Anyone else not being able to load into any servers?
Have I mentioned how much fun the short-range BASR's are now?

I'm doing almost all of my "sniping" within 25-75m, but I don't feel handicapped at longer ranges, either. Despite only having a 4x magnification scope, I'm pretty easily able to headshot anybody I can see. Even when doing distance shooting with it, I haven't had a single headshot denied by its hard cap of 200m, but I'm not doing much distance shooting. Being in the thick of the action is much more rewarding than sitting back on the hill.
This thing has quickly become my highest scoring weapon. It's a proper lil' monster, but I really wouldn't be surprised to see then knock 50m or so off its headshot range. While having no scope sway and a fast bolt action makes it fun and competitive in close range, a 200m headshot limit is no real limitation to this thing's potential, which makes me see no reason to equip the longer ranged rifle. I already have the third-tier rifle, but I'd pick this one over it in almost every situation, just because it's so much more versatile.

I simply can't get past the start up loading screen
just installed this on a computer that can actually run it, i was playing at a solid 9-15fps before
it actually feels like a game now

Make sure you run fullscreen and don't alt-tab out while loading.
Sometimes it takes a long time for my game to load after an update, I just read the book I have sitting on my desk. :v:

My Vanu infiltrator now always use the ghost with ironsight, it's brutal.
Oh and I take back every fucking negative thought I have ever had about the T7 chaingun. IT IS A GOD AMONG MERE LIGHT MACHINEGUNS. It is by far the most accurate LMG in the game, I slaughter people far outside any effective range, and oh god the clearing potential, I snuck up on a cultist sundered and mowed down(literally like a fucking lawn mower) TONS OF INFANTRY.
SO MANY CERTS
Commissar Cap
Composite Armor
Chaingun
Striker
Battle Flash
I am TR incarnate
[sp]I own none of these[/sp]
Got a question regarding these two belly guns on the Liberator:
Will the C150 Dalton (AT) be able to kill infantry more easily than the L105 Zepher (AI) because of it's increased damage?
Zepher is better if your gunner isn't usually accurate but it seems most people I play with are competent enough to use the dalton effectively.
Both of them are great at both roles, dalton is slightly better at AV and zepher is slightly better at taking out infantry since you can spread out the damage and cover a larger area. If you are hitting a large mass of infantry the zepher will shine, but against single targets I'd go dalton.
Shredder all the way. Ratatatatatatatatata

Too bad over half the gunners I get can't aim with it. No joke, at times I have stayed perfectly still in the air, just for them to STILL miss stationary infantry and vehicles.
I love the shredder. A shame nobody can use it.

The slow bullet velocity definitely makes it a trick, but I love gunning for shredder libs. So satisfyin'.
Shredder was way better back in beta when it had 500 rounds per magazine and a longer effective range.
Liberators would rip the shit out of ESFs attacking it if it had a good Shredder gunner.
Shredder shooting bullets and having big magazines should make it better reliable DPS from the stratosphere than the bigass cannons, too bad it's got crazy falloff
Leading the XPIV platoon right now on some massive offensive operations in Connery.
Feels gooood.
Time to buy ALL the lumifibers
Blarg. Might pick up Flash lumifiber.
Oh man that was an awesome experience commanding a platoon for the first time.
I led an XPIV, TR platoon during one of the alerts, we managed to shut-out the Vanu on the Dome domination alert.

I'm mainly looking to build my liberator as an anti-infantry gunship, but i tried gunning for a guy with a dalton and it went really well.
My only question, though, is whether or not they're both equally effective as range.
Like, is the Dalton capable of sniping better than the Zepher or can they both be shot at the same range with same rate of effectiveness against their respective targets?
AFAIK they have the exact same effective range.
Anyways I hate how the lumifibers are faction-specific. I don't wanna buy them all for both my TR and VS so I need to decide which ones I really want.

Shredders are still amazing, especially since its hard to figure out where the fire is coming from when you are on the ground
Problem is you NEED zoom optics unlocked for it, you can't fire and forget like you can with dalton, and you need someone who doesn't suck at gunning with it and can actually hit targets.
Have all of that and you'll likely dominate with a shredder build on a lib over dalton/zephyr.

I just spent well over one hour piloting/gunning for a well upgraded liberator, and even though the shredder definitely has it's perks, i think the Dalton is a lot more useful in most situations.
When you've got a liberator with a thermal Dalton, your aircraft is pretty much like a stationary AC130 capable of shooting at anything around itself below, whereas the Shredder feels like it's too much effort to use.
However, with the Shredder, you've got a weapon that's fairly difficult to aim which, admittedly, will kill infantry faster than the Dalton and possibly some vehicles.
Not to mention that in order to utilize a Shredder to the max, you'll have to get fairly close in (200 ALT, assuming you have a fairly decent gunner), whereas you can snipe from a distance with the Dalton.
These are just my two cents, my opinion may be biased and if so, feel free to correct me.
If anybody was sitting there wondering to themselves, "should I unlock the Jackhammer?"
The answer is: Yes.
It doesn't suffer from the shotgun-itis that any of the other shotguns in this game do. You won't be sniping anybody with the thing, but it still has a surprising amount of range, and its damage output is no joke either. It's a shotgun the way that shotguns should be in this game. It's actually useful for general combat purposes! Super fun. Real fun. Lots of good fun.
All of the faction specific heavy weapons are heavily underrated imo
Ye, if they go on sale I'm prolly gonna pick up the MCG and Lasher, too.
I don't know who at SOE or whatever designed biolabs but they deserve to be fired, honestly.
I think they're underrated because every gun just shoots bullets to kill things, with little room for neat features. There's nothing overly cool or useful about any of them. The lasher is the coolest of the three because it does something unique, albeit somewhat lame. If they intend to keep adding weaponry to the game, they'll have to start adding interesting effects and features that can compete with the feature of killing people incredibly fast.
Pretty new to the game - is C4 worth getting? As far as I can tell it's kinda meh. Half a tanks health for a lot of inf resources, and the second upgrade is 500 more?
