ESF aren't really sturdy to begin with. With all the AA buffs its hard to stay in the skies without getting shot down without warning.
You can't get shot down if they can't target you. The higher you fly the more exposure you have to both fire and getting spotted Biggest mistake most pilots do is they fly at high altitude which makes them a perfect target to ground AA. I fly at almost ground level most of the time, others ESF don't see you because they're too high up, and ground units, assuming they actually see you coming, have a too small window of opportunity to actually shoot you down. If you don't give the enemy the opportunity to shoot you down they won't, instead of announcing your pass by moving through an open field, pop from behind a hill, do some damage and use the terrain to get away You have to treat ESF like an hybrid between a flash and a lighting instead of like an mbt
Sorry if it's late, haven't been here for months. But it's a damn great video with a damn nice soundtrack
Is it just me or do all the NC soldiers sound about 17? They all sound like that plucky kid in war films who die near the middle to throw the main character into an emotional crisis.

TR sounds like teenagers that got drafted into service.
So I went to the SOE forums(don't kill me), there were tons of people crying about light assault being underpowered, yet I've rarely performed this well as I can with LA. I don't understand what people are doing. I just flank or jump up on top of buildings and suddenly people think I'm invisible, thier loss when I dropp C4 and bullets on their heads. I just took down a max-squad with healer, engie and all just by dropping C4 and laughing like a proper maniac.
I agree with you for the most part. LA is a crazy flanking machine when used right. But recently I've been feeling like there is no 'good' TR carbine. The AMC is all right, but I've used that to death (have auraxium medal) + 30 ribbons or so. And other than that, pretty much every single carbine feels nearly identical. The NS-11c doesn't really make up that gap for me either. The SMGs are essentially just faster firing version on the same theme as carbines, with greater control issues and the shotguns do not have a viable mid range option atm. I just feel like the LA could use a weapon that really makes it interesting and fun to play. I for one, would LOVE a faction specific, or NS made Light Battle Rifle. A weapon that fires quite a bit faster (like a Rof of 400-430 rpm or so) than it's heavier DMR-like brothers and has a lot less recoil as well. Maybe make it kill in 5 body shots up close and have a mag size of 15-20 or something. And semi auto only obviously. Something that really feels unique and fun to use, capable at mid ranges and still fairly easy to use at close range. The current Battle Rifles still fire way too slowly for my tastes, and I feel like this would really spice up the LA class for me. I mean I personally don't think something like this would be that OP, considering that semi auto weapons are inherently harder to use than full autos.
I heard that they nerfed the "carv", is this referring to the "T9 Carv" for heavy? If so then what did they nerf? It does feel noticably weaker but that might just be placebo or a bad day
Welp time to post another humorous video of outfit shenanigans:
Welp time to post another humorous video of outfit shenanigans:
You can actually pick up sunderers with a High G 3 galaxy, my outfit nearly got one up to scarred mesa but a NC lib rammed it. Pretty ineffective since it takes like half an hour to get 300 meters up, with the constant risk of falling off.
CLEAN YOUR FUCKING MONITOR
They're too busy buffing NC and VS while nerfing TR for no fucking reason.
My aim was to reach 800 certs today as I am saving but I reached 1100. I am proud of myself.
I logged on to see a scythe inside Indar TR Warpgate. [t]http://i36.tinypic.com/2vtej9g.jpg[/t]
Sorry if it's late, haven't been here for months. But it's a damn great video with a damn nice soundtrack
I have a question to all who watched this video. How do you do the powerful hovering he's often doing? In dogfights he just starts hovering and you can see his vertical thrust is insane, he also jumps side to side by rolling to the sides then thrusting off. I can't even come close to that power in a mozzie, he claims to be using the racer airframe. [editline]21st April 2013[/editline] Also curious, have they done anything to the A2A missiles? I used to see them all the time, now I haven't seen them at all in the two days I've been playing.
Because for some reason all the pilots in PS2 decided using A2A missiles made you ungentlemanly/cheap and proceed to crash/log out while making fun/looking down on you.
Because for some reason all the pilots in PS2 decided using A2A missiles made you ungentlemanly/cheap and proceed to crash/log out while making fun/looking down on you.
No, people stopped using A2A missiles after somebody discovered evading them is as easy as holding down roll right. And half of the dedicated A2A pilots who weren't liberator escorts started running afterburners chase down aircraft.
oh btw, tank mines don't work anymore, not for me or my friend. They don't detonate when an enemy drive over them/you drop them on them. You can detonate them by shooting the mines, when they're above them, but that is pretty hard to do in the middle of combat.

There's an Elvis impersonator in prox chat. This is literally the best thing ever.
I just feel like the LA could use a weapon that really makes it interesting and fun to play.
They're planning to eventually allow LAs to dual wield... I don't know if that means they can do it with carbines and SMGs or pistols only, or even if it'll be useful.
C4 is a weapon that makes LA fun to play, if uninteresting. You can singlehandedly stop most attacks by floating around knocking out Sunderers.
The akimbo doesn't sound like it'd help at all, even in clutch situations. Maybe it'd be good for the NC since there's talk about a shotgun pistol, but I have this worry that it'd turn into a situation like the Ranger shotguns from MW.
They're planning to eventually allow LAs to dual wield... I don't know if that means they can do it with carbines and SMGs or pistols only, or even if it'll be useful.
I had an idea where they could use ARs at the cost of 100 shield hitpoints. It would probably give them too much long range flexibility though. They're just so under-used now since they're restricted to Medic.
So after installing this on Steam, I play it for about an hour and a half, then for no reason it freezes my entire computer forcing me to restart. Then after having Steam check the game cache, I was missing 1.4 GB even though it worked fine. I play it after downloading that and checking the files in the launcher (which made the launcher crash) it worked for about 5 minutes until I died, which froze the game on a blank screen. Now, when I try to run the launchpad as admin it crashes the file window. What the hell is going on?
Don't use steam to verify the cache
Don't use steam to verify the cache
Should I just uninstall and use the non-steam version? That's what it seems like I should do.
Should I just uninstall and use the non-steam version? That's what it seems like I should do.
Just run via the launcher in the steam directory and use the validate assets thing.
