Everybody wins![/QUOTE] I don't like how they're diverting resources away from something unique like PS2 in favour of yet another fucking zombie game that no one asked for. I'm not too worried about PS2, and like you said it might be a better fit for him, but I still don't like that they made a decision like that.
So played an hour and here are some things I can tell you about the patch. The TR MCG (minigun) is absolutely amazing with the overdrive attachment they added plus the fact if you shoulder the gun the cone of fire never increases. The overdrive is great as not only does it start firing at a faster rate the overall rate of fire is faster too making it so much quicker to kill with. This thing is fucking amazing now. The new carbine for the TR is great I used to find myself in so many if only I got one more bullet in him situations with other TR guns but this one seems to have fixed that problem with the nice 167 damage it has. The buff to the M18 Needler is great it may only be 5 more rounds (75 up from 70) but the added amount of ammo in reserve (900 up from 840) is just a delight. Oh and the fact that Harrasers now have turbo as standard is just fucking awesome. Always one of those things I wanted to cert into but never had certs spare for as there was always more important things to cert into.
I have an amazing performance boost with the x64 client. I used to have complete computer freezes before this patch when opening the map after a while and with the new client I have a constant 60fps no matter where I am and didn't have a single crash in 4 hours.
x64 client so they dont have to fix memory leaks

Now with this patch the game has become pretty much unplayable. I guess it's my turn now.

I love when something like this is missed on the PTS and people freak the fuck out. "SOE you have a test server for a reason how did you miss this you guys are the worst" "We missed it because not enough people participate in test events." "YOU NEED TO GIVE US INCENTIVE TO TEST" How about a fucking working functional game? Is that enough incentive?
Bah, I'm trying to have fun but both Amerish and Esamir are completely dead, the only fights are on Indar and I'm bored to death with those stations, and even then the fights are mostly out in the open where you get wrecked by lightnings, none of the fun bases are currently under attack. It's hard to get into the game when there's at most one good fight on the server at any given time.

I might play in the morning and there is nobody on one day and the next it is heaving and then the same goes for the rest of the day. I have thought to myself that there needs to be a system in place that just auto funnels players from low population servers together to help bolster the numbers a bit and separate them back if the numbers for each side reach a reasonable amount. But then this sounds like an oddly difficult task and would probably never fully work.
I'd prefer if they just merged all european servers into one, would solve many problems and would be easier to handle.

How do you people manage to still be into this game after so long? I tried getting back into it 3 times but I always get bored after 1-2 weeks. Making enough certs to buy shit takes too long and the fights get stale after a while, especially since you know winning or losing bases doesn't matter much. I want to like the game, but idk
I play almost daily and have great fun. I am not subbed and despite that I generally just play for fun I tend to average around 100 certs an hour so getting things I want never seems difficult for me. There is also the fact that I play as an engineer on the ground as well as a ESF pilot and MBT driver this variation of activities keeps the fun going for me. I played for a long time off of steam and a while on steam I would say combined I have put around 500 hours into the game. In reality that is not too much for a dedicated player considering how long the game has been out now but I did stop playing for quite a while.
Well I'm a bit over 600 hours atm, I could definately play more just because I have more guns to play with, but the actual gameplay(stale fights on Indar) makes the game boring. If we had ten times as many players on one server so there were large fights on all three continents then I could play this for ages.

I don't understand what has happened to the CARV, aside from an audio change(which I don't know if I prefer over the old), the gun just kills more shit. It feels more stable and a lot better at far ranges, but I can't see any buffs for it.
I have started to play as the medic to change things up a bit and the SABR-13 is awesome such a good gun. Will probably toy around with a couple of the other guns but I think I will probably end up sticking with the SABR-13.
