So this happened while I was checking out the light bridges near Tumas...
I have never found a more fitting time to post this gif: Also, that was probably some leftover trigger from when they were testing it with different times-of-day.
Is he a hacker or did he just get really lucky during a big stalemate?
Hacking hard. People were bitching about him in platoon chat and all. He hit me while I was invisible on a flash in the air. Some NC guy was teamkilling him repeatedly, doing gods work.
So I got a bit of time in with the hornets, while alone they do deal less damage than a bombing run with pods, the thing is that they allow you to fire your nose gun while they're on approach. Damage and your own safety can vary based on the distance you start the run, further out you get more nose gun time but spend more time aligned to the target, you'll also lose the hornet damage if you have to abort. Extremely close in you get no nose gun time but the hit and run damage of hornets is higher than pods in the short period of time. While they don't have the sustained fire power of pods the range and much better accuracy definitely gives them a place.
Holy shit, the entirely of TR on Briggs got pissed off yesterday during an alert. We were winning, 5 minutes left on the clock, we get ready for a MAX crash to prevent the NC from doing a final cap, just as we leave the spawn room, everyone on TR got disconnected, and could not rejoin in time for the alert certs. Only like 1 outfit on NC got disconnected and everyone else was fine and dandy. You can imagine the fury that emanated from TR that day.

What the fuck, If that's true then I refuse to believe it was an accident.
Seriously? What the fuck, If that's true then I refuse to believe it was an accident.
Non of us did either. We all sent SOE masses of reports about it, but other than that there isn't much else we can do.
Is new Amerish released or only available on Test servers?

are hornet missiles worth it or should i stick with breaker?
I wouldn't go for hornets. I can't see any situation where you'd want them over rocket pods, but I haven't used them in live combat though.

Double XP to, so many certs were to be had.
Lost an alert by about 10 seconds today. Was disappointed. Then apparently command got angry at us, saying we had lost us the alert by not feeding ourselves into what had become a meat grinder. There were already 2 full platoons fighting there, and they still only had 25% of the population there.
are hornet missiles worth it or should i stick with breaker?
A very interesting question. originally from playing around with them in the VR Training room and looking at the stats I thought they was shit but being a full time TR pilot I decided the right thing to do is to buy them and test them out as weapons always seem different in actual combat. Being a pilot is what I do basically all the time in this game and I am no guy that can turn and kill you the second you fire in my direction but I will say I am a force to be reckoned with in the sky. After getting the new Hornet missiles and using them my impression of them has changed dramatically what I thought to be a crap weapon from using them in the vr training room I now see as a good weapon to use in combat. They require you to use a different play style but are worth the change as you now become much more effective in different combat situations. For starters with rocket pods you can normally take out 2 main battle tanks before having to go back for more ammo but with Hornets if you use your nose cannon whilst the hornets are reloading or travelling you can kill 4 main battle tanks doubling the kill count before going home for ammo. On average you can kill 2 main battle tanks in about 38 - 50 seconds and with hornets+nose cannon you can kill 2 in 30 - 45 seconds. Take note you will have to be landing every missile and nose cannon bullet. The difference in play style is that you will have to get use to firing from further away and landing nose cannon shots as you travel to your target. You also have to make sure you time your firing and reloads right otherwise you will wast time. By using the hornets and being skilled at it you can take out Libs and Gals from a safer distance and even enemy esf's giving you an edge in aerial combat that you don't have with rocket pods. So it is quite a change to get used to and doesn't seem that great in theory but in practice they are very good if you are skilled enough to land all of your missiles and nose cannon shots. don't be put off by stats and the vr room with a couple of hours practice you will see why they are worth the swap.
Here is a recording of the D/C aftermath. It seems like some Vanu and NC got D/C'd, but not many compared to the entire sodding TR getting D/C'd.

Im guessing these are late, even if they are they still look amazing

NOW DAMMIT
Did a video tour of Kwahtee South Pass. The thing that worries me about this base is that a) the point is right next to the garage and b) in order to get to the point from the spawn room, defenders have to go through the garage. This means the best way to attack is just by rushing the garage with a battle sundy or two. Once the garage is locked down it's pretty much GG, meaning the other entrances and the rest of the base is pretty much wasted space. EDIT: And the new Ascent.
You also hear them say that TR were the most affected, and it makes sense that the population would be in the warpgates as the alert ended so they are probably returning to Indar.
The Amerish world server probably crashed, so naturally the winning faction was the most affected, because they likely were the only faction with a significant number left after the other 2 factions realized they lost. It's so unlikely that some guy has figured out the secret to specifically disconnecting an entire faction.
It's so unlikely that some guy has figured out the secret to specifically disconnecting an entire faction.
Well back in beta somebody did figure out that placing C4 on a deployed Sunderer in a certain way and detonating it would instantly disconnect everybody in that region, so I wouldn't be surprised. Though it is most likely just a server crash.
Bolt rifles, take a guess what that means
These better be anti-tank rifles and not more damn sniper rifles
Well back in beta somebody did figure out that placing C4 on a deployed Sunderer in a certain way and detonating it would instantly disconnect everybody in that region, so I wouldn't be surprised. The guy is posting like someone did it to only the TR and I'd LOVE to know the exploit that targets only one single faction.
