Loving emerald, playing with [ZAPS] is so much fun, battlegal for days. The new cont locking is great because fuck indar forever.
Hossin doesn't look as nice as I was expecting. There's a few areas that are like "They totally made this to take screenshots of" but then the rest of just feels like there's not really anything neat to look at. Maybe I just haven't been to the right places though, I've only been able to explore about a quarter of it so far.
That's because it's not finished.
This game will never be finished

you can get a free gun (golden NS medic gun I think? shows that pic in the email and is named "golden gun" when activated in browser) by redeeming the word "SummerReward"!

I like Hossin even though it isn't completely done yet. I like to take advantage of cover with bushes and trees so fits me perfectly. So far i've gotten more kills in there than usually i get with my NC character in other continents
Is anyone else experiencing broken vehicle terminals on Hossin? Some vehicle terminals just don't work after a base has been taken for some reason which gets really annoying when you need to push or reinforce an assault at the next connected base. They can be accessed but won't deploy the vehicle that was ordered.
This game will never be finished
Some games exist in a perpetual state of almost, path one finishes up things from release and adds semi finished new things that will be added in patch 2 etc...
I was playing on Hossin this morning and was destroying turrets but I noticed that this one base had a bunch of turrets that you couldn't get to unless falling from the top of the tower to it because a wall was in the way. How do they miss something like that and if they did it on purpose why?
aw what, the gifted gun counts as a completely different weapon so kill count and unlocked attachments for it are seperate from the default one. Guess I'm not using it as I don't want to spend all certs that I put in the plain version again :v:
On the other hand, you can also get another set of medals with it.
How do they miss something like that
Because YOU didn't test it on the PTS.
Because YOU didn't test it on the PTS.
Hey I played it on PTS just not that much cause I wanted to get medals on the live sever.
is it me or has the lightning become flash tier uncontrollable? I was spinning all over the place when going slightly downhill (using that cert that improves handling, didn't try it without) also it doesn't go faster than 33 kmh in reverse. I thought all tanks should be able to go reverse in full speed now?
Have they changed the controls for vehicles? When I try to reverse and turn everything goes tits up now.
I'm digging Hossin and the continental lock system as it is currently. It's not bad, they're obviously going to have to change it later, but for four continents it works quite nicely and it really fills you with dread sitting in a new base when all of a sudden the entire continent falls to another faction. Everybody just kind of sits there going "uuuuuhhh shit" :v:
But Hossin has been in development for over a year. And apart from the plants it doesn't actually use new base assets either. Even Indie developers can put out entire games in that time span. So I find it hard to buy that excuse.
It was a joke.
Was hard to tell. Some people do genuinely use that excuse.
Playing Devils advocate a second, the PTS is there to spot bugs like this and the dev team cannot level the same amount of bugfinding power as an active playerbase. And perhaps the whole point of that base was to take advantage of height, perhaps it's like the treetop base, try looking up.
For those asking, tanks are bugged and super slidey right now. Additionally, the option for "reverse steering" has been turned on for everybody(?). This option makes it so when you go backwards, your turn direction changes, which naturally causes issues if you were going forward one way, and wanted to reverse the same way. This option can be turned off in the game options.
we had a harasser race on Hossin [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/3298073806341679947/0E42132D2D4D812C030DF3E30B6419DC40462365/[/t] the jungle creates a great track with many jumps and obstacles :v:
So I asked the people at a TR Warpgate about close range guns for TR Medic.
I prefer the TRV, because it is more dakka. I have yet to meet a higher ROF weapon that I don't prefer over other comparable weapons. For generic infantry guns, at least. It's not about accuracy. It's about firing so many bullets that missing half of them still leaves enough bullets on target to form the illusion of accuracy.
Hossin: the continent that forces air/ground interaction to be interesting.
Hossin: the continent that forces air/ground interaction to be interesting.
Airchavs have to get in close and AIM in order to hit. The fog is great it means those AV turrets aren't as effective at range meaning vehicles have the chance to get in close and work with the shorter range they've been given. I was using the lancer on a tank at mid-long range and had to use the light given off the it being on fire in order to deliver the killing blow.
I have yet to fly on Hossin myself as I have been busy but if you have to get in close because of fog it sounds like thermal vision will be useful for instantly lighting up your targets for you.
So I asked the people at a TR Warpgate about close range guns for TR Medic.
You get the barrage for free. And you shouldn't be in cqb as a medic, stay back with your free NS-11P/payed for NS-11A. People who res someone who they just saw get shot down need to do a better job of securing the area.
I believe you can still get a free gun if you redeem the code SummerReword, I don't remember if it's any good.
Incoming weather, prepare your everything to be even worse to drive/fly.
