on ebay or something when they're done with them to make some amount back.
