Planetside 2 V6 - VS capped Indar? It's more likely than you think

Look at the size of the sodding thing (look at the ladder on the left for reference), if this does come out, it probably will cost an astronomical amount of resources and be a giant target.
it looks too cool to ever be released.
Oh man, faction-specific heavy tanks sounds boss.
Imagine what the TR and VS would get...

How's the optimization today?
I wasn't aware there were any optimizations today, game feels as usual.

I Imagine such a system for "Super heavy" vehicles.
Anything larger than a sundie would require the use of a special terminal, every person who wants to drive said vehicle must access the terminal and pay their share of the resource cost, the Superheavy is then constructed and all the donors get teleported in. You'd use a lobby like system to co-ordinate payments with everyone in a quad defaulting into the same lobby.
These terminals would only be available in select places, like the warpgate or Tech plants. as opposed to MBT's that can get pulled from anywhere a lightning can if you had tech plant capabilities.

Pretty much. I hope to god that if they do make this, that they make it immune to C4, because then every light assault with C4 will be flying around it and will blow it up in approx 5 milliseconds.

NS heavy tank.
Showed up for a split second in this video
Will never be seen in game

At least C4 Resistant... so ikt takes more than a heavy two bricks and a dumbfire to break it.

Especially since the game engine doesn't support treads with separate collision physics, which is why the lightning (a tank that is supposed to have this) doesn't have it. Well, it does support it, but its disabled for performance reasons (not sure why they can't just have this show up all client side though).
Which means if it is ever in game it would get stuck everywhere being basically a large rectangle scooting on the ground.
see this thing?

All it's doing now is sit in a weird spot at tech plants, with no use whatsoever, just as some decorative thing which would have been a fucking awesome replacement for the phalnax turrets.
They could throw them on the towers around warpgates. Make them automated, even.
That video was also very impressive.

I was trying to find that video earlier to post so glad someone found it. Would not be surprised if they did add the tank to the big bases but it will just sit there in a corner somewhere.

If they ever add it to the game it'd be kinda cool if more and more parts of it started showing up in tech plants as it got closer to release. Like, one day the treads replace the big gun in a techplant, then a couple of weeks later the chassis showed up in a different tech plant somewhere else or something.
Reminds me of that closed off BFR thing in that one facility on Indar.

Exactly what I was thinking. I wish they would stop showing off vehicles until closer to them actually being implemented. It took like 6 months for the Harasser to get put in and that dealt with balancing its speed and physics and all that.
The faction specific transports and a fucking TANK? I would be surprised if the tank makes it in within the next 1-2 years.
I'm fine with them showing off weapons and the new continent stuff - TANGIBLE goals that we can reasonably expect within 2-3 months (and even that is optimistic) Not concept art that we have no real expectation of seeing for an enormous amount of time.
That make sense? Show off stuff you can actually explain and build some hype for, not some hopefully-some-sunny-day prototype that may not even look like the picture in a year or two.
Commanded a TR Platoon on Connery, and somehow managed to wreck two 666th Zerg Platoons, and take over 75% of the NC Territory on Indar.
Oh, and the leaders for my squads was one drunk British guy, a guy with a thick Russian Accent, and a German.
This is what happens when I'm not on to go on a shotgun massacre, plus hunting future crew is way more fun. At least until they use their fallback strategy (psst, they all pull max suits).
The TR on Connery were making a grab for Allatum and ended up building a fucking massive super-zerg in the process. They ended up steamrolling down to TI Alloys and eventually the crown. Upon their arrival they had about 85% of the regional population yet for some reason they just sat at the bottom of the hill and shelled the tower. No Sundies went down to C and no tanks made any push up the road.
We (The VS) eventually got reinforcements and pushed the TR back and turned the zerg on them. The TR had one of of the biggest assaults I had seen in a long time and they screwed the pooch so much that they failed to take the base in the most hilarious display of utter incompetence I had seen yet.
My dad who plays TR was in that zerg and I could hear him on the other side of the room saying things like "What the fuck is this shit? What is my team even doing?"
Whats your dad's name in game? I was commanding roughly 40 or so people, and our entire fight was in the north against the NC. We were considering turning our guns to the south towards the Crown with the joke of "reclaiming the holy land" but we never got around to it. Not sure if the guy I put in command "FakeBritishGuy" took to the ground.

That's odd since we barely had one platoon operating today.
That's odd since we barely had one platoon operating today.
What. We had been fighting like two platoons of guys. One of the 666th, and one nicknamed the 937th or something along those lines :v:
937th is a different outfit.
Though honestly I wouldn't be surprised if you still kicked our asses if we had 2 platoons. The quality of our SLs has really gone downhill lately.
Oh lordy, free look works for hornet A2G missiles.
I miss the Liberator's main gun being mounted on a swivel so it could be aimed with freelock. It was pretty awesome being able to gun down dumb Scythes that flew in front of my lib back in beta.
Nowadays it'd be OP as fuck with that ridiculous Tankbuster gun, but it'd be great for the standard Vektor.
The Vektor could use something, because it seems so sad compared to the Gibulon-5000 tankbuster.
If you have patience and aim, Vektor can actually wreck stuff from a distance
I apologize for the end of the video this guy made, but it does show off the freelook capabilities pretty well in the beginning

Yeah but why wreck stuff over long distances when you use your rapid fire murder-machine-3000 autocannon to instagib tanks?
