There is some cool lookin' junk in here, if you haven't already seen it.

Dunno how much of it is legit!
Jesus Christ, a railgun.
Always been a sucker for railguns.
NC are supposedly all about railguns/gauss weapons, I'm surprised this didn't come sooner

Well to be honest, for me the Gauss weapons never felt like they are, well, Gauss-y.
It's hard to exlpain.
NC weapons always felt like weapons using shells with too much explosives. Being all flashy and loud isn't much of an eloctromagnetic weapons trait, I think.
That's another thing that PS2 kind of needs. A resource/supply system where they have to be transported with sunderers or something, similar to PS1.
Resource Revamp is coming and will add exactly this.

Cool renders, but most of these have been in the game files for a year now.
I've been rather upset about something lately
Every time I play for more than five minutes, I seem to disconnect. And when I disconnect, it crashes my game. First it starts out by lagging really bad, then tanks start floating sideways as players walk into walls, and then I know I fell into the disconnect trap, as thirty seconds later the disconnect sign pops up. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Some things I always have wanted to see;
Deploy able self propelled arty. Strong splash but expensive to spawn, takes a bit to deploy, and fairly easy to take out if not guarded.
I still think we could use light armored weapon less troop transports that have speed.
Galaxies carrying certain vehicles again.

We had those in PS1. It was called the Flail and it made certain base assaults into a slow as shit campfest.
All it did was drive defenders inside and they would camp the doorways, and you couldn't attack a base across the forecourt as you would get hit by your own flails so you had to use the back door which was chokepointus maximus.
plus it was part of the ancient tech vehicles update which came with the caverns and BFR's... so yeah...
I'm sure there is a way to implement a suitable artillery system. I just don't think SoE is the team to do it.

There's enough shit raining from every direction, including the sky already. Do we need artillery? When people assault a base, they're inside it with the enemy. So you can't really rain it down on them there. And the battles move swiftly to the next base. Very little open ground fighting
Maybe if the lattice system became the supply route for the resource revamp I'm hearing about, with a couple points, or a single point in the middle being capturable or some such. But ehhh

Its just the sadist in me that somehow wants to be sat 700m away from an enemy sunderer chuckling to myself as I watch my kill feed.
If the game still suffers from the 'If you're not in a zerg, there is essentially no way of effectively resisting a zerg', then artillery would help with that.

I don't see how you would have a problem with numbers being a force multiplier in a massive open world combat game.

I don't know why, but the idea of driving an important sundie over the land appeals to me immensely. I'd put on some dadrock and have a cheerful expedition across chilly esamir with some escorting squadmembers, right up until the scythes arrive and photon pod us into a fine ketchup.
Its just the sadist in me that somehow wants to be sat 700m away from an enemy sunderer chuckling to myself as I watch my kill feed.
That's another thing, even though they worked on and improved render distance for other people, 700m might be a bit far. If you can't see them, you can't damage them.
Unless that's been changed. It would have to be, for Arty
I don't see how you would have a problem with numbers being a force multiplier in a massive open world combat game.
because it exacerbates problems regarding faction pop inequality, and discourages free thinking in favour of 'follow the other guy' kinda gameplay

You can already shoot things from over 700m away with the "AV" turret. Grab one of those and you can shit all over everybody's day.

It takes a very small air force with daltons to clear out sunderers, which stops just about any attack. A squad of 12 could probably grab a few and some fighters to stop most assaults.

Well, I haven't played the game in a while, but I used to play in a squad of 12, and trying to take out sunderers with daltons is nigh on impossible against a zerg
you're always going to be dealing with 5+ fighters and AA vehicles, it's just not feasible
that might have changed recently of course.
The fighters are still there, but AA can't touch you at the ceiling. You'd stand a fair chance I'd say.
Can I please join someone's group? I'll switch to any server, and faction.

Fair enough, I may give it another go then
My biggest gripe with the game is that there's still just so much spawn camping and endless stalemates going on. Will they ever realize that bio labs are an awful design as it stands?

Great design for cert farming. Just grab a NV scope and strafe in and out of the shielded doors for unlimited certs
For the love of God, no more artillery. The tanks do this job more than well enough. There are already way too many things in this game that promote sitting back and lobbing AOE spam weapons at infantry.

Buff the fuckin' Flash.
[editline]18th November 2013[/editline]
Remove its grenade launcher, fix its handling, and improve its other weapons.
SOE is nerfing snipers because they say it's kinda lame to get killed when you could never have done something to prevent it. Pretty sure they don't want to add artillery for the same reason.

It's only a nerf to hill barnacles, it's a buff to infiltrators overall, and gives you a reliable TTK at any given range.
Any good NC outfits on Mattherson? I've been hanging out with some random squads but they're pretty bad at organization. I don't want anything super serious, just people that can get shit done.
I'm open to TR, as well. Not the Vanu though. Screw the Vanu.

Same thing happens to me too, my fps is still decent but players and vehicles fly all over the place when it happens.
The only weirdness I've been experiencing since the optimization patch is an occasional hangup lasting for a second or so. The image just freezes completely for a moment, while all the action carries on around me. It's nothing major, but it has gotten me killed a few times, which I guess is a bit of a drag!
[editline]19th November 2013[/editline]
It is pretty dang uncommon though, so it's nothing to groan too much about.
I've been getting dc'd almost everytime after maybe an hour of playing ever since the OMFG
