rocket pods being on sale is neat. Kinda want to nab them with my 520 left over SC but I don't fly too often and when I do I usually get knocked out of the sky pretty quickly. :v:
Currently both have 80 RPM and the same reload. Pounders have 4 rounds per magazine while fractures have 10. On a direct hit pounders do 425 damage and have a two second reload. Including the reload cycle, the pounders fire 56.47 rounds a minute for a DPM of 24000. Not counting reload, they have a dpm of 34000. Max splash is 75 at 0.5m out to 1 at 3m On a direct hit fractures do 315 damage and have a two second reload. Including the reload cycle, the fractures fire 68.57 rounds a minute for a 21599. Not counting reload they have a dpm of 25200. Max splash is 25 at 1m out to 1 at 3m. It is also worth mentioning that the pounders are three times as accurate as the fractures, though they do have a slightly higher bloom. At short range (where you can even get some use of the arc) or against infantry, pounders are superior. They no longer have a deadzone where you can't hit anything, and fly in a much flatter arc.
So Pounders, just like Comets are now the shit. I might actually invest in my TR max then.

I bought the second one last Christmas, and I wouldn't have dreamed of using them (they were godawful) until now. The splash was also something that got a boost this patch, where before you basically had to hit something or you weren't doing any damage. They make a very good all purpose loadout, and I've started to run my max with pounders instead of M6's in all but a few circumstances. It's far easier to put shots on target rather than just firing away. The final great point is that they chew through other maxes beyond immediate close range. I took on three at once this morning at a range of about 50-75m, and limiting exposure, I won without any assistance.

Right now a Flak 5 HA with NMG/Adrenaline can tank rocket fire that a MAX with Flak 5 can't. That said I'm almost positive you could tank [I]one[/I] Deci before.

This is without any additional armor, though I don't think anything stopped the direct rocket damage, just splash.
I have had cases where I'm sure I directly hit a MAX and he still survived, so I think if you have like flak 5(old) you will survive it.
Other folks noticing weird hit detection errors since the patch? Seems like a lot of my shots after the patch just aren't registering. I've been using my close-range bolt action, watching the round impact, and not getting any kind of hit marker, like it's just phasing right through them. off tomorrow, gonna use my membership booster to try and do a lot of snowman hunting tonight on waterson when the esamir pop. hits ~10 per faction :v: It's actually kinda fun to just be exploring the map instead of shooting up bases and the usual.
If you unlock rocket pods with SC, are they unlocked for all faction ESFs for your account, or only for that character?

Started playing Vanu and i'm honestly starting to feel more comfortable with them over NC. However, i'm tired of getting my ass handed to me by those asshole TR Max dual chaingun players, so does anybody know a good remedy for them apart from C4? (got a fairly long way before i can afford that)
Pounders are definitely the best all round TR max weapon now. With the help of two other people (a heavy and a medic) we managed to take out an NC armour column. I also got two reaver kills.

The counter is using your own resources to nullify their advantage. If C4 doesn't work for you, go HA with concussion grenades. There is no "cheap" option though, until you can afford consumable explosives you're a second-class auraxian.
I love stealing Snowman kills. A mate and I are driving around in a Harrasser looking for snowmen, when we see a 7OXS Mossie stopping, we drive over and see him lining up to kill a snowman. So we race in, steal the snowman right before he shoots, and boost away yelling "SUCKEEEEEEEEER". I'm pretty sure he was fairly annoyed.

And... It's gone. Hotfix time. TR M3 Pounder HEG adjustment. Reduced max blast damage from 190 to 125. [editline]20th December 2013[/editline] I actually think it was a good change, because the biggest problem with pounders before was not their damage, but their arc and deadzone.

Basilisks actually rape now lmao Me and my group ran 3 battle buses with just basilisks and repair/ammo modules on them and all guns manned I was going "Seriously? Basilisks?" Except when you are a tank and you see three buses roll up shooting basilisks at you, not even your pop-a-shield will save you from quick doom. Its fucking brilliant Only downside is that the changes to the basa make it harder to hit heavies and such, but still pretty easy relatively speaking when you have 6 of them shooting at you. I still want the Basilisk to have some sort of small explosive effect. It just feels like slow machinegun instead of an autocannon, you know?
