All the new Player Studio helmets ready to go into the game.

Nothing for NC. :(
That's not a bad thing considering it's amateur hour horseshit reusing the sample objects and either redoing existing designs or going for weird approximations of existing designs. That new armor thing has a couple NC helmets in it that don't look like complete ass. We just have to wait a while for a closed VS helmet that isn't literally a dude following a modeling tutorial.
There are a good bunch of decent NC helms on the PS forums, and yes, a lot of shit ones though. It just sucks that the good ones haven't been submitted yet. The above ones are far from amateur though.
Nah remaking the Hydra is pretty amateurish and the cobra commander helmet is just a dude following a smooth surfaces tutorial for Maya IIRC, and most of the TR ones weren't textured right (which they're not objecting to because half the cosmetics aren't textured right). There is some cool shit in the pipe but these are like the first run of camos in terms of quality.

I mean it beats the fucking wolf thing but this is still pretty much deviantart-on-parade right now.
all those helmets except far left look good to me
i kinda like the third helmet :<
I like all of them. I just think Xeno doesn't know how to not hate everything.
Got blown up by an AV turret, so I decided to buy it to be on the other side of things. That thing's like, really good. Also shot down the little shit that got me (and spurred me into buying one) a few times.

and now your comment has pushed me into getting it
the line continues :v:
It used to be a lot better back when vehicles had less hp.
You could kill lightnings with one hit from the back.
AV turret is the only thing currently in the game I would call OP.
A wire guided missile fired from such a hard to spot source should not hit as hard as it currently does
I like it when enemy infiltrators think they can out-snipe me when I use the MANA AV turret.
It's cute.
I bought and jezus fuck, I did not expect it to have infinite range.
I can see a tank on the edge of my render distance and hit it each time, instead of following the bullet I follow the light that it emits while heading to the target.
I heard an optimisation patch came out
did it work

It isn't live, but on the current PTS build performance is significantly improved.
oh wow, I wonder how much my performance will be improved with.
Does that mean that I can now get more than 5-10fps in big battles?

I'd say harassers (why do these fucking things have more armor than a lightning and an MBT's rear section AND you can repair while driving them) and strikers (which will get balanced more with the changes they are doing with lock-on mechanics in general) are pretty OP as well
Strikers are massively overpowered but also super boring to use. If they just flat-out nerf it, it'll just be used as rarely as the Annihilator.
I want an unguided version that shoots fast rockets so badly.
I usually see harassers as a free kill when I'm in an MBT tbh.
Strikers aren't OP, but when you find one guy using it he's probably surrounded by twenty other people using Strikers.
Strikers can't be dumbfired, which makes them worthless against infantry, MAXes, turrets, and tanks that poke in-and-out of cover. You can negate an entire salvo from multiple TR Strikers with one level in IR smoke or decoy flares.

At least you get some warning when being targeted by Strikers. Fighting VS you get hit by near-hitscan laserbeams with no warning, and NC you get hit by Phoenixes whose trajectories are not shown to other players, resulting in taking damage from rockets that should have missed you by thirty meters (though this is being fixed).
and once the clipping trough terrain issue is fixed (already is on PTS) with strikers it will make them less rage-inducing when magically being hit by one.
I was thinking recently that it would be interesting if a mortar was added to the game as it would change things up a bit. It would work great for a team weapon as it would tell you the coordinates of where the round would land and you have a friend tell you coordinates to fire at. This would add a new tool to the infiltrator class that being binoculars that give coordinates of what you are looking at. Now the infiltrator could play a more helpful role in taking out vehicles or base defenses.
This would also add a new target for ESFs to look out for as you would be an easy target. It would be a great defensive and offensive weapon to use. Great for taking out sunderers or anti air guns on towers.
As long as it is not to powerful it could aid nicely and with the requirement of a friend to give you coordinates you would not have loads of randoms blind firing accurately. And for what class to give it to I was not sure I would either say engineer or because that class has a number of things at its disposal anyway give it to the heavy assault. To help keep spamming of the weapon down I suppose you could always make its rounds cost like c4 or grenades do.

As normal I would not be surprised if you guys hated it but I just though it would be a nice edition that might change things a bit. Help stop camping in hard to reach places and stuff maybe even have different round types such as smoke for getting across large open peaces of land.

They don't clip through terrain - if you fire a Striker, you can see the missile (usually) intelligently swerve past rocks and hills to hit targets. I guess it just has the same stupid problem that the Phoenix has, where only the player firing the missiles can see the things turning.
I just thought of faction specific grenades. Wonder if that'd be fun.
Like TR napalm grenades (damage over time), VS plasma grenades (high damage, high falloff) and NC cluster nades (guess)?
TR lock-on grenades, clearly.
NC cluster nades (guess)?
NC just throw shotguns which may or may not discharge on impact.
I'm getting a 300 MB update for some reason.
