The 250 cert minigun for the TR MAXes is pretty solid. They all are, to be honest. Some are just a bit more niche than others. The TR MAXes are pretty versatile (at least compared to the NC MAX)!

I have developed a hatred for everything that is the striker. Fracture Max squads take a close second. Double AT Vanguards take third. Honorable mention would be Halberd Harrassers that end up being stronger then MBTs (I pilot crabs.)
How come I am the only one I see using the lancer? It feels a ton more useful than any standard rocket launcher and is usually more useful than any lock-on other than anti-air launchers against air.

Point at smoking ESFs, receive certs. I wish I bought it to be honest. The Vortexes for the MAX are also beast if you can hit them too. As a bonus if you spam fire with ZOE active it will scare the fuck out of the enemy and usually make them disengage you.

I feel if squads actually coordinated with Lancers it would probably be more scarey then striker squads. No lock on indicators or anything just pure unadulterated laser beams murdering ESFs like AT tank shots.

We'll probably see the biggest improvement when they finish the ps4 version and backport all the optimizations the ps4 team made.

I got it, and gave it thermal for infantry hunting, and I still regret it to this day. It has less than half the damage per bullet compared to the rotary and default, the explosions radius is non-existent, it has a 25 bullet mag by default, takes 3 seconds to reload, bullets so slow you could outrun them by jogging, and massive bullet drop. You would be lucky to kill more than 2 infantry in one sweep, and you are left entirely defenseless against enemy aircraft as they can shoot you easier, and get far better DPS. All-in-all, we have a choice between default, the rotary (which every faction basically has, just under a different name and coloured slightly different), and a chaingun that might as well shoot water balloons.
Compared to the Air Hammer, which has three rounds, and needs all of them to kill a single target, I'd take it any day of the week! You'd have to be very lucky indeed to get two kills in one sweep with that!

Thinking aspects of weapons critical to certain shooting styles and for balance tweaks should be given to particular factions in broad strokes was incredibly unimaginative (if not outright lazy) and not thought out at all. They had to compromise on them anyway to keep things from being over-the-top (certain types of gun are objectively better than others in certain roles, which is why every faction now [I]has[/I] compromises), the fact that people whine about them [I]as[/I] factional things instead of balance hurts the reception of fans to balance changes (and is reponsible for killing two statistical aggregators), and they make choosing a faction less an affair of style and more an affair of guessing what you do and don't mind never getting to do. The fact that all tanks have a functionally-comparable main weapon and literally identical secondary by default, yet infantry start out with and mostly keep weird permutations on a unique schtick, is ridiculous. Average players notice average shit. The TR have the worst skill caps on their gear but the most easy-mode crap for the average F2P baby, which is what typically riles up NC and VS players.

TR have decent easy-to-control weapons (even after their many nerfs), but as Xeno said, their skill ceiling is a lot lower than the other two. NC weapons are harder to control but damn powerful when used right, while VS are I don't know. Can't really say much about them except ZOE.

[t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/506948546315946058/CA21D23CF05B1BF6EEA4F5456D43733CA9C9A8F9/[/t] also, does anyone have any good advice on a reliable way to kill a ZOE seriously. in my experience if your see it its already to late for you and up to 8 friends. if you shoot at it you die. if you try to rocket it you die. if you run you die. if you try to C4 it you die. the only way ive found to sometimes kill one is by using a conc nade and a rocket and hope the concussion lasts long enough to gun it down. even then it isnt a sure thing. i mostly will either hope it shoots someone else while i run or conc and run.

Wow, the default Lightning weapon is very fun. Why have I never used this before? I just went on a 44 man kill streak. Shapow! I've decided to play as my TR character on Mattherson for a while, since the TR and VS on Waterson have decided that NC should be their bitch (been getting constantly steamrolled this past day or so). I really want to cert up and learn to fly the Mosquito, but after that Lightning spree, I'm considering looking into that instead.
Grab Air to Air and just run sorties from the warp gate. It might not be fast on Certs or in the action all the time, but it's fun

Funny, I start playing again and bitching about NC on Mattherson, and suddenly they get their shit together and are now ripping apart both factions on a regular basis. From what I'm gathering this is caused by NC using more vehicles (less footzerg yay) and VS/TR putting half a cont worth of guys into the biolab grinders.

maybe it'd be cool if they add something else than just weapons for a MAX. Not something like a repair kit or healing thing because that's what the medics and engineers are for, but maybe some kind of flasher device to function like a short-duration flash grenade? it could be OP unless they add like a one minute reload time.

Is there any way to boost movement speed for infiltrators? I'm sick of running hundreds of metres just to catch up with some unwary fool who's running in the same direction at the same speed just to gank him.
I don't think I've seen a lot of TR use the lockdown ability on the MAX, yet it seems really good for defending bases (or I just don't notice it which is more likely)
