They've updated the roadmap for the inf update. NS smg confirmed and same with Xbows. Also the faction snipers are different. TR: fully automatic, medium damage, long-range rifle with accurate burst firemode NC: Gauss powered railgun which can switch between firing a single high damage projectile or multiple mini-flechettes on the fly. VS: semi-automatic sniper rifle with a charged shot doing bolt action damage. This weapons uses heat displacement mechanics instead of standard ammo Dat VS sounds amazing, its a good day to be purple. Railgun is cool too I guess
Combining a semi auto and bolt action sniper rifle is intriguing, unfortunately I can't shake the feeling that most VS will wine about getting another charge up mechanic.
i hope the tr one is like a really beefy auto scout rifle
I hope it doesn't suck for once, but who am I kidding, it's TR so of course it will :v:
NC: Gauss powered railgun
Wait what? It's one or the other, it can't be both.
Waterson NC is amazing at alerts. For one hour and fourty five minutes they crush the opposition, getting 48% of the land or 5/7 bases even with even pop then manage to lose half their gains in the last fifteen minutes

NC will probably have a brutal sound on their gun, we'll see how the TR one turns out. [editline]1st February 2014[/editline]
All Flashlight attachments will now help with detection of cloaked enemies
HAHAHAHHAAA Gonna have an infiltrator hunter setup on my LA with a shotgun with a flashlight and NV scope.
NC: Gauss powered railgun which can switch between firing a single high damage projectile or multiple mini-flechettes on the fly
Of course they found a way to make an NC sniper rifle also be a fucking shotgun. EDIT:
All Flashlight attachments will now help with detection of cloaked enemies
About goddamn time.
To be fair, if you can hipfire the NC one like a shotgun that might be fucking incredible. Imagine having both a semi-auto shotgun and a bolt-action in one gun!
Oh don't get me wrong, I love the idea as long as it's not as ridiculous as Shotgun Infils were.
Wait. So they finally put galaxy AMS back in? Took a damn long time for them to realize their mistake.
And now forums are up in arms about how broken it is to hover at max altitude and dropping squad members.
can't you just fly up to it and rape it with an ESF or liberator and get a load of free experience?

A fully equipped battle galaxy is a bitch to fight. Not to mention 5 of them(yeah they do clump up). I actually tested some stuff with some KOTV guys if you could get players up on top of the galaxy, it worked. So you could station a bunch of G2A heavies up there too.
Wait. So they finally put galaxy AMS back in? It was broken as fuck and removing it was one of the smartest decisions they made.
You can kill Galaxy's pretty quickly with other planes, yes. From the ground, there isn't anything accurate enough to shoot the sky ceiling except very dedicated tanks parked to face vertically. Fucking stupid pubs always bailing when they hear BEEP BEEP BEEP in a lib. Fuck off you stupid drongo pubs!
My favourite death recently has been letting a pub jump in my vanguard while I wait for a mate to catch up. AP + Halberd combo, tank killer. Come up against some 2/2 prowler that I caught off guard. Easy kill, until I notice my gunner running away and shooting at the prowler with his MG. He's a fucking HA and he decided that the MG was the best choice of weapon between the halberd and his rocket launcher.

Since the only way onto a pad was by air, keeping that galaxy alive was crucial. There were constantly people pouring into the biolab getting mowed down (even more than they do now), and constantly rockets streaming out, trying to destroy the Galaxy that was being repaired by like 6 engineers. Now biolabs are basically just unstoppable zerg-fests with easy access teleporters and external bases you can't get to due to jump pads and vehicle spawns being camped by attacking forces.

Joined a random squad today since my outfit platoons were disbanded and found the whole squad playing as dual burster maxes standing on top of a galaxy, another galaxy was hovering directly above dropping them onto the galaxy they're currently standing on. It was like a hovering artillery platform of death.

I love my reaver, was running rotary and coyote to chase down mossies and liberators all day, hate the southwest side of indar though, gotta fly near the top of the skybox to not get targeted by AA.
Is NC's Cyclone worth the 1000 certs?
Is NC's Cyclone worth the 1000 certs?
Play with it in vr training, I personally love the cyclone, but most prefer the blitz with advanced laser sight.
Is the engineer AV turret still generally considered powerrful? I'm considering dumping 20 hours worth of certs into it.

Because if so, you're a bloody wanker and should go to hell

Railgun is cool too I guess
I can see the TR new ESSR being.... interesting to use. It all really depends on how fast it fires in full auto and just exactly what they consider 'medium' damage to be. My take on it is it will do 167-200 damage to about 50-75m like the HSR and scout rifle, and will only have a 2 shot burst. So essentially, it will be a SABR-13 for the Infiltrator with perhaps a higher muzzle velocity and full auto+ burst instead of Burst+Semi. I think I could live with something like that. The NC shotgun really sounds more like you're swapping a shotgun between firing slug and firing buckshot, which could also be really neat. Although I'm betting that the ROF will make the gun pretty hard to use in closer ranges. So in effect it's a medium range shotgun perhaps. If it is, I will be quite happy with that as it is something I have asked for for a very long time. The VS gun is only very minorly appealing to me. Timing the charge and breathing seems like it could be problematic, and it eliminates the one thing I really like about VS snipers: You don't have to spend time calculating for bullet drop so each shot is very quick and allows you to move on very efficiently. The Xbows seem quaint, but if they are good enough I may pick one up if it's quick enough.
Was this on waterson? Because if so, you're a bloody wanker and should go to hell
Fortunately for you, I am on connery
Is the engineer AV turret still generally considered powerrful? I'm considering dumping 20 hours worth of certs into it.
It's still stupidly useful, yes. If a friend joins you you can pretty much shut down any attack by going to a nearby mountain/base and sniping every vehicle. Even alone you can usually get the Sunderers.
