Planetside 2 V6 - VS capped Indar? It's more likely than you think

I just started playing again and abandoned my lvl 20 NC for a TR on waterson; Love the TR's guns so much more. Also, i can actually do things as a max!
I don't feel useful outside of being a medic. Anything else I feel like cannon fodder.
Played for 8 hours straight today :v:
Getting 1600exp for destroying a ESF with pilot is like a dream.
Skyguard ftw. I got so many kills.
One time a whole swarm of reavers attacked us at Mao, I got 20 certs in under 30 seconds.

I would really appreciate it if whom ever designed the tr guns posted a noted schematic of what each part did. I like the new style of TR weapons (the two LMGs, the T5 AMC, the SMGs, the SABR-13 and the heavy pump action), but I honestly cannot comprehend the old design prevalent in the semi auto shotguns and cyclers. That stupid blocky part at the front serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever other than to make the gun front heavy, not to mention it looks just absolutely hideous all around.
They kind of overdid it on the new rifle for TR as well. It's incredibly lumpy and stupid looking without any real purpose.
I really loved the designs of the Dahl, Vladaf and Hyperion manufacturers in Borderlands 2: http://www.videogamesartwork.com/games/borderlands-2/dahl-assault-rifle-body-variants
They had a sleek, functional look to them that make them looks really plausible and worked well with the theme of the manufacturer. The old TR designs don't look like anything I have ever seen firearms wise and only look tangentially gun-like because they have a trigger and a magazine. Would be nice to see what they used as a reference.
How are the explosive bolts? Can't find any video that shows their splash radius
Basically like a shitty grenade launcher, which already isn't that great.
Not bad as a secondary though. Comes in handy when C4'ing sundies as a light assault.

Just look at this scum:
Just found a TR player named TummyTickler.
Too cute to kill.
He probably shoots people in the stomach with a shotgun.

You mean the fact that VS can completely change the color of their armor with camo and other factions cannot? Yeah, that's pretty stupid.

Full change or no, it's sometimes FAR to easy to get in amidst a group of enemies and have them become oblivious.
I once jumped into a group of MAX's parked by a sunderer in the hopes of suicide c4ing them all to death.
It worked... cept I didn't die, in fact as medics came over to revive the MAX's I knifed several of them down... more medics came over, still not dead, knifed some more. Knifed some HA's and LA's and engineers on nearby turrets.
PULLED OUT MY FUCKIGN VS FLARE GUN AND FIRED IT INTO THE MIDST OF THEM AND STILL DIDN'T GET SHOT AT!
These were NC's MAX's in full splattergear I should've been dead in 0.2 seconds but no... some 12 kills and a force blade medal later i died...
To a BR4 TEAMMATE HEAVY ASSAULT who was shooting from the ridge opposite.
I think the trick is to not fire your primary weapon ad that's the easiest way to tell enemies apart.
Okay, is there a way to instantly destroy a Sunderer from a distance? My Sunderers just keep spontaneously combusting. They have engineers repairing them, and are full HP, then suddenly they explode; no enemies with C4 in sight, they just explode. And I have no fucking clue why.

Until I read this I didn't realize that the one on the right is VS. What the fuck.

From long enough range, a lot of weapons don't render. I would guess it's being shelled by a ceiling height Liberator. It shouldn't die instantly though, just incredibly fast. Nothing exists that is ranged that instantly kills a vehicle.
Could also be landmines, and then something sets them off later.
And if you really want to know you could just sit inside and blow up with it. That'll tell you.
I've found that distinguishing people is a real issue with the game. The different classes and empires need to be waaaaaay more distinguishable. It's a little easier at night, as VS glow a little from their helmets.

Err, the one on the left is TR, unless that was a joke :v:

Well this all depends you see. If you are dirty NC scum then it is because NC are terrible mechanics and don't know how to build a reliable sundy. If you are a cultist Vanu then it is because it is most likely full of alien technology you fools cannot even begin to comprehend and are using wrong. Now if you are one of the glorious Terran Republic master race then surely it is simply because the Brass is not impressed and has decided to activate a self destruct device put inside of sunderers.
----
To actually answer your question I have never seen or heard of any weapon in this game that can blow up a sundy instantly.

Even worse news, I think the one on the right is VS.

I distinguish friend from foe via Doritos. If it ain't got a Dorito, spot it. If it doesn't spot, then that's okay too I'm won't be too pushy.
Sometimes I shoot an enemy and it gives me the friendly fire sound, then the enemy turns around and kills me while I did 0 damage to them.

Sunderers don't render at ceiling height and I doubt a Dalton could outdps several engineers.

The only things that can destroy a Sunderer in an instant is a stack of tank mines or C4. There is no weapon in the game that can do that from range.
So I've been getting in a cycle latgley.
Get in tank, if tank dies and is on CD, go MAX, if MAX dies and is on CD go to tank.
I've kept this chain up all day.
I feel important in these fights. While tons of reavers were flying overhead, i managed to crash-land a mosquito in the Sungrey AMP station and capture point A. Some flyboy hovered in place vertically and shot me to death, but i managed to capture the point, which meant that we could spawn in the base. We lost A, but got C and D. Wouldn't have happened if i didn't pave the way for that.

That reminds me of a way my squad took over a little rock outcropping. I flying a galaxy when we come under flak fire. Half the people get out, leaving me and three other guys inside. I crash the galaxy into the rocks, and we all jump out a second before crashing. The wreck kills two vanu. In the next five seconds, the four of us bag 14 kills, and a few seconds later, a sunderer.
One guy then commented on VOIP.
"That was surprisingly effective."

I find that distinguishing enemy from friend is really, really difficult in this game.
I find that distinguishing enemy from friend is really, really difficult in this game.
I judge the body form and the nice blue icon that appears over allies.
I've killed a lot of friendlies from not distinguishing correctly, part of the reason I'm a medic now.
I have a habit of spotting every single enemy I aim at, stops me from shooting at friendlies for the most part.

I dunno. I had just spawned on my most recent Sunday, and was rocketing lightning a. Sundy was full HP then boom it just exploded instantly, and I'm almost 100% positive there were no C4 infantry about.

Either your having some latency problems, there teams of libs flying overhead calling targets, or you've somehow managed to break the game in an entirely new fashion.
I dunno. I had just spawned on my most recent Sunday, and was rocketing lightning a. Sundy was full HP then boom it just exploded instantly, and I'm almost 100% positive there were no C4 infantry about.
Probably got mined.
3 mines are enough to instagib a Sundy. Sometimes an engineer will run up to a Sundy and toss down his mines but die before he can trigger them, leaving them sitting next to the Sundy (unless they're defused by a maxed out engy tool). Any explosives, bullets, or someone trying to move the Sundy (or possibly being rammed by something, causing it to shift) will trigger the mines.
Also, massed MANA AV turrets can effectively instagib a Sundy. I once saw about 20 AV turrets deployed by GOON at Indar Comm Array which were pretty much just nuking every vehicle within 1 kilometer.
I'm having a really hard time liking TR. Their weapons sound and feel so good but they do piss all in terms of damage.

Am I the only one who's satisfied with the TR's DMG? Maybe it's a matter of accuracy, because I've always felt effective.
