I think the regular skull helmet is just as bad. It just looks... dumb?
More testing is getting done with the Rail Jack, no one knows for sure the delay, it's ranging from .2 to .1 seconds, meaning it still doesn't have a shorter travel time than the longshot at 300m in it's best case. It doesn't make sense, maybe the velocity is wrong.
With the delay on the Railjack it now feels a lot like longshot. Maybe a little bit less bullet drop but it's not that much different.

I've also concluded that the scope sway is fucking retarded. It limits your shooting so hard. It also feels a lot worse than before, now it takes more than half a second for it to stabilize when holding shift, but that time is taken from the ~two second pool you have before you throw off your aim like you got punched in the dick and then have to wait five seconds for the pain to go away.

The skull helmet looks stupid on anything that isn't a TR MAX.
Don't know if this has been posted but you can get 500 SC for free.

You need Android or iPhone though, it's a little tedious but I'm not complaining at free SC :P

Awesome that didn't even take long. Those animations those models had when scanning was hilarious. Also one of them was stuck in the T pose.

Stopped working for me and it wouldn't scan them after a few : /

Sad to here but it worked fine for me. I used my 500 sc to buy one of those new voices for my TR guy. I would of bought something more useful but I already got all the weapons and the vehicles I use are already done up to look cool as I used to sub when the game first came out.
Guys, forgot to mention, some of the scanned pictures aren't in the right order. Somehow I ended up using the same scan picture on more the one occasion. Just scroll back through the images if it doesn't work.

No idea why but hey ho, back-tracking them worked for me.
Debating on whether to buy a voicepack or an armor pack.

oh shit.
I created a new character to see what options and deleted that character to do it on my actual character.
shit
The weapon and camo is still credited to your account so if you remake the character you'll have the items still.
Oh man hunter cloak + crossbow may be gimmicky but it's sooo much fun. I can finally be a sneaky bastard with it
The crossbow is so much easier to use that I imagined, too
Not sure why I keep playing this. I have literally no fun.
No point in playing what you don't enjoy, branch out and explore new horizons!

Yeah it's a shame you can't voicechat with enemy team, it would be so much fun.

Do you actually play with a group because of a whole bunch of the fun is the shenanigans that happens with people.
I do play solo quite often like I did today and I was playing for around 4 hours. Part of why I have fun is probably because I have spent so many hours playing now I know how to approach most situations and win. I mean I killed and I am being serious when I say 7 lightning tanks with the crossbow and explosive bolts today and it was so much fun. It was so funny because it is not like C4 or anything it is a low damage crossbow how can you fuck up as a driver that bad to let me put that many bolts into you to blow you up and for that to then happen 7 times in one play through. You then have the added C4 kills on top of that for sunderers witch adds to the fun.
If you are good you can get so much fun out of playing solo as well as with a group but it is highly recommended to play in a group these days especially with how easily you can get zerged by the enemy you need those other people to do stupid shit with sometimes. And when I say in a group I mean with people who use microphones.

Stalker cloaking is woefully underutilized because of this.
Stalker cloaking is woefully underutilized because of this.
I would just sit somewhere in the corner of a tower in stalker cloak and read furry fanfics in an old man's voice.
That reminds me of a cloaking sound I heard today right above the entrance to the spawn at Zurvan Amp Station. So naturally I check the corners above the spawn exit. I can see nothing, but naturally I just bodycheck the corner. I notice an odd bump but turn around and start walking away, then my brain realize that odd bump I mentioned, so I turn around and check again. Naturally there is a fucking infiltrator sitting there in cloak wishing to papa Vanu that the mad heavy don't find him.
I made short work of him but I felt ashamed that I didn't find him earlier.
I don't understand how people like this game, unless I spawn all the way across the map where there's no way they can get to me, I get spawn killed all the time, I figured I'd use a sniper rifle to, you know since CQB seems to be a shotgun shit fest for me, why does it take like 5 shots to kill someone?
Made my first 250 cert purchase: the VS surface to air rocket launcher.
Fear my lock on you flying cowards

I'm the complete opposite. I don't understand how people get these experiences. I'm rarely in a position where I'm getting killed as soon as I spawn. That's really only the sort of shit that happens in bases that you've pretty much already lost or are completely out-pop'd at, in which case there's not much point in fighting there in the first place.
I'm not saying it's your fault or "lern 2 play scrub" or anything don't get me wrong. I'm just saying that I don't quite understand how people end up with nothing but these experiences playing PS2 because that sort of thing is somewhat uncommon on my end.

It's so freakishly useful for those 250 certs. It's definately my most used launcher and I've spent way too much money on launchers.
really?
every single person I fire it at ever has flares

To be fair Planetside 2 is not that newbie friendly. It's very hectic in larger battles and if you haven't grown the reflexes to identify foes from friends as well as know where enemies may come from, and what sort of weapons they can use against you, you're going to have a bad time.
However the solution to all this is "lern 2 play scrub". Which is part of why I enjoy the game so much, you can get so much better while still wearing the same crap everyone else wears. It's a hostile, but healthy environment.

And when the idiot comes back you fire another.
I log onto my VS alt every once in a while and have a load of fun with my Lancer/Lasher heavy loadout. It's basically useless in 1v1 combat, but if I can find a good perch with an unfair angle on enemy infantry I get loads of certs. It excels at really long ranges if you can predict with the lasher orbs, because there's basically nothing that the other guy can do about it and you don't even have to hit him.
Pinging any vehicle I see with the Lancer is also great for assist XP.

You missed with the rocket pods.

Assists alone being worth two ground kills is pretty nice. And the fact that the damage is only slightly less than the standard rocket launcher but it seems the round drop is way less severe.
Is the new NS Sniper worth getting?
