It seems to me that Connery NC are always getting fucked up by Vanu outmaneuvering our forces and enveloping us, or the Republic crushing us under sheer numbers. At this point I'd switch factions, but I don't want to lose all the sweet stuff I've spent time and money getting. If I could somehow defect and get my faction specific stuff refunded, I'd be all over it though. It seems to me like Connery NC are mostly retarded at this point of time.
What the fuck time do you play at? Most of the time NC out pop both factions, some times even combined and there's no way in hell TR is out numbering NC unless you're talking about specific battles, in which case you just ran in to the TR zerg, which is pretty much all TR can do on Connery. VS only play well when the good outfits are on, because unlike NC with ADK and 666, we don't have many zerg invite everyone outfits. You're either playing super late at night when there aren't many NC children online, or you're running into battles with a small squad versus a whole platoon. The VS on Connery are fucking retarded 90% of the time, the NC on Connery are retarded all the time, but have huge pop to throw at every base and the TR of Connery can only zerg and rocket pod because low pop.

Maybe I just need to find a good outfit to play with because the, " zerg invite everyone outfits" are super fucking annoying.
I'm considering switching to Vanu or Terran, mainly because NC can never finish an alert. What's your guys' opinion on this? Do any of you NC players feel like we hardly get a slice of the cake, or am i too new to this game to form an opinion on this?
I noticed on Mathew that whenever an alert happens, the pop on TR and NC lower while VS skyrockets.
The patch notes bring dire omens of HA nerfs. LMGs can no longer be literally better at all things than every other weapon type. Resist Shield is now a glorified rave accessory. Rocket launchers are less effective as primary weapons. Only one thing can save us in a sea of destructible snowmen and Infiltrators being considered people: The game finally rewarding headshots for the classes that actually matter.
Only thing is that Vanu SMGs kill faster than the other faction's LMGs.
So do the NC SMGs. And the regular capacity TR SMG. Because that's what SMGs do.
Kinda annoyed now... I sorta "just" started certing my harasser and while I knew it was going to be getting nerfed, I didn't know it was going to be getting nerfed into the ground like this...

Harrassers were more mobile, armoured and damaging than MBTs. Was pretty ridiculous. Won't miss them.

PATCH TIME GET READY TO JINGLE YOUR BALLS https://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/index.php?threads%2Fserver-downtime-for-pu02-december-17-2013-6am-pt-1pm-cet.162621%2F#.Uq_Y5m2Vr4g.twitter
Nanite Systems has been hard at work on a new pistol. Make sure to give your enemies the gift of C4 this holiday season!
IT'S REAL [editline]17th December 2013[/editline] brb buying membership
Holy shit a non-shitty sale? well color me suprised, i though we'd never see another decent one.
I was imagining they'd be selling off SC rather than lower the prices of things.
I was imagining they'd be selling off SC rather than lower the prices of things.
They can't since that's the higher-up's decision. SC sales are across all SOE games. Therefor they decided to have their own christmas sale. What I wonder is: Now we have three different types of sales per day Category sales 50% off(like shotguns) Daily sale of one item at 99SC Daily Membership sale 1SC So what if the blackjack is on sale first because shotgun, I buy it for 350SC, the next day it's at 99SC because daily sale, the next day it's at 1SC as membership sale. How the shit do we know when we can buy stuff?

Alright, so it's safe to assume that the 99SC and 1SC ones won't conflict, however the daily category sale still worries me. [editline]17th December 2013[/editline]
Vulcan (Prowler) got nerfed to shit. Lost 40 points of damage, and max damage range was dropped from 200m to ten meters. Seriously? Half of that distance is just from the gun to the edge of the fucking Prowler. [editline]17th December 2013[/editline] Glad I never bought it on the Prowler. Halberd is now a much better choice 90% of the time.
The hell? they said they would refund certs given on Nanoweave armor because of the big change it recieved. I still got all mine but I really don't want it anymore as I'd like to experiment with other stuff now that it became worse :v: [editline]17th December 2013[/editline] Wait they actually did but I didn't get them refunded yet. [editline]17th December 2013[/editline] or did the update just not hit yet
I haven't downloaded any patch so I don't think it's out yet
I haven't downloaded any patch so I don't think it's out yet
I got a patch this morning and spent a good half hour driving around esamir before someone told me that the ACTUAL patch was not out yet.
I'm getting "LaunchPad was unable to connect. Please check the network connection or try again later. If the problem persists, contact support." This after downloading that mini patch. Are they patching servers now?
Are they patching servers now?
Yes. 1347mb update.
Very bummed that there are no Flash handling buffs, nor NC MAX buffs, and actually quite frustrated that they added scaling projectile speed to even more weapons (Enforcer, Halberd). Scaling projectile speed was an absolutely terrible mechanic that made using the Falcons a massive pain in the butt, because the projectile changing speeds as it travels makes it way harder to figure out how much to lead targets. I've been praying they'd remove that since they implemented it ~6 months ago, and now they're actually expanding it to new weapons. Pretty much every NC AV weapon suffers from it now, and even Halberd users are going to have to deal with it. Hopefully this will get the TR and VS to start complaining about it too, at least. I'm also still very skeptical about the C85-- it seems like the only thing their changes will have accomplished is making it even more niche than it already was. Othwerwise, seems like quite a good patch so far! It's nice the see battle rifles getting a buff, and very nice to see the NC's weapons (especially their 200 damage tier ones) getting a bit of love, too. Along with all the general changes to hipfiring mechanics across all factions, the general level of infantry balance should be much more friendly. And I am so dang happy about the Harasser and ZOE finally getting re-balanced. Harasser drivers should no longer be able to solo every other vehicle in the game, nor be able to out-tank a tank.

I kinda saved up to buy it for an absurdly long time, this makes me really sad..

Better start investing in your Basilisk, because now it's the replacement Vulcan.
They absolutely murdered the vulcan, though some of it might come from the resist changes seeing how they changed the shredder values to adjust for resistance. In fact, most armour piercing bullet guns seem to have their damage lowered. [editline]17th December 2013[/editline]
TR M3 Pounder Direct damage reduced from 425 to 285 Max blast damage increased from 100 to 190 Gravity dropped from 10 to 7.5 Counted the number of hairs on Higby's head. [editline]17th December 2013[/editline] Um....
All AV weapons had their damage significantly "nerfed," but except for a few very specific examples, this will not actually have an affect on how quickly they kill armor, as armor resistances were lowered too. These changes are mostly just to make AV weapons less effective at killing infantry.
Finished patching, stuck at 96% when loading into character select :(
The Vulcan was massively over-performing, though. It was doing better at both AV and AI than every other vehicle weapon in the game. The thing was versatile as all hell against every threat on the field, and capable of bursting down its primary target (other vehicles) at a rate that was, frankly, absurd. This change better exemplifies its role (and fits better with the TR faction philosophy: High sustained damage, low burst damage, close-range terror). And please don't forget that every other ES vehicle weapon saw similar changes. ES vehicle weapons are, apparently, supposed to be niche selections that are designed for excelling in certain scenarios, not to be great general-purpose things. That's what NS weaponry is for. As an NC primary player, I really can't feel too sorry the TR here, because the only thing that we have ever had that has even approached that level of power were our MAXes at release, which were nerfed into the objectively worst state they exist in today, like, ten months ago. And even after these changes, your ES vehicle weaponry will still far exceed the general usefulness of ours, which are receiving almost the same exact pass of nerfs that yours are.
Both, actually. The Vulcan was overperforming by a huge margin compared to every other vehicle secondary weapon in the game. Its KPU was as much as 3-4 times higher than the average. These changes, combined with all the other sweeping alterations made in this patch, should hopefully stabilize the effectiveness of the various weapon systems, and to make people actually think about which weapon system they would prefer to mount based on what role they are planning to fulfill, rather than making one single weapon the clear best choice.
Shit... Friend told me to verify the game files to fix the 96% loading and as soon as I clicked the button for it on Steam he said to do it on the launcher, so I quickly canceled the verify before it was even 1% and now Steam has to download the whole game again. :(

I've taken a liking to playing as one, but i tend to get my ass handed to me with the default setup, and the hacksaw will take a long while to farm.
