Planetside 2 V6 - VS capped Indar? It's more likely than you think

I cri evry tiem when I jump into a gunner seat and they don't even have the basic zoom optic.
So I fully certted out my heavy and am moving to fully cert out my Sundy. I know almost nothing about the sunderer. Do you guys have any tips with what I should do first with it and what are the best weapons to put on it?
Every Sundy should have zoom on all weapons, Racer Chassis, and either Fire Suppression or the Gate Shield Diffuser.
If you intend to go Battlebus, the Basilisks are generally the best choice as they can engage any target from range; and you can use the certs you'd otherwise spend on weapons to increase the sundy's Blockade Armor and Fire Suppression levels.
If you intend to just park it somewhere as an AMS, go with either Blockade Armor or Mine Guard, and get a Bulldog or two; they're better at murderizing nearby enemy infantry than the Basilisks, are pretty cheap, and can be used against enemy vehicles at close range.
It's not really useful, but it is still frustrating to not have it available.
When did the Vanguard get the grey paintjob? I only just noticed it today that it's the stock pattern. Looks sexy as shit
Also it feels really good to pull a Vanguard at the warp gate, use it through several battles spanning the width of the continent, only for you to lose it via logging out for a break

Happened a few patches ago. I like it, but all these vehicles being turned grey does make me wish there was a flat faction colour camo without any stupid patterns. And isn't oversaturated as fuck.

There's a lot of good looking camo's that seem to have this weird shiny pattern on top that make them look stupid. It's very disappointing

Flat faction colour camo is coming soon as directive rewards. Personally though I'd like to be able to change the faction colours on my gear and vehicles independent of camouflage (within their respective colours of course, no NC wearing red or anything like that). PS1 had a few different faction colour schemes depending on your BR and I'd like to have something like that. Pre-beta Higby mentioned something similar to that but I guess it never made it in.

The worst is when you find a camo you like... and the pattern is bigger or smaller than what you imagined.

Actually with the directives system we can have exactly that...

How so? Directives don't allow them to do anything new on the art side of things. Unless you mean it would allow them to introduce armour sets with different colour schemes (similar to the new auraxium infused sets), in which case they could have done that all along if they wanted to.

Basically... yes, but the fact that they are now giving free shit away for just gameplay, means they might be inclined to do so.
I always wanted cosmetics that show in-game achievements and status rather than 'This is what I spent my SC on'
So far the ONLY thing is the little decal of what rank you've achieved, and I'd rather display my veteran emblem
its a shame the auraxium stuff looks gash

VS looks almost exactly the same...
I want the black camo. Finally, the VS's night advantage is gone, and apparently it's fairly easy to unlock. Just need kills with Gold and Platinum weapons. I think even I have a couple plats

Well you're going to have to jump through a lot of fuckin' hoops to get it. The black camo is a reward for completing a special directives tree that only includes promotional or seasonal weapons. Things like platinum NS weapons, 4th of july flare guns, christmas snowball guns and stuff like that. Most of them are only obtainable in small windows of time in the year, others aren't obtainable at all anymore and on top of that you have to get auraxium medals with them. Good luck.

No other way in getting it? I've been wanting a black camoflage pattern or a good dark-colored digital pattern for so long now.
Oh god the NC auraxium directive shotgun is a shotgun with an underbarrel shotgun. I know I shouldn't be surprised but Jesus Christ.
Too bad you can't fire them at the same time.
That should be the fucking NC shotgun, YOU BASTARDS.
It is.
The auraxium MCG SHOULD be each barrel is a smaller set of rotating barrels.
It is.
I didn't even see the NC part...
Bad reading.
I'm not really interested in the new fancy guns. Not many people will ever even see them, given the pretty hefty requirements to unlock them.
I'd think people'd be happier with just a skin as the reward so they can use the guns they like.
Speaking of directives, what are they? I can't find a huge amount of information on them, other than they're the "achievements" of Planetside 2, and they're on the roadmap for July. Are they implemented? Where do I find them in-game if they are?

They have a tab at bottom of screen just like your loadout and profile buttons. They're just objectives to do for your class, or certain weapons. Assault rifles have their own category, and the first Tier might say complete two of these objectives for assault rifles to unlock the second tier. One might be Kill 10 people with SABR-13, and another 10 people with another weapon. Then Tier 2 unlocks and has a bit harder objectives, and you have to do 3 instead of 2 to unlock Tier 3. Then upon completion of Tier 4, you get a reward. A special looking weapon, or armor for your class, or camo pattern, or what the fuck ever for whatever it was you did

They're on the test server right now. They're basically achievements yes. They task you with doing various things in different categories and each directive has four tiers to them (copper, silver, gold and auraxium). The amount of objectives required to complete a tier increases with each level. They also provide you with a "score" like other achievement systems but at the moment it doesn't really do much other than increase your e-peen.
Requirements for directives include earning class ribbons (revive / healing ribbons for the medic tree for example), killing enemies, using class specific weapons etc. Weapon directives are sorted by type and require you to earn medals with that weapon type to advance to the next tier, with the auraxium tier requiring five auraxium medals obtained for that weapon type.
Rewards include special single tone camouflage patterns (I.E flat faction colour or flat black) for completing certain special directives, special weapons pre-equipped with attachments and special animated paint jobs for completing weapon type directives, unique lumifiber for vehicle directives and special 'Auraxium infused plating' armour with the same animated texture as the weapons mentioned earlier for completing class directive trees.

Thank you!
[del]It's not on the test server only, is it? In-game, the tabs at the bottom for me are Profile (with Stats, Leaderboard, and Boost), Map, Classes, Vehicles, Social, Nano-Cycler, and Depot. I don't see anything about directives, and poking through the other sections don't seem to have anything immediately clear about directives.[/del]
Damn it, train, stop answering my question before I ask it. (Thank you, too.)
Player Studio for AU is getting close, and I've run out of helmet ideas so I started on that armour set I posted the concept for a while back.

Also Higby's hard work finally paid off.

I haven't been able to follow PS2 news lately: what's with all the new guns and how are they unlocked?
