PS1 got pushed back for another week. Come the fuck on SOE!

Before they could react, TR and NC forces were ambushed by a horde of VS Tusken Raiders shortly after hearing their warcries.
Got bored so I started concepting body armour for when Player Studio begins accepting them. [thumb]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BmJKMU3CUAAaipw.jpg:large[/thumb] The question is, which will come first: Armour for Player Studio or Player Studio for AU?
I'd buy that.
Speaking of AU. Those login times eh, how 'bout them. SOE can eat a dick.
I've noticed that recoil (with the lightning, maybe all vehicles?) is heavily reduced when you move the turret while shooting. You can just wiggle around at very low speeds and it'll also work.
So after sitting in the "meh" end of patch notes for ages I decided to up stakes from vanu and go play a TR character... I've not used anyone besides vanu since beta and I gotta say, the guns feel WAY better... My goal is of course to get an MCG with the more dakka attachment, the MCG being the only ESHW that seems useful at any range beyond ball kicking distance. (ever tried to camp a doorway with extended fire with the lasher? it's accuracy change a few patches back means you have a good chance of actually hitting the DOOR more than you do the space in front of it...) I used to get about 70odd certs on a good day as vanu... with tr I get anywhere between 90-120... perhaps it IS just me getting them early medals but still... It seems that people I put under my crosshair get hit more when I pull the trigger. The only thing Vanu seem to have going for them these days is the no bullet drop sniper rifles (sniping is for queers anyway) and the sideways mountain goat tank...
It's just a grass in greener thing. You're getting more certs because you're unsure of the gun characteristics which usually leads to you shooting a little more controlled. You might find with TR vs NC engagements, you'll feel like you land twice as many shots as the NC dude and just be like "Wtf these guns are trash" etc.

Essentially any distance where you can't go full auto it's useless. It's still a nice gun though, very fun to use, and you're right about the Lasher.
If we're talking about range get the TMG-50 with the compensator and forward grip, it's awesome. Although I think they buffed the T9-CARV because I've noticed recently it feels A LOT more powerful.

Also, in the TR I find myself USING my pistol now... like it's a viable alternative.
The only difference I've noticed with the CARV is bullets tend to hit more. I think it's related to hit detection, because higher RoF guns had a nasty habit of landing ghost rounds on people. They still can, but I'm noticing it less for all weapons.
The biggest issue with most TR guns seems to be that they have a very high left and right horizontal recoil, back from the day when flinch made ROF king.
So there's this, it's nothing new but... [thumb]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/3318334931028099544/22E52A405E9B8630215A740E8C186CF7F7120A62/[/thumb] Could you not use this like a siege tower and get over walls.
Depends on the wall, but yes it's been done.

I am using a grip and compensator and it is making it so easy to burst or go full auto at those longer ranges. It is my new favorite gun.

I'm interested in doing this now.

I used to complain that the CARV would sometimes instawreck someone and just behave like a goddamn rambo, and sometimes absolutely nothing would hit and you'd ragequit because the gun just did not seem to work. All this seemed to have with hit detection to do. Now the gun performs much more stable, almost always performs well and still sometimes instawrecks people.

Where has this weapon been all my life? Now I see why Vanu felt so gimped... nothing can stand to my power! There are a few occasions where using the rhino is a little better(which i got for free because starter quiz...) and it's nice to have a beyond mid range LMG. To play my "darkhorse vanu" card a little more, There key downside is that they lack any form of meaningful facton identity. The TR weapons usually win out at mid range due to sustainable rapid fire and decent accuracy. The NC do wel at point blank OR extreme range Due to high dps and low accracy or high single shot damage and good accuracy. The Vanu can only win out where the other two are weak but do not excel at anything... they're better at mid range than NC and better a long range than TR... and quite often it's a 50/50 toss up when it comes to tr at point blank... When I die to a vanu soldier 9/10 they are using an NS weapon. Vanu need more laser cannons and photon streamers... not overly compicated technobabble to do what conventional guns did anyway. TR can have their CARV and shoot it too! That thing is a beast
You're greatly overexaggerating things. Vanu weapons are fine and strong.
You're greatly overexaggerating things. Vanu weapons are fine and strong.
Been playing Vanu for the first time, the Pulsar is amazing. First Heavy Assault weapon i actually get along with in the entire game.
Welp downtime, expect it to extend four times over.
reminding u all that the superior version, Planetside 1, is available for free starting today
reminding u all that the superior version, Planetside 1, is available for free starting today
Planetside 1 will NOT be as good as everyone remebers, it suffers HUGLEY from nostalgia filtering. Remeber BFR's will be a thing!
yeah you jerk off to the cashgrab that was PS2 also guess what, core combat isnt even in the game so there are no BFRs
PS2 has a lot of good things, and it's a fine game. There's balance and unique item issues, but I've seen mostly improvements to both of those since launch. Not to say there aren't some glaring issues here and there still.
