• Planetside 2 V6 - VS capped Indar? It's more likely than you think

on connery it seems like we have an even population spread with TR a bit behind for most of the day. then vanu takes 50% at night... i legitimately dont like fighting vanu and quite a bit of my outfit agree, and TR maxes are more fair to engage than a zoemax. maybe its not collusion, but more NC doesnt want to fight vanu and the vanu just go along with it. also, back on helios the vanu and TR actually tried to team up against the NC but it didnt last more than 4 hours because the pubbies dont listen.
It's fucking hilarious how true this is i mean, sure every once in a while it just so happens that two factions end up ganking on the third but on waterson, that shit happens CONSISTENTLY, it's impressive. Once, i was fighting an NC zerg on amerish, when we had roughly 1/5 of the map. The NC could fight the vanu on like, 5 other hexes, but not a single one of them had people fighting they were both fighting us on these 2 hexes next to each other when the vanu zerg made it trough the other hex, they reached the one i was fighting in against the NC THE SECOND A SINGLE FUCKING MAG RIDER POPS UP, EVERY SINGLE NC UNIT AND VEHICLE PULLS OUT. It was ridiculous, one second we're fighting a massive NC zerg, then a respawn later, the vanu is replacing them. Edit: IT JUST FUCKING HAPPENED AGAIN alert goes on for one and a half hours, we're winning with roughly 45% territory on indar all the way trough, then suddenly VANU decides that it doesn't like TR, and NC is all like "well now i'm totally okay with that point of view" and suddenly we're anally butt fucked by both of them and end up with 20 something per cent losing the alert to the vanu god fucking damn it
I've actually started playing NC a lot on Waterson, and I can confirm, through group planning, certain Outfits openly cooperate in Alerts, mainly Vanu Drop Squad, Planet Express Crew, ZAPS, and Sunshine Delivery Service. NC isn't easy, and trust me, the NC/Vanu fight a whole fucking lot (and get angrier at each other more than the TR does, even), but during Alerts, so much of Platoon voice chat is "Don't kill those VS, they're helping us out", and lo and behold, said VS are part of the Outfits I mentioned. I actually did ask why we were helping the Vanu, and the reasoning was "TR outpops both of us and the only way we can take some points is by working together." That's slightly understandable, I guess, but I wish that was the public reason. Any time a TR player asks why they're cooperating, they get spammed with /yells of "LOL SHIT TR" or "LOL BADDIES" or "Deal w/ it" and shit like that. It seems like these Outfits do that kind of shit not so much because they want to win, but because they want to rub it in the TR's faces. Honestly, a good chunk of PS2's community on Waterson isn't competitive or friendly to one another in the slightest. It's all about trolling, abrasiveness, and asserting your "dominance" because of your skill in vidya. All three empires are guilty of it.
I dunno how but my fps got a lot worse Granted, my pc sucks (GTS450 and an i3-2100) but it was somehow running at 20-30 fps on medium before and now it barely gets 30 fps on low
I dunno how but my fps got a lot worse Granted, my pc sucks (GTS450 and an i3-2100) but it was somehow running at 20-30 fps on medium before and now it barely gets 30 fps on low
My performance is really random too. Before on an ATI 5900, I got around 40 FPS on Medium, 30 in big battles. My new card, a GTX 670, along with a newer processor and 16 gigs of RAM, gives me around 70-80 FPS and around 45-50 in big battles on Medium (before the update). However, the game's FPS bounces all over the place with smoothing on, and with smoothing off, it's locked too low; post-update, I only get around 50 FPS and 35-40 in big battles on Medium, and I only get a 5 frame boost going to Low, with Render Quality and Render Distance turned down. The peformance seems totally random; at the warpgate, sometimes I have very high FPS, then minutes later, with nothing going on, I drop to the low 40s. With smoothing off, I can get upwards of 140 FPS, but it dips down into the 30s at complete random. PS2 isn't optimized for shit.
I got my first hackusation today! Granted, it was a rather impressive killing spree. There was a squad sprinting to a Sunderer, and I just fell in behind them and started taking them out one at a time. I got, like, eight of the bastards before they dropped me, and immediately after I died I got the following Tell: "reported you hacking son of a bitch"
Response: "Reported for zero situational awareness."
Response: "Reported for zero situational awareness."
That's why I like playing infiltrator! I was kickin' butt pretty hard today in general, tho! I rolled deep in my Kobalt BattleFlash, and was having a grand ole time. My best spree was thirteen nerds dropped in one go. I especially like watching my minimap and hunting down snipers and AV turrets, because snipers and AV turret users are straight up jerks who deserve to be repeatedly killed by an invisible ATV. My happiest moment was finding one of those "I snipe at 600 meters because I can't stand the thought of tarnishing my KD" snipers way the hell out in the mountains, getting off my flash, walkin' up behind him, and simultaneously screaming, "HELLO!" while knifing his butt off. Can enemies hear proximity chat? I certainly hope so.

Opinions?
[editline]14th November 2013[/editline] you dick
SMG's are pretty solid in general. They don't do as much DPS as carbines or LMGs or whatever, but they have super accuracy at close/mid range and almost no recoil or bloom while hipfiring, even while moving. [editline]14th November 2013[/editline] They pretty much rely on the element of surprise to kick butt, though. In a straight up brawl you will prolly die unless you land a bunch of headshots.
does anyone here play cobalt TR?
does anyone here play cobalt TR?
Pretty sure I'm on Cobalt playing TR.
Pretty sure I'm on Cobalt playing TR.
I think I saw you earlier! Are you swebonny1337?
I think I saw you earlier! Are you swebonny1337?
Swebo, you didn't...
I trialed the EM1. Walked up some stairs, saw 3 TR in a doorway strafing in and out of it to the balcony shooting a MAX outside. They basically had their backs to me 20 feet away Iron Sights up, M1 engaged. It was fun killing all three but the main thing I took away from it is that the Em1 is terrible. It seemed like every shot hit but it still took over 60 rounds to down all 3

We have pubically stated that fighting the TR alone is bullshit. The VS players saw that not fighting the NC at all gave them a better chance at winning. Also, I'll take sexy spandex after fascism anyday. Live free in the NC. [editline]15th November 2013[/editline] You have to keep in mind that on Waterson, players from the VS NEVER participated in the alerts, leaving it just the NC getting crushed. The game's actually balancing out now.
I used to feel this way about the TR, but ever since ZOE took its stand, I am willing to set aside my differences with the reds. Can't stand fighting against the VS right now, because every third unit is one of those absurdly overpowered ZOE MAX's. >:|

TR have all the good weapons, and Vanu have all the easy weapons. NC weapons are neither good nor easy. I've been running around with the stock Engineer carbine and Heavy LMG. If I'm going to have lots of recoil, I might as well get the most out of each shot. Slap a foregrip and compensator on it and it's alright. And I just prefer the Engineer carbine's iron sights. I'm just going to save 1000 Certs and get the NS-15M
Appearantly I have the same username as a well known youtube person who makes Ps2 videos. It explains why I get bombarded by friend requests from people and the countless PM's asking me "is it really you?". At first it was hilarious and confusing. But I've quickly found out that being mistaken for a celebrity has it's perks. The youtuber in question is "Koolaid" where as I go by "CoolAid". lmfao [editline]15th November 2013[/editline]
NC weapons are neither good nor easy.
If you're not dominating your field of fire with the stock HMG you're doing something wrong. Just spray and run towards the enemy and they will die.
If you're not dominating your field of fire with the stock HMG you're doing something wrong. Just spray and run towards the enemy and they will die.
lol no
lol no
In CQB, yes.
In CQB, yes.
If the enemy is terrible or you're so close that the massive COF spread doesn't matter, then yes. If the enemy is any further than that, evading and shooting back, no. Gauss Saw is deadly as fuck at mid-long range, but any high firerate weapon (i.e both TR and VS starter LMGs) will 9 times out of 10 beat it in close quarters.

I don't know what it is about their weapons but they feel like they work all the time. I get a lot of What the Fuck I don't Understand moments with NC weapons in comparison

So this just happened on Briggs Indar.
