I'm having a really hard time liking TR. Their weapons sound and feel so good but they do piss all in terms of damage.
You think the TR weapons sound good? If anything, I'd say the sound and feel is the worst thing about playing TR infantry.
This. Once I've heard these fan-made weapon sounds for TR weapons I knew how incompetent was SOE making the current ones.
that video just ripped out the sounds from Battlefield Bad Company 2 and placed them on top of PS2, so no, they're not an indication of "SOE's incompetence", they're an indication of DICE's audio budget
I'm having a really hard time liking TR. Their weapons sound and feel so good but they do piss all in terms of damage.
I think a lot of their infantry guns are fine. Their es weapons however were gutted and are mediocre at best. That and a lot of their abilities are situational and are usually more risk than reward.
Am I the only one who's satisfied with the TR's DMG? Maybe it's a matter of accuracy, because I've always felt effective.
Funny, I think the reverse. Their damage output is fine, the problem is their random as fuck broken accuracy.
enemy class identification is really difficult for me, especially when fighting NC. The engineer and HA look SO DAMN SIMILAR from the back, especially if they use their super bulky armor cosmetic. Same issue with VS engineers and LA from the front. Essentially I have a 50/50 chance of getting fucked over because the enemy I thought I was fighting suddenly engages an over-shield or flies away.
It's not perfect, but you can also use the spotting mechanic to get audio cues on your targets.
you don't need to bother with identification if you aim at their head
you don't need to bother with identification if you aim at their head
And if I'm not using a bolt action? Or if their animation spazzes out like it usually does? Plenty of reasons to know what your getting into given the shit that can happen in this game. If they are mid range for example I won't necessarily want to attempt hitting their head when they can start strafing around, and even if I get the kill you tend to draw more attention to yourself with prolonged fire since tracers are bigass laserbeams and muzzle flashes can be seen 300m away.

If he spazzes out with his shields, hes a HA. If he doesn't, he's an engi.

Meh. I think I'll take a break from this game until at least the new snipers roll out. Makes my emotions swing wildly from tooth grinding range during larger fights to absolute boredom where nothing whatsoever happens all night. I was on NC and an Amp station alert rolls around. Ever amp station we go to has almost no enemies there and we always arrive in just in time to help the mop up of a defense. I think I got a grand total of 4 kills the entire session. I also discovered a weird and rare newb who appears to have gone native both with the game and esamir. He plays LA and whenever he is in a lightening tank he screams in terror and anger all the time, even out of combat. When he is outside of the tank he crouch walks everywhere making weird alien gurgling noises and following people around.
Oh god I hate being on the winning side of a massive steamroll. Hell, I hate being the loser too, I don't even get the XP from that. I just want a big, even battle where I can do something. Sick of steamrolls.
then just... look around the maps and find fights with even numbers? then if one side abandons or gets overinflated you can just move to another
There's only ever 2-3 fights and they're either super tiny (1-12 v 1-12) or lopsided or both. And even if there are even numbers one side will either be super organized and steamroll anyways while the other is just a bunch of people sitting inside the spawn too afraid to step out of the doors.

I usually switch chars when I'm not interested in what's happening on one server. Bound to be good action somewhere.
I usually switch chars when I'm not interested in what's happening on one server. Bound to be good action somewhere.
I can't handle doing this because the grind is brutal enough without managing multiples.
I can't handle doing this because the grind is brutal enough without managing multiples.
I can do this if I have characters on factions that are different enough. TR and NC are pretty different. VS is boring as shit though, on top on using that nauseating cyan color on everything.
Showed this in other places figured I might as well show it here: A glorious lib kill I had the other night
It's just like the cinematic trailer.
"You did the thing."
Your friends all have crazy weird voices.
Saw this on reddit. I bring evidence of NC being OP. As unaware as all these fuckers were that got shot to hell, I can't remember a time where I did that much damage as a TR (Got close with the Jaguar I bet). Also notice how unaware EVERYONE is.

By the way, what is that 200 bullet mag NC weapon? The fact that they got a weapon like this is mind boggling.
By the way, what is that 200 bullet mag NC weapon? The fact that they got a weapon like this is mind boggling.
EM1 w/ extended mag.
That's some fucking rad music. [editline]25th February 2014[/editline]
EM1 w/ extended mag.
EM6 has it as well.
The one in the video was the EM1.
I'm planning to expand my NC heavy arsenal, would you recommend EM6 or EM1, or both?
I haven't had much experience with either, but from what I've seen the general consensus among NC is that the EM6 is a must-buy. EDIT: Wait what the hell am I talking about the EM6 is my second most used weapon, I just haven't used it since the NS-15M came out. It is definitely a must-buy.
