Thank fuck. ZOE ruined every indoor fight against the VS, especially as a regular MAX. Nothing is more obnoxious than a ZOE MAX with infantry weapons gunning down my dual Fracture MAX because I missed a single shot due to their crazy strafing. They don't have enough splash damage to justify taking three time as long to kill an infantryman or a MAX compared to dual AI guns (especially the Heavy Cyclers with their sexy super-fast reloads). Nothing wrong there. ZOE is the most annoying when you're playing on foot, as they can literally chase you down while you're [I]sprinting[/I] soldier and gun you down without even having to stop and aim. Looks like the nerf makes it only slightly slower than sprint, but at least it's limited to if you're far enough you can actually take cover effectively. Also, it won't be abused to hell and back as charge 2.0 allowing a MAX to dodge certain death from C4/AP shells forever. Only half of the time.

I always wondered why the only reason I got gunned down by TR was because it was either close range, or 5 of them shooting at me. THIS EXPLAINS EVEEERYTHING.

Does this mean people on VS will stop being 3/4 MAXes and 1/4 actually useful classes? Cause if so, then maybe Nerfmas won't be as bad as it seemed.
Funny how opposed I am to the VS max nerfs even though I never play MAX at all, and they tend to fuck my day up. Anyways now I guess they'll return to normal.
I think the biggest thing is the fact that ZOE max's moved faster than infantry sprint speeds [I]while backpedaling[/I] The new ZOE will still make you move faster, but instead of being grossly faster than any infantry unit in the game you'll now move at roughly the same speed and mobility as standard infantry with the exception to sprinting (normal infantry can now sprint faster). This is much more balanced. The shit I don't like is that ZOE is now mostly useless in other fronts. Its going to keep the -30% armor, and now the damage buff is incredibly tiny and never gets better as you upgrade ZOE (10% damage buff that only applies to some weapons, and that 10% damage buff doesn't reduce the amount of shots it takes to kill except with very specific weapons). You also lose the ability to control when it comes on and off, for some arbitrary reason - the moment its activated, you are forced to have it on for 15 seconds and off for 15 seconds (I do think a cooldown was needed though, but why do I have to have it on?). Pretty much all they needed to do for ZOE was fix the movement speed and (yet again) its over nerfed to the point where ZOE pretty much just makes you move as fast as normal infantry for hardly any real gain and a huge armor downside.

Lockdown should have the highest damage outpout of any max when active, meaning good positioning means you can... lock an area down.... (I'll show myself out)

(I'll show myself out)[/QUOTE] In PS1 an anchored MAX was really powerful, especially with Bursters. Dual Cyclers was pretty good but you'd usually eat a Decimater once the enemy wised up. But you can't make the Lockdown Burster MAX a beast in PS2 without the airchavs complaining on the forums/rage quitting. But then again, nothing of value would be lost.
Also Harrssers got a nerf as did Anchor Prowlers. So now I might be able to take my AV spec'd tank into direct combat with them and win (Yes Harrassers with AV weapons were known to be able to take on tanks and win... especially lightnings.)

What is your favorite place on Auraxis to wage war on? Mine would have to be west Indar, the frontline between VS and NC. I've played there so much i know the surroundings like the back of my hand.
On any large bridge. They are always a blast to play on. Plenty of cover, room for vehicles, mostly covered from annoying rocket-pod barrages, plenty of ways to approach the battle.

What are your guys best kill streaks? My best was when I went 60-0 in a biolab with a dual mercy MAX. It definitely helps to have engi's hanging around. Also Charge because lockdown is shit and stupid and charge saved my ass from two ZOE maxes since I could run away.
I've got 1,000 SC. With the patch changes, what should I spend it on? My only SC purchase so far is the NS-7 PDW.
I haven't played PS2 in a while now. So that's why my dream last night was so weird. I was an NC heavy assault attacking some TR. I had the gauss saw, the standard one you start with. The frustrating part is that for some reason dream logic fucked my day, so the recoil was redonk high. I was shooting full magazines and not hitting a thing. Then on my last magazine with the last bullet I managed to land a head shot on some dude. After that I woke up. wtf
