I've begun blowing a train whistle over our mumble in order to properly simulate the constant steamrolling. Whenever we finish capping a base and move onto the next one it's "TOOT TOOOT ALL ABOARD".
I just saw an NC Max shield wall (talking like 8+ MAXs)
it got completely decimated by vanu.
My tier 3 reward crate was 3x 1 hour boosters. That has to be bugged right? Pretty disappointing considering I won't be able to do next week at all.

They'd better change the camo thing too, single use camos are retarded which is why they got rid of them in the first place. Why they'd bring them back as a "reward" I have no idea. Just give me the permanent camos I was never going to buy anyway.

Just tried it on PTS... the thing is hitscan accurate even at 300m. Literally no bullet drop.
so it'll be an OP sniper untill it gets nerfed to hell and back after which there is zero reason to take it?

Can we get alternate modes that are actually fun to use?
Like I know we can't have jetpacks on the vanu max, but can we get some kind of jump ability?
And the NC sniper rifle, instead of inta-win shot how about something that fires a shrapnel round to do damage in an AoE, that'd be fun!

I assume being able to camp rooftops with a MAX like you can with LA's would be pretty annoying, or having half a platoon of MAX's instantly jump to the battlements of a tower. Still nowhere near as annoying as the ZOE was though, plus there's some inherent downsides to that (I.E If a MAX dies on top of a building good luck reviving it).

Just didn't work out? For real? They didn't even fucking try! The shotgun mode they had on the thing was fucking GARBAGE because it couldn't hit shit at 20m (even [I]less[/I] frequently than normal shotguns) had a fucking atrocious fire rate and shit stopping power.
I garun-fucking tee the 'higher velocity' will be equal to or inconsequentially greater than the HV bolt actions. AND do the same fucking damage.
The 'hitscan at 300m' will [B]undoubtedly[/B] change because VS players will yell and bitch that their faction perk is being handed out to a faction that is supposed to have characteristically one of the the slowest moving projectiles.
When will SOE learn that making weapons empire specific means more than just making a new model and sound effect.
I get that a certain guideline of balance needs to be followed, but I see nothing wrong with certain Empire specific weapons being a little out of whack if they are good at what the faction is supposed to be all about.
Also, this is really optimistic but does the 'Infiltrator Update' incorporate the new sniper rifles and abilities, or just the abilities?
I don't really have a clue what could make an original NC sniper really, now that they removed the shotgun thing. The TR one has the rapid fire, the VS one a charging thingy and the NC...faster bullets? It went from the most interesting one to the least.

Guided bullets would not work well on a class that fragile. It would also be sort of OP considering you would expect your bullet to fly like 300m easy.
So either you would have the easiest sniper rifle to use in the game singe you could just constantly guide headshots, or one that very frustrating to use because of the time it takes to shoot.
Wait.. is the infiltrator update going live NOW? All the servers are down. Or is it just maintenance?

Honestly, they could still make it interesting if they just gave it good "railgun" art. It doesn't necessarily have to be mechanically interesting to be a fun weapon. Make it like the Eraser railgun or the Quake railgun and make it feel fun to use and you'll go a long way I think.

Also, the TR Empire specific rifle seems to be getting more SABR-13 like, which is good.

Although I feel like a 2 round AND 3 round burst may be a bit redundant. I would like either a quicker 2 round burst (same fire rate as the SABR-13) or a more damaging 3 round burst.
It's also good to hear that they are upping the velocity from the fucking pitiful 400mps on a rifle 'utilizing technology to fire faster moving bullets' or whatever. That was barely faster than a shotgun slug lol. Pistol rounds moved faster than that.

I was placed on AT duty while defending The Crown yesterday. I discovered the wonder of the giant AT turret that is facing B.
After 45 minutes of almost non-stop VS scum swarming the two story building, and me blowing them the fuck up with direct hits, I got a tell from a 60 something BR VS saying "aimhacks? :/"
As a BR15 cannon whoring TR grunt, this pleased me greatly. I got over 35 certs from just that cannon, and an additional 15 when I switched to the one up front and took out Lightning after Lightning, as well as two sunderers and managing to take down a shrike with the thing.
We managed to hold the Crown until TR captured the territory from us to our warpgate; as up until then, we'd been completely cut off.
I find it funny how TR is the only faction not to feature a 845 rpm carbine.

I thought NC bullets were supposed to be slow and have the most drop? I thought TR bullets were the fastest but low damage, VS were supposed to be slow but be hitscan, and NC hit the hardest but moved the slowest?

Instead we get the useless perk of being able to hipfire the best. And hipfiring in this game is shit and makes no sense lore wise. What millitary would say 'hurr lets make a gun that just requires the user to spray wildly at enemies from close range instead of actually relying on their ability to aim'. Just fucking dumb.

Nope, all the servers are down. Every time they make a change or an addition the servers are down for like 2x they say they are going to be down for. They really need to get their shit together.

Well tbh I don't really know anymore since the reaver has the slowest bullets with the most drop, but the vanguard has the fastest and thus least drop. Maybe the vortek has the same velocity but just more drop, not sure. In any case NC perks are supposed to be hard fast bursts and lots of armor. VS are supposed to have the slowest projectiles but no drop and best accuracy.

It would be one of the most useless piece of shits in the history of FPS games if it didn't. Assuming they kept the ROF the same/slower, it is just a really big Bolt Action rifle.
Yeah, im pretty much playing infil most of the time (love the mid-range/short range stuff) but hitscan bolt action with no drop is just plain insane. that and i feel like its too much of a Vanu trait. If it had slower muzzle velocity and lower player damage for some MAX damage i'd be happy with it i guess.
I've never had issues with being hit by bolt actions. I mean, they hit me, but no more than a regular rifle.
Just keep moving around, there's no reason not to.

I get killed more by VS snipers than by NC to be honest, because their snipers dont have drop which is particularly an advantage for semi autos.
That's the thing with this game, if you're in the thick of it, you literally CANNOT stop moving for an instant. I find great success in flanking or putting myself in situations where the enemy dies before they can even react. Too often I feel like when I try to participate in front line fights I get killed fucking IMMEDIATELY after I start shooting or kill one guy.
When I go medic, I'm looking for flankers and letting the rest of my team take on the heavy lifting for the most part.
