I disagree with the practice too, but I also agree with the practice of reading the terms of a agreement before you agree and give someone money. I'm fairly sure the phrasing on the box in this situation is "500 sc each month while you remain subscribed" not "500sc each month while your subscription lasts". A pretty important distinction. Sucks to be blindsided by it, but there was warning.
That is an extremely blurry distinction, at best. If I read that, I would assume that it meant for the duration of my subscription, because for it to mean anything else would just be silly. [editline]4th November 2013[/editline] It's literally nothing but dancing around some horseshit fine print nonsense to try and trick aware people into accidentally letting their subscription renew, and unaware people into having to purchase additional station cash because they logically assumed that their subscription lasted until the end of the period that they paid for. [editline]4th November 2013[/editline] On an unrelated note: did they change the model/texture pattern for infiltrators? I don't remember my NC infiltrator having these big blue patches on the chest and legs before. I was fairly sure that in their case, applied camo changed the entire model to that color, save for some black bits and some minor colored stripes?

I don't think I saw any of it posted here but recently Vanu Labs put up a bunch of videos showing off new voice clips / types. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBDwsttAIcVFTn9KthgBmmsHz5k5Y5FLk Some of them are great. Some are terrible.

That one almost sounds as if they just pitch-shifted a female VA's lines to me. Speaking of female VA's, the TR one had me in stitches when she said "grenade!"
I'm getting at least 10+ extra FPS compared to what I used to get, and having way fewer frame spikes, to boot. If this is just the super minor stuff, I'm excited to see how the big one is going to impact my performance. I have an older machine, so I'll take whatever I can get.
i'm on an older rig too and it was just at the threshold of being enjoyable and not. the lag spikes were what took me out. i guess i'll reinstall it and give it a go.
I was running a Phenom II 955 quad core when the game hit beta. Getting that thing to play PS2 at any respectable speed was a nightmare. I had to upgrade to an i5. I hope it plays better for you guys now.

Have they changed the lasher? Aside from a smaller effect(so you can still see your enemies cry for mercy) and a new mean sound it feels like the balls travel faster.

https://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/index.php?threads/omfg-pu01-status-update.156817/
Has this dev team ever once in its entire history met one of their deadlines? They really oughta just stop setting them. I'd rather hear, "it's ready when it's ready," than have deadlines consistently pushed back.
On the Mattherson server, VS protected a bio lab on Amerish from a TR zerg rush in a huge war that lasted about 30-40 minutes.
Personally, I prefer the system of setting a deadline. If they don't reach it, delay it, and try again. It gives you something to look forward to, regardless on whether it comes out or not.
On the Mattherson server, VS protected a bio lab on Amerish from a TR zerg rush in a huge war that lasted about 30-40 minutes.
30-40 minutes is pretty short for a biolab farm.
I haven't played in months. Are the camos still ugly as all hell?
yes and they still cost 5 euros* *if you only want it on one of three things, otherwise you'll have to spend 15 :downs:
except when they do that they destroy their credibility with the playerbase. case and point, i wont $20 off a bet over it. i dont expect sony to meet deadlines now, so why even have them.
It's not about missing deadlines and losing credibility, it's about setting a goal to strive for. People are much more effective if there is something they are running to, or something they are chasing. For example: In a foot-race, either you are in the front or behind, each one an equally viable method of encouragement to keep trying harder in order to maintain, or improve your standing. The deadline is a goal to progress towards, and you consider and adjust your planning in order to reach it. Would you keep running at the same speed and risk tiring out? Do you take it a bit slower and use your energy for a burst in the end? It is very difficult to set a proper deadline on projects, because unless you invest the time and you can figure out the work-pace, you won't know if you'll reach the deadline in time. Then there are the little gremlins that make their way into development. All of this considered, a deadline, even a personal and unvoiced one, is a very valuable thing to have.

I can deal with a broken heart, my friends give up when I keep telling them they'll be able to play again
What was the earliest they said it was going to come out? October 27th, I think. That's a while ago now.

Anybody have a fun and active NC outfit on Waterson? I've never really been in a proper outfit, and I'm beginning to think it might be a bit more fun that way. [editline]8th November 2013[/editline] One that isn't too spastic about being the tacticoolest outfit in town, preferably. I play for fun, not to yell out goofy military acronyms. I like being a dedicated gunner, especially for MBT's. Most fun secondary guns, in my opinion: 1) Enforcer-- an anti-armor weapon that can, in a pinch, pick off infantry. 2) Basilisk-- hugely underrated gun that rules for killing nearby enemy infantry, and can put out a surprising amount of hurt on other vehicles 3) Kobalt-- It's just so nice to be able to pluck a dude from across the world. I really don't care for the fury or bulldog. The Halberd is fun, but I'd deffo prefer the enforcer. And let's not talk about the enforcer modified.
I think the Kobalt requires way to many hits from long range to kill people. I find the Halberd to be more reliable at any range than it, because it'll kill people instead of sending them in a zigzaggy run.
The kobalt can damn near instantly kill anybody within a couple hundred meters, if they're standing still. It's almost laser-accurate. True, it's not great against distant zigzagging targets, but that heavy who popped up to try and get a missile lock is going to have a bad day, and that's just about your primary target as the gunner for a tank anyway. The halberd is too slow and very unforgiving for missed shots.
ive always found the kobalt to be a damn automatic sniper. so easy to kill people with that. however i like the halberd much better than the enforcer. enforcer has no splash and takes two shots to kill infantry.
I much prefer it for anti-armor, personally! It is a lot more forgiving having 10 rounds per cycle than just one. Halberds rule, but I just find the Enforcer a bit more fun.
Pimp yo Flash. Fine, it's in the VR room, but the second they have another SC sale, this shit is on. Except for the glowy antenna ball, because that doesn't turn off when you cloak.
Started playing this with my friends, having a lot of fun. Seen some epic and hilarious stuff in the short time I've played already.
So why does this game still run like absolute ass on AMD/ATI hardware? And why did a light assault take 15+ rounds from my Engie assault rifle at a distance of what must have been 5 feet not die exactly?
