Medics should never, ever, ever have any other weapon/tool out besides the medical applicator.
which weapon should I go for in the quiz as TR? I don't think I need the medic gun seeing how I got the NS-11 P but I can't say anything about all the other options.
T5-AMC is really good.
Avoid the MAX AI and infiltrator weapons.

The MAX one would be alright if it weren't for the fact that it's already on the arm that has an AI weapon by default.

A medical applicator and a sidearm to euthanize those soldiers too far gone.
The Mercy is the best AI MAX weapon because it has the incredible advantage of actually being able to hit stuff
I haven't played this in about a year, is it still grindy as fuck?

Cert gain is much faster now since there's more ways to earn XP, and they greatly reduced the cert prices of a lot of weapons. But since there's pretty much always stuff to buy it does still feel grindy.

Each step is smaller but there are more steps...
However getting a gun you want is much less painful, can be done in a few days worth of regular play or about a weeks worth of moderate play.
Less so if you have a booster.

I don't do much MAXing, but I've tried rolling with both an onslaught and mercy and it feels pretty amazing in between close-mid ranges. Their difference in magazine size makes up for their difference in rate of fire, so they both run empty at just about the same time.
If you want an AI MAX the best choice if you're a good shot is an AV weapon. Not good at mowing down legions of dudes, but you can fight off two or three guys pretty well. You'll never fight a legion of dudes anyways, and if you do you'll die to a legion of dudes.
Can we remove Biolabs yet.
Who even has fun at these other than the defenders.
Every time I try to play Planetside 2 I have a single day of really cool huge battles and shit where I feel like I'm doing things then every day after that is just farming/being farmed rather than playing a game.
Also I have no clue what you guys are talking about this game is still grindy as fuck.
Yeah Hossin isn't even a half decent reason to consider re-installing this game. Still too many issues with the core gameplay itself, a new continent isn't going to change any of that.
I bought a voice pack for my TR alt because infantry cosmetics are on sale right now and I had some spare SC sitting around, but I can't keep it equipped. I can select it in the profile screen but as soon as I move away from that screen it re-equips the greenhorn pack again. I thought they fixed that months ago?
People really trust their C4 these days.

(Ignore House going in the background and steam sound at the end)
I tried buying a flare gun with certs but the transaction fails each time :(

perhaps they didn't expect a retard to use certs on it.

You need to deploy then select it while you are alive. It doesn't work if you havent deployed.
is it like double XP weekend or something? I am flooding in certs.

Man, with the new continent and weather effects coming soon I was like "I wonder how Planetside 2 is now."
Thanks Raidyr.
TORQ is the best anti-vanu weapon in the game. I was packing it with silencer and after failed assault i stayed near their base just killing the vanu off the fortress walls with it.
Possibly my black camo helped too since it was night.
Oh huge discounts on camo's and headgear now guys.

Thanks man. I completely forgot about that.
what are the best NC medic guns? I already have the NS-11P, should I just use that?

I use the Reaper DMR. It's got enough recoil to out-thrust most aircraft but goddamn does it shred once you add a compensator.
Hell, I even manage to wreck house with it at close range. Earlier today I was defending Vanu archives. Managed to stop an entire squad just by spraying down a corridor through smoke.
After playing a few hundred hours on both my medic and engineer I want to spend more time with my TR heavy assault. Up until now I only used him for taking out aircraft with his grounder rocket launcher that locks onto aircraft and used the minigun with either two hundred rounds for suppressing or the overdrive attachment for close quarters.
Considering I want to start using him as my main class for awhile I am going to need to be using something other than the minigun because I am going to need to be able to stand a chance at further range firefights. What guns for a TR heavy assault would you guys advise. If you can tell me the best weapon options for different ranges and playstyles that would be great as I don't mind having four different main guns to swap between.
I find the T16 the best at range. TMG-50 hits harder, but I can't aim with it as well as I can with T16.
MSW-R is my favorite overall, but its performance at range is not as good as the T16.

If you had any lasers, foregrips, or their advanced variants on guns that support advanced variants (and only guns that support advanced variants), you were refunded certs and lost those attachments. They combined the advanced versions with the regular version, making a single 200 cert advanced option.
Strangely, the attachments still seem equipped, so if you just don't take them off you may just default to owning them in a several months, similar to how you could equip different grenades in VR a long time ago and you would keep them in the regular game. Otherwise you'll have to spend what you've been refunded to get what you had back.

On the other hand, if you're the type that likes a high rate of fire in close-up fights you could get the GR-22. A fire rate of 800, access to soft point ammo, and .75x movement modifier make it one of the few NC weapons meant for close range. It's much cheaper than a Carbine similar to it, the GD-7F, costing only 250 Certs instead of 1000.
IMO because of the low cost and how it fills a role not many other NC weapons do it's a must-grab for NC characters that are new or strapped for certs.
I fucking hate Biolab fights, they're the only fights I don't like.
And I hate most players because they would rather farm, its my biggest complaint against Outfits, especially Part of the Problem. They focus so hard on farming that they'll become a completely useless zerg and then get angry when you call them out on their shit.
Just now I got an implant drop as a "supply drop" instead of it saying just the usual "item unlocked". It had a special sound too. What's the difference between a supply drop and a regular drop?
Today was a productive day I think

Spent a majority of the time on the mesas of Hossin with a gal and tons of AA Max / Heavies, shooting down absolutely all air while engies kept the galaxy alive, we even took down an onslaught of 8 reavers at some point.
So, maxed out repair Sundy fixing a Galaxy creates an invincible monster. It attracts all of the bullets in the world.
