Planetside 2 V6 - VS capped Indar? It's more likely than you think

I don't know. If you had regular flight then you'd be totally unable to fight anybody who got behind you. I'd argue that would be more annoying.
Plus this IS the future, Vtols are futuristic.
floaty helicopter/jet crossbreeds are doable but bullets that don't drop aren't

Bullet drop would just bring more problems and lag.
How is VTOL capabilities related to bullet drop anyway?
Well, back to the grind then. I can muster up some more patience.
Could just get boosts too
Best to buy stuff when things are on sale or in a big package discount thugh

Bullets do actually have drop in this game... Unless you're Vanu, lasers don't drop.
I love air mechanics in this game because it's so unique. Even if it has its quirks another battlefield dogfight would just be lame, I do not want them to change it.

Is this a normal thing for you Vanu folks or does this just happen on occasion?

Since I've switched over to Vanu I can confirm that this is a common occurrence near the end of one of our raves.

So this is the kill board of a hacker. The last thing he saw before he got banned..

In other news [del]everything wrong with AV balance[/del] the av turret is getting nerfed come the april balance pass. It's actually getting a range reduction this time, and thankfully they're going to make it's collision size and model less awful. It's also going to auto spot it self when ever it fires, which is probably going to be hilarious.
Also of note Heavy assault shields are getting a ramp up time instead of instantly activating in the interest of making them more planned out and situational. So that's a thing.
Fall state
We’re removing all jump penalties (both the post-jump speed penalties and removing the player from iron sights) when players enter the fall state unintentionally without jumping. This will prevent annoying situations like losing accuracy because you hit a small ledge in the terrain
So happy they are doing this. I had enough issues with sliding very slowly down a rock, making it impossible to aim.
Auto spot on the turret is a tad ridiculous I think.

Think of it like a vehicle, it's range is comparable if not more than a tank, tanks are large and easy to see, the av turret isn't.

It's like a reverse metal gear rex, we can find their locations by tracking the fuel trails left by the conventional guided missile.
How you ask? Auraxian Nanomachines.
The only way they'll ever fix it is with a range reduction (which it needs) or a stupidly over the top damage reduction.
They should probably just remove the guidance and pinpoint accuracy. That would limit the range and make it worse at killing infantry than the anti-infantry turret.
I'd like if they made it dumbfire with a little bit of drop and faster speed. Kinda like a heavie's launched but ground-mounted and with some protection for the user.

Better yet, Make it a Howitzer... I'm sure you guys would love to have a portable howitzer.
To trace it back, the projectiles could leave a smoke trail (In the same vein as the lancer beam effect) leading back to the gunner.
it being autospot will kinda suck
it'll probably go like this;
1. shoot rocket
2. be sniped and hit by a torrent of fire before you even have a chance to guide said rocket
Shit's all fucked up:

except they're still gonna be able to fire outside of render distance(based on what the thread said), so the chance of getting sniped is unlikely
shit like this is why people hate AV turrets:

there were about 8 turrets a little under 500m away fucking anything that moved out of indar excavation, there was nothing you could do about it because nothing would get close enough to render them, let alone line up a shot on the turret itself before being instagibbed by all the rockets

Giving it a huge noticeable muzzle flash at a distance would fix that just fine. Autospot is overdoing it.
I just got invited to an outfit for no reason.
Joined up. Not much happened. Wasn't super organized. They managed to get everyone to go and pick up tanks and sundies and such, but couldn't break the enemy zerg even remotely. Just a stalemate.
Not that I'm complaining, I prefer tied battles over steamrolls.

Some of you may remember these from back in August. I was curious about them so I decided to tweet Tray about whether he could disclose any information about when / if we'll be seeing them. He replied with "No ETA".
Now watch as we don't see this stuff for 4+ months even though it's essentially complete or at least near completion.
Nailed it :v:
what's better and why, the instant medkit or the regenerating one?

If there is a large tank zerg heading towards quartz ridge/indar excavation you can get a some nice quick XP as a platoon doing that. Nothing stopping a Lib or ESF from fucking you over while camping.
I am there to stop ESFs and Libs from fucking people over.
Usually AT-Turret walls are accompanied by an equally large AA-MAX wall.
And even if you did manage to destroy the turrets the engineers can just place another at no cost.
I really wish there was like, a material thing that Engineers had so they were limited in what they could use.

What about the Striker?
Oh wait :v:
The only thing they make that's irritating enough to warrant limiting use is the AV turret, though. I would like to see a "reduction" in their ability to throw down things rapidly. Like, they have to place a turret, and then repair it up to functionality.
It is a little wrong to play turret whack-a-mole to distract tanks. Or occasionally dropping turrets for cover in an open field right away.
I think they're going to nerf it to nothingness, and the only long range AV option will be the underused Lancers.
