It'd actually be really cool if they replaced with a blown up ruin. They could put some story behind it with some faction getting pissed off enough at the chokepoint that they eventually just did orbital bombardment on it.
Didn't I hear at some point that Searhus was meant to be added in early-January? Whatever happened to that? I took a long break from PS2 between early-February and about November of last year, so I totally missed out on that debacle.

SABR-13 for the medic is an absolute must. The TAR and the other high ROF assault rifle are good choices too.
Also, the Reaper DMR description is dead wrong. It does 200 damage at 10m and 167 damage past 10m. On top of a very slow ROF and a 25 round magazine.
With advanced grip + compensator it makes it a lot easier to use, but you certainly won't be killing an entire squad with one. To do that you would need to land all headshots within 10m and somehow not get detected when you reload.
It also isn't a battle rifle. It's an assault rifle.

Yeah that place was total trash. I hope they focus on the northern part next because that stupid road was absolutely miserable to walk up as infantry.
The Shade is currently quite silly on PTR. They changed the overheat a bit. Now it cools down a lot faster, and if you fill the heat bar it will immediately reload, resetting the heat bar completely(reload speed seems average). You can at any point reload manually to reset the heat bar as well. It has no bolt-action animation and thus you can chain two bolt-action shots in half a second since one BA-shot will only bring the heat bar to ~90%, and the second can be shot but will fill the heat bar, thus forcing a reload. The Semi-auto takes about 1/7th of the heat bar, meaning you can chain-shoot 7 shots before overheating.
All this with no ammo pool to expend. Unless the bullet velocity or damage is really poor(3 semi shots to kill, 1 BA-headshot to kill currently) the Shade will be pretty freaking awesome to use. The ONLY downside currently is that you have to charge for half a second to deal bolt-action damage, but you can do this as you adjust your aim anyway.
The Railjack also seems pretty awesome, having mad velocity at the expense of one shot per mag(which doesn't matter much since it OHK on headshots anyway). This will probably also be the go-to gun for NC.
TRAP is currently trash, but seems admitted by the devs that it is, and will probably be buffed/reworked.

It would be awesome if they made it so the NC sniper did bonus damage against maxes and light armor , so its basically an anti-material rifle as well.

I'd imagine ramping down the +velocity a bit and give it an alternative fire mode that consumes all ammo in the mag but takes out 1/3rd of a MAX's hp, ignoring headshots. It's just an idea so numbers may be off.

Even as an NC player I don't want it to be an AM rifle of any sort. Does that really sound fun to fight against? Especially when everyone and their mothers will have it. MAX's and light vehicles would be shredded instantly from a dozen different players that they can't even see.

They had orginally planned that, which was the reason why the shotgun mode did such absurd damage to maxes and tanks. It is now completely scrapped.
And as someone who drives vehicles a lot I'd rather not have to deal with another constant source of damage from a hundred cliff perching trigger happy infiltrators.

It takes a lot of Jimmying and wiggling and a practise I call Elder scrollsing. And careful use of the magburner.
you have to find a spot where two "planes" of too steepness meet up to create a less steep line, press forwards AND sideways which retardedly gives you extra "torque" and use the magburnur to get past corners.
It takes a while and a LOT of wiggling the mouse to find the sweet spot... but you CAN do it.
and more often than not jet jumped on by LA's with C4 from a bridge and die pretty quick.

I had this one guy go absolutely apeshit when I was looking for squads and had apparently joined and left his squad 2 or 3 times. My friend and I rammed his galaxy into the ground with our galaxies. I then said something insulting to him and immediately put him on my ignore list.
This is literally the only game I play where I feel good about getting the last word in before blocking communication. Maybe it's because there are so many shitbreathed piss-ants playing this game that I get satisfaction from them blowing up like a tightly sealed tea kettle when I block them.
There is also this mousey-voiced girl that plays on NC that leads one of the platoons I tend to play on the most. I don't fly into an enraged rant about how shitty our attack was when it fails, or what our sunderers were doing and why we weren't sending more up. There just seems something wrong about yelling at her.
And I usually have no issue yelling at inept platoon leads. There was this one guy who put a sunderer up in the fucking mountains near an amerish tech plant and marked out a path for us to follow with waypoints. Who the fuck does that? This isn't fucking arma where we can trek forever across endless fields and shit and expect to be ok.
Well no, this guy is trying to defend his outfit about accusations of intentional teamkilling.
He refutes this, by insulting [B]every other outfit and calling them zerg sheep[/B] and then starts talking about how he doesn't make his people zerg and he wishes the NC was just as tactical as him.
Which completely goes against what he usually does which is bitch and try to lead the whole NC through command chat and then get his squads stuck in situations where they dug their own grave. They start asking for reinforcements and they totally pull this kind of shit at the wrong time.
Also that Mousy sounding girl? Do you mean Princess Haruko? She's one of the LTs in PoTP.
I squad jump a lot and do not actually have an outfit. My main chaarcter is Cobalt TR, and I've (about four or five times) encountered one of the chillest players I've ever met there. He's a British guy that just logs on and occasionally talks about stuff to people in platoons. I believe he's a fan of Guinness and dislikes Biolab fights now that they're just massive clusterfucks.
I really enjoy laid back attitudes. Winning is great, but being angry when it doesn't go our way has always been very off putting to me. I'll (hopefully) eventually find a platoon with like minded people. Hard tactics etc aren't an issue, it's just when people start flinging shit at each other because of x or y that things get stale.
Haha I wasn't saying the NC sniper should be any more damaging than any other rifle for infantry, just thought it would be interesting if their sniper rifle ignored some of the small arms DR instead of the usual "might as well just have been another bullet" it normally is against max units and stuff like harassers. Considering you can only shoot it once or twice before having to reload I don't think that is too unreasonable.
If it's going to hurt a class of things, it shouldn't be able to perform well against other classes of things.
Being AV would be neat, but the AV class is HA. If something is going to do AV damage, I want it to go to HA. I really don't want every class in the game to have access to a means of killing every other thing reliably. That said, I'm already unhappy with a lot of the weapons and how general of a purpose they fill.

tbh like everything except the infiltrator has a way to effectively attack vehicles (C4 on all, and the engineer has the powerfull AV turret and devestating tank mines). the HA's rocket launchers do still come in handy though.

At least infiltrators can piss off tank drivers now with explosive bolts. Its not that effective unless you can get them to get out and shoot in them in the back repairing but it can be fun to shoot then cloak and watch him try find you then just repeat until he gets mad and makes it his mission to hunt you down.
