Was playing glorious NC and was defending a base when a whole caravan of sunderers came rolling through taking potshots at people inside the base.

Sunderers make me think of big caterpillars.
This gentlemen, is the herd's way of defending itself. By moving together in a large formation, they deter potential predators.
Wow, I love it when rands actually listen to you.
I was squad leading a bunch of rands that followed orders to the letter. If I said redeploy, they would redeploy within the minute and so on. We were able to attack, and defend against double our population thanks to this, and no one complained or questioned the orders.
Most of them were probably in outfits, so they knew to listen if they wanted to get anything done.

Yeah probably. But at least they weren't the usual pubby 'lemmings' that clog up open platoons.
It's still stupidly useful, yes. If a friend joins you you can pretty much shut down any attack by going to a nearby mountain/base and sniping every vehicle. Even alone you can usually get the Sunderers.
Yeah, this is where 22 hours worth of certs have gone

Its because they got a huge chunk of money incoming from the new playerbase wave that Day[9] added when he livestreamed PS2.
That includes me picking up the game again and actually paying for stuff.

Actually no.
The EverQuest Next Landmark Alpha launched this Friday

And the people in that alpha crashed their servers. And Everquest 1 and 2's servers.
Stopped playing just before the update that made the ESFs fun again, new weapons and etc. What besides that has been changed/gonna change soon?
So they apparent fix for people not getting their passive certs is to break the membership completely, everybody is now level Copper and has 0 SC.
Heard you guys like BFRs, so have some RBFRs

I'm so confused.
Is that another games model ported into PS2?
it is a model of everquest next I believe (which runs on the same engine)
So i have a terrible problem with aiming with fighters in this game, specially in A2A combat
any tips from any of you godlike br100 pilots?
Anything besides the "lead your target" tip?
Is it simply practice and muscle memory or is there any tricks to it?

Every time I try to fly I get my ass handed to me, so I wouldn't know. :P
Tips are appreciated. I have the dog fighting chassis.
A lot of it is getting used to where you need to aim. It really is a lot of leading involved. Like, you'll be aiming nowhere near them unless you're hovering around each other in a hover fight.

The problem isn't the leading as much as it is "bringing the aircraft's sights there"
The mouse feels horribly irresponsive for accurate adjustments, whenever i try to correct my aim the aircraft either does not move or move a lot and i end up missing.
So here comes my question, is there a trick to solve that or is it just my lack of practice?
Honestly just practice. Bring a buddy with you as a wingman and find small fights. You could also try practicing dogfighting with a buddy in VR to get the leading down.
Aircraft can't turn on a pinch, so you really have to get used to the acceleration and the deceleration that follows. And if you can, use A/D to aim instead of rolling your aircraft. That's about it for aiming.

make 3 characters and only fly 24/7 put all your certs into acquisition timer

If your only problem is getting your sights on where you want, find a stationary object in VR, zip around a little, and then set your sights where you want them to go as fast as you can. Since your issue is not with leading, you don't need a moving target.
You can fiddle with air vehicle sensitivity, and consider aiming with mouse and flying with button input. Pull hard turns with a key, and aim with the mouse.
i'm starting to think the harasser won't be getting nerfed ever

I normally use mouse 4 and 5 for pitch up, pitch down for banking turns, and my general mouse sensitivity is set relatively low, it's really easy once you get enough practice.
Although if some settings are messed up like, mouse smoothing/acceleration. Then you should try and locate which ones are giving you trouble.
I die far, far, far more often to ESF than I do really any other vehicle. And this is mostly as an infantry player.

It's a lot of practice and muscle memory. Just try, crash, try again. Your attitude is what's most important. Rebind Pitch up and down to your mouse. If you get jumped you turn and fight, you don't ever flee unless there's FLAK or lock-ons.
Never ever rely on A and D to aim, you're teaching yourself a bad habit that will get you killed. You must roll and pitch.

Unequip dogfighting frame. It's a scam. It just turns up sensitivity and buffs your yaw(A, D), but since you must not rely on yaw it's just plain bad. Get hover airframe for more powerful maneuvers or racer for better acceleration.
