What do you guys find to be effective on your Harrasers? I have some certs to blow, but I'm not sure what I should get.
I have M60 Bulldog with IR/NV on it, composite armor, turbo and racer. Does it's job, unless gunner is inept idiot
Some sort of air-burst rocket launcher would be really cool.

The fury is awesome and is possibly going to get nerfed, and the halberd is alright and cheap, all in all there are no bad options aside from the ranger.
I'm partial to the Halberd. Cheap as hell, accurate, fast firing. Has little splash but a direct shot will kill any infantry.
Yeah. Halberd is the best vs any type of armor, fury is stronger because of more shots and wider splash vs infantry.
Underbarrel grenade launcher really makes being a medic more fun, too bad it breaks half the time and won't fire and thus you die.
Because "shit" and "fuck" are covered by "swearfilter" checkbox in the options.
The word "negative" is apparently censored too. I suppose it's because negative. Seriously. Nega, yo nega, what's up with that? Is it even a word?
Also, check this idea for TR ESRL. I really liked it.
Wasn't something very much like this In planetside 1?
And nobody used it because you had to be good at trigonometry just to fire it?

How? It doesn't seem like it would be all that complicated to work out.

In planetside one there was a launcher that would travel a set distance (that you set by right clicking at a target)
You had to aim up in order to have the cluster rockers fire down so in order to be accurate you had to use trigonometry in order to calculate the CORRECT range that it needed to travel.
More often that not it would undershoot because you were level with the target or overshoot because you were above it.

Honestly if it was extremely rewarding to do those calculations correctly I would fucking love such a gun. I'm pretty good at that and I find it really fun.

The issue was it didn't do much more damage than a dumb fire and the projectiles moved pretty slowly.
It wasn't even that good at hitting enemies behind cover. The projectiles just never hit or never did enough damage.

It was terribad. Way too much effort and sheer luck for a weapon that wasn't even that effective, and used a huge amount of inventory space.
Is the NC population always this low or is it just a bad day? (EU server)
I just noticed that the LA class update got moved into the 'Unscheduled' section of the roadmap. What the hell.
I mean I understand why infiltrators took precidence considering there is nothing infiltrator like about them, but god damn LA needs some help too. I really hope they bring out another round of carbines. TR desperately needs some variation in that department.
They all do the same amount of damage and only really differ in terms of rof.
Just made 130 certs in two hours
I love a good Hailstorm-JumpJet combo.
Guys i just started playing this.
And i really fucking love the lightning, and i've notice he's fairly mediocre against any kind of enemy armor.
So i've been considering, should i get the 250 cert HEAT cannon or make a straight run for the 750 HE one and ignore it's anti-armor capabilities completely and focus on anti infantry?

From what people have said to me and by looking at what other people's lightnings are generally equipped with, it seems better to just go for an AI build. I'm pretty content with the viper myself though.
Killing infantry is almost always applicable. Killing vehicles is rarely applicable. AI all the way.

LA's are perfectly fine at doing their roles with shotguns/c4
they are literally the best shock tropper class out there.
I mean yeah there could be more to them but they already have a role and a high adoption rate in the game so an update to them doesn't seem that necessary at all at the moment in light of the infiltrator being a class that actually does suck at doing its job simply because there aren't really that many things to hack, hack rewards suck, cloaking works nice but doesn't work good for close quarters infiltration, thier grenade options are awful, they have zero certs worth certing into except for AP mines, etc.
I play infiltrator predominantly and I've already "max'd out" my class despite me spending hardly any certs into it, and the things I've added to my suite are all very minor and none of them actually help infiltration all that much. The only reason why I still play infiltrator is because I love the nyx, I love AP mines, and I love the ability to cloak to blend into a battle and get behind lines.

Really? You get much larger XP rewards for vehicle kills now though. And since the recent patch, its even harder to kill vehicles... unless you are using an armor peiercing round (HEAT is that, right?). AP rounds kill just as good as AP rounds did pre-patch, which means they are incredibly effective at taking out tanks compared to before, since they basically ignore all the armor buffs tanks just got.
Also can someone explain to me why are sunderers nigh indestructible against the lightning's viper?
Like, seriously, okay it's not a dedicated anti armor weapon but god damn it.
So i find this sunderer hidden behind some rocks outside one of our bases, and i sit there and shoot it's ass for half my total ammunition.
Just for it to start pouring down mooks and overpower me before i could properly damage it.
What's with that?
The lighting is not the type of vehicle to engage a sundy on your own.
Aircraft + c4 Light assaults + Main battle tanks = Sundy destroyed.
They go down very fast when those 3 are combined so making them easier to kill by lighting would be to big of a nerf in their defences.
How do i prevent a ninja attack to a badly defended station even though i've spotted the bloody thing minutes before it actually started pouring down people?

Once you have played for a while you will get to understand better on how things are generally done. Vehicles kind of have different roles in the field as to what they are effective for.

Being ignored is so fucking fun.
It's not a hard question to answer guys, I don't plan on wasting my month of premium on some faction that's dying.

You didn't say which EU server and even if you had it's not exactly guaranteed that some one will be around who knows the answer to the question anyway.

Well it's Miller in particular, but I'm asking how's the NC situation on the EU servers.

NC and TR have fairly balanced populations on Ceres, with NC usually having 1-2% more during the evenings.

Higby's puttin' on the moves.

I find the HE cannon to be of questionable usefulness.
Note that the lightning cannons, save the default one, have pretty flat trajectories. In practice this means that splash damage is only rarely effective because you much be located above your target or your target must be standing directly in front of a wall.
The overwhelming majority of kills will be accomplished with direct hits on infantry, as this will instakill with any of the three cannons.
Now some splash damage is nice for flushing people out of cover, so going full AP isn't really reccomended, but the HEAT cannon makes for a reasonable balance. Almost as effective vs infantry as the HE, but can still win in a fight with most ground vehicles.
Oh god my AV/AV magrider is now my new favourite loadout.
With a gunner on teamspeak its an absolute tank slaughterer
I was getting like 70,000 score/hour
Wow Higby needs to eat something.

I ran this through most of beta and when we got a third we ran AV/AV Mag and AP Lightning. We would literally just drive around for hours not dying and instantly killing every vehicle we saw.

NC is mighty fine on cobalt

From what I've heard, HEAT HEAT and only HEAT. The HEAT has enough splash to fuck over infantry, the HE won't do you good worth enough of sacrificing the AP damage that the HEAT comes with. The AP cannon is bad because it's shit against infantry and the small amounts of damage it adds is not worth it, thus only HEAT.
well before there wasn't a huge different between HE and AV in terms of tank killing ability. I mean I could quite comfortably kill most tanks with HE. While completely decimate infantry as well.
But now, its actually worth fitting just to go tank and sundy hunting.
