I should spawn sundies more often. That consistent XP flow is nice.
It's like 2 xp per spawn or something, if that's what you mean. Hell, I remember back in the beginning when everyone freaked out over how much xp you got with the Sunderer, but it took like 40 spawns in order to get XP enough to match one kill.
Honestly with how important sunderers are you think they would give more, before people would fight over getting the first deployed sundy, because that exp spam. Now it seems like most people can't be assed over it.
Anyone got pics/videos on the MAX Lumifibers? I had no idea they existed, you get them from recruiting 10 players and they all have to spend 10 bucks.
Had a harasser make my sundy do a triple nose spin. I only had it out for 1 minute before it happened too. Page King paint art of incident.

Yeah I found those after making the post. Oddly enough I searched the exact same phrases and got a ton more hits. I think those videos are not accurate tho, I think Vanu labs mod stuff. They uploaded the others as well on that channel. I met a guy on 4chan that had all the lumifibers and he showed me, however my screenshot fucked out and didn't save any pictures. None of em got much front coverage, mostly sides and back but they do look quite slick, they also work with composite and ogre armor.
I am about to play this for the first time since beta. I do not intend on buying any XP boosters or anything, so what can I expect the grind to be like? If it's too severe, I'll likely give up. Also, how can I be a useful support role?
That's because the Opposition stop fighting each other and start fighting us.
Which I guess has turned us into a crack professional army; we won a territory control alert on Esamir last night while underpopped :v: [editline]6th February 2014[/editline]
I am about to play this for the first time since beta. Luckily that is the most expensive item and most stuff tops out at 500 certs. As for support roles, Planetside 2 offers them in spades. Engineer and Combat Medic are both solid offensive classes but their repair and healing abilities are basically necessary for fights and if you can rez MAX suits as a medic you will make a lot of friends.

A buddy and I hacked a vehicle spawn a base over so we could get behind a tank column with something. Then we were allowed to spawn a Prowler from it. I didn't know you could do that. Does it require that you have an adjacent base be connected to a Tech Plant or what?

Is that also a new change? In the past having a base floating in the middle of nowhere I have been unable to spawn MBTs.
ES Sniper Rifles, NS Sniper Rifle, new NS SMG (no model for it yet), and Crossbow are up on PTS. Go check them out.
Oh wow, these new Camo's. AKA How to get shot first [T]http://assets.soe.com/img/PlanetSide2/News/VDay2014/NC_LoyalHearts.jpg[/T] [T]http://assets.soe.com/img/PlanetSide2/News/VDay2014/TR_LoyalHearts.jpg[/T] [T]http://assets.soe.com/img/PlanetSide2/News/VDay2014/VS_LoyalHearts.jpg[/T]

You get a free heavy weapon for each faction, which I strongly recommend. This only works if you haven't played for the last 6 months. If you use no XP boosts it will take a while, but it's not completely impossible to get stuff. I make 300 certs a day playing casually(probably more if I count all the chars I play on), you'd get half of that for the same effort. As for supporting I'd say medic or engineer, both are very useful. You could consider yourself support as a MAX by holding down locations too.
Wow, this WDS crate is going to take awhile to get.
That awkward moment when your dumbfired rocket accidentally hits a friendly Sunderer full of maxes.
What's everybody's thoughts on the new Dahaka Amp Station layout? I just got the chance to defend it for the last hour, and man having the spawn room in the main building makes it more fun. Honestly I'd be happy if they just implemented this design for all Amp Stations instead of the cluttered multi control point/spawn room design.

fucking nc scum

I find that the new layout allows the battle to flow much smoother and keeps spawn camping to a bare minimum.
Which I guess has turned us into a crack professional army; we won a territory control alert on Esamir last night while underpopped :v:
I don't know if you were around during the Totalbiscuit era last year, but for most of last year, the TR overpopped the server almost constantly. NC and VS either left or switched sides so those who were left began to level up faster and better. We lost a lot of our, 'pro' players because NC is seen as a non-viable MLG faction. What's happened now is that all the NC and VS players who stuck it out are now reaching level 50 to 60 finally. They're getting better and because they've played in worse situations, TR zergs don't scare nor hold us back anymore. We're also flying Reavers. That's probably one of the best things I've seen is that now we're flying Reavers which means the TR can't dominate the air game as easily as they did. All in all, the TR got kind of lazy and thought their BR 10s would shield their NUC level troops, but now they don't have that and having a 5 or 6 BR 50/60 NC on a single 100 isn't a good thing.
I really wish that SOE would add bayonets to Planetside 2. I actually ordered a platoon earlier to just simply blitz an enemy machine gun nest with powerblades and handguns, and we literally just stormed over them, and killed the majority of them with powerblades.

Are the WDS "crate" drops completely static, or are they randomized to some extent? [editline] edit [/editline] I'm talking about their content by the way, not when you get them.
I would love to be part of a TR infantry column bayonet charging a base while one guy with a commissar cap stands on a rock and spouts propaganda

Played for a few hours while in TS with my platoon for the first time. I am surprised at just how much better it makes things. I thought it'd be a bit awkward and a bit annoying but everybody was nice and it was just so much more fun.
