It really trades DPS for accuracy much like the T5 AMC, which makes it far more deadly than it looks.

I would be contacting every person I could to get my characters and stuff back. But it does not seem like you are that bothered so I guess you didn't put that much time into your characters.

Plus I had a horrible character name and a terrible K/D from when I was first starting out.

So the esamir update is nice for infantry battles but apparently kinda sucks for vehicles in that every base pretty much requires you to leave your vehicle in order to be useful. Which makes the september resource update exciting, as if we have bases like Esamir mixed with the resource system via ANT's that'll be really exciting and actually drive an importance to using vehicles for an actual strategic purpose. The interior of a base was pitch black. It was stupid. Dark nights would work far better now, as there's much more static lighting in bases.

Also on The subject of darker nights, bases having perimeter floodlights that perfectly illimunate for a few meters and then total darkness would look really freakin cool.
i came back to this game after a couple months on my dad's more powerful pc it runs even worse than it did on mine how did they miss it up this bad

I think it's okay. Nights in arma 2 are so fucking dark i thought my computer crashed when i joined a game at night for the first time and the screen was completely black. Edit: or my monitor's brightness might be too low, but i like to think it's your guy's fault for having your screens too bright :v:

I played for the first time since the update today. I quite like the new Esamir. Especially how it actually has trees now. Is auto-resupply broken or something though?
Hey does anyone here play on the Waterson server; also what faction? Cause I know allot of you are TR but that kinda changed to VS... kinda.
Everyone on my outfit hates the new esamir :( My outfit lead's biggest gripe is that it makes the whole map feel like one giant CoD map because everything is so dense and cluttered now. He likes some of the new base layouts, hates how every base is super fortifited on top of there being so many bases and with little open space between (basically, bases are kind of like PS1 now in flow... but theres 4X as many, and no open battleground between). I do think that the lattice and base layouts would work a lot better if there was simply less lattice links/stops, more optional/lessfortified stuff off the links, and something to push the fight out into the open every now and then (the new resource system will provide this).
Wasn't Esamir originally the continent that was intended to be quite open with few bases and lots of fighting in the open.
