It's definitely happening today, but it's starting to feel like it's going to be happening for all of today.
They've uploaded big patches before I don't see what the problem is.

don't expect to play on patch days

It seems they're making the harasser weaker against firearms, alon with composite armor for it as well. This isn't going to make my attacks against infantry any easier as their firearms already tended to rape me up very fast :v: (but it might be because I just charged right at the frontline instead of thinking for once and ambushing from the sides or rear)

They just need to make it so capping a base is an active thing not a passive one and only those who are within the cap area get that XP. So as soon as you cap the last point you need you get the territory, no timers or anything, and everyone within 150m or so of the point cap gets objective XP (big enough to mean you don't have to spam on the point to get the points, small enough to make it so people can't just fly into the base at the last second to grab XP as easily),
The cap points would have to be taken in order and take longer to cap (so maybe a minute), meaning base capture takes just as long as before under normal conditions, the difference being you don't win the base until you actually capture the last point

I wasn't even aware infantry firearms damaged harassers at all considering they have more rear armor than an MBT does and enough standard armor overall to rival a lightning, not to mention the ability to repair on the fly

Yep, they're having issues copying the patch files over to the servers.

Well that sucks, just logged in a bought the new SMG. Got disconnected and my character rolled back so that I no longer have the SMG or the Station Cash I spent on it.
I'd steer clear of buying anything for now just in case.

But then that screws over the people who are actively assisting in the battle, but aren't necessarily anywhere near the cap point. I'm mainly thinking of those few people who stick with the sunderer to keep it safe.

The new smg is kinda eh, it suffers quite a bit because of it's longer range.
But damn it has a good reload animation.

I'd steer directly into support. It's your cash you spent, so you'd better ask for that SMG.

Anyone else having issues unlocking attachments for the new SMG? it's all greyed out for me for some reason.
It's the NS-7G that seems to be having this problem, not the other ones.

Thats why the radius would be big enough to easily cover the whole battle but not so big that anyone glancing in the territory gets it
People who are too far away from the point anyways don't get points for cap
I guess that would make it work like it does now though as far as XP reward. Maybe just make it so every time an objective is completed, everyone in the "base range" of the base get the objective XP reward (the people who actually caught the point would get that and a small capture reward like you do already). You could still technically just hang out in a battle and farm for XP but the difference is the XP will never come if your faction never actually completes the objectives so theres more encouragement to actually participate and assit in the fight
I like the update. Esamir is very different now, especially with the lattice system in place. Also the bases are pretty crazy now, much more close quarters on Esamir inside bases.
Not sure what to make of the new SMG.
I play TR and my Inf uses the Hailstorm and it is a very effective gun. My Engineer uses the Trac 5 AMC as it is effective for longer ranged engagements. Not sure what class this new SMG is aimed at as it seems very similar to the Armistice but with a slower fire rate.
What situations or usage do you think the new SMG should be used for as TR?

Oh and from using it in the VR room I have to say the gun looks good and I love the reload animation.
the NS SMG is a straight downgrade from the NC blitz SMG, the only difference is that the NS one has less damage reduction at slightly longer ranges, but it certainly is not worth it.
