Planetside 2 V6 - VS capped Indar? It's more likely than you think
Well that's different, because it's everyone. The guy is posting like someone did it to only the TR and I'd LOVE to know the exploit that targets only one single faction.
I didn't mean that someone did it to ONLY the TR, just that it affected mostly the TR. It could have been that we have most of our platoons converging on a single location and it could have kicked everyone in a specific area, other than that I don't know.
I came upon three engineers, 2 vanu 1 nc, fighting each other at long range with av turrets. They couldn't shoot at each other because they could hide behind the massive turret, and I saw the lone NC constantly hopping on and off his turret and redeploying it so he never died.
We've reached the point of maximum absurdity with mana av turrets.
The things are impossible to hit anything small, since the pointer is so dam touchy, but could just be the dpi on my mouse, duno.
EDIT:
Well I mean that if something is just before the end of draw distance; trying to move the pointer seems to be a but jumpy and hard to keep in a tiny spot.
These better be anti-tank rifles and not more damn sniper rifles
I really hope they aren't anti-tank rifles, OR bolt action rifles for that matter (although the NC one looks pretty bolt actiony)
Because if they are Anti-tank Rifles it will probably take half your inventory of ammo to kill even a lightening. And at that point, all they are are just REALLY powerful BA rifles because any sensible infiltrator will use them on infantry anyways because you will get more out of each bullet that way.
Not to mention how frustrating it would be for tank users to then have to contest with hoards of cloaking tank hunters 500m+ away from a hilltop.
I don't believe the infiltrator should get an anti-armor capability as their primary weapon.
I personally hope they are some unique twist on the semi-auto snipers or scout rifles because I have really been enjoying that style of play with my infiltrator as of late.
Also, the VS V10 is by far one of the easiest weapons to use in the game. Soon as anyone stands still or even pauses they will die.
Oh yeah, and I finally reached 10k certs on my TR character this weekend.

They can be twitchy, but they're basically perfectly accurate. I pop snipers with the Mana AV turret.
There are new bolt actions upcoming for the infiltrator update, so it's probably those.
We really don't need more bolt actions.
You guys too got DC'd?
Does anyone have any tips on fighting with aircraft?
I'm pretty poor at it - Using an Xbox controller make it easier to fly but using a mouse makes it easier to actually hold an aim on anything.
I always seem to get shot out the sky in a matter of seconds, even if I'm only coming out of the warpgate.
I know we have VR but there are no flying targets to shoot at so that's kinda useless.

Did they remove the distance stuff for Infiltrators now?
You guys too got DC'd?
Yeah.

Nope.
My life is now complete

Jezus fuck I managed to get over 200 certs within an hour today. Shit was crazy (obviously with help of the double XP weekend and a 50% boost)
Extended mag or laser sight on T7 Mini chaingun?
Extended mag or laser sight on T7 Mini chaingun?
Take the mag. If you can controll bursts the minigun has a pretty great accuracy.
[editline]20th January 2014[/editline]
This double xp weekend sure was fruitfull. Got more than 1000 certs.
Currently 60 away from buying Skyguard.
Extended mag or laser sight on T7 Mini chaingun?
Extended mag all the way. You're crazy if you aren't ADSing on the MCG, it's got a huge COF bloom when hipfiring. Turns into a laser the instant you ADS.

I was so blown away the first time i ADS'd it the other day on trial.

I had a problem comprehending this sentence for quite a while :v:
The anger, the pure anger. I sat through a 2 hour gruel of stutter and lag. To sit through the alert.
2 minutes from the end of it. The game crashes, and I log back in after the alert. And I get nothing. Absolutely fuck all.
I've been having tons of lag, it's really frustrating.
TR, what should I spend my first 1000 certs?
TR, what should I spend my first 1000 certs?
Vehicle Stealth 5 for your flash. :V
Nah, it's pretty hard to go wrong with the Mini-Chaingun I'd think... You monster. Otherwise something snazzy for a vehicle, rocketpods are a good choice if you're into ESF'in. Just remember, you can try before you buy, so do so!
TR, what should I spend my first 1000 certs?
Depends on what you play as most.
Infiltrator: NS-7 or the RAMS .50M
Light Assault: Jaguar + jumpjet upgrades
Medic: Medigun upgrades, then SABR-13
Engineer: Glue gun upgrades, then MANA AV turret
Heavy Assault: Mini chaingun
MAX: Flak armor, Second Pounder and second Chaingun.
Tank: Prowler AP turret + Anchored Mode
Airchav: Rocket pods
Guess who got an awesome beast of a new PC and can (hopefully) crank PS2 on Ultra having previously played on very low. THIIIIS GUUUUY
Overall I'd recommend certing into your Medic and Engineer tools first, they make huge amounts of XP in a big fight.
Also put some certs into your Engineer ammo box so it last longer, so you can dump it next to some allies then run off to kill some smurfs and barneys.

Well I already got a NS-7 (I don't really like it that much, are the TR SMGs really worse than it?), a second pounder and a mutilator and a Jaguar.
I still have lockdown 2, heard it's worth using at rank 3 or 4, I sometimes use ESFs but it's only for the sake of using resources, can't hit anything with the nosegun.
I'm leaning towards a MANA AV turret, not sure.

I already have a maxed medic tool, engineer tool at rank 5.
I generally drop ammo boxes like it's candy.
EDIT: I just realised how bad my wording is.
This is the first time I have 1000 certs in my cert wallet :v:
What we recommend depends a lot on what you already have and what you like to do.
If you've got all the stuff you want for the ways you play, buy some stuff for new play styles. Think about the times when you say "damn I wish I had that thing unlocked for this" and get those things.
I do recommend the AV turret. It's a pile of horseshit that has no right to be in this game as is, so abuse the hell out of it until it's fixed.

I absolutely love the AV turret. I've already taken down a couple of vehicles and sniped sunderers. God damn feels good to steer the rocket into the back of the vehicles.

I want it so I can do this:

Though at the time of this video, it was bugged and doing ridiculous damage, one-shotting aircraft, etc. Presently it takes 2 hits to destroy an aircraft but I still want to do it because it's fun. I wish there was a wire-guided shoulder launcher for the heavy. Not like the Phoenix though, I'd prefer something like this over the phoenix any day since the phoenix has terrible velocity and abysmal range.
Maybe some kind of ability which adds shoulder or back mounted rockets would be fun. it'd take up the slot your special shield is in right now.
The missiles would fly high up and then down to the ground you were aiming at after holding the skill button for a few seconds, after which they would cause a small area of effect barrage.

Oh they're using it like some people use the SRAW in BF4. I've been getting really good at that. I would love to have a wire-guided shoulder-launched missile. Phoenix was a big disappointment imo.

Exactly what I was thinking of.
