Player Studio for AU is getting close
Is it? I very much hope so (provided New Zealand is included too)

Syrah said on the last Player Studio stream that the next 2 countries will be Brazil and Australia, and that they're very close. NZ will be a bit later though unfortunately, hopefully no more than a month or two though.

Still waiting for Player Studio in Scandinavia...
Well I like the Nanite resource change. You can't Spam, and since everything that costs resources shares the same pool, it forces people to either specialize, or take care of their vehicles.
A lot less FOR THE ZERG RAWWRRR and a lot more cautious behavior
Played using my Vanguard for about an hour and a half, got 130 Certs or so. Using the Titan AP instead of HE so only killed infantry with direct hits. But a single hit from that cannon sent every vehicle running for the hills. Made a hell of a shot on a Mosquito too, about 500m
As long as I kept my Vanguard alive for 15-25 minutes, I could just pull them indefinitely. I lost 2 vanguards in the session
Any idea when this update's supposed to drop?
I've got 9.9 gig of updates to download as is.
Speaking of directives, what are they? I can't find a huge amount of information on them, other than they're the "achievements" of Planetside 2, and they're on the roadmap for July. Are they implemented? Where do I find them in-game if they are?
Here's a tutorial on them. Take some time to study the UI because the guide showcases the unlock mechanics more then the UI design
Am I the only one who is now experienced some serious delay in commands? Whenever I try to yell for ammo or something, it takes 10 seconds for the command to actually be voiced.
Also, half of my scopes are broken. The ones with a red dot in the middle are now completely black and practically useless.
I've been experiencing some bugs too like not being able to go to any other place besides Hossin and a empty warp map.

Relog, only way to fix it currently.

Emerald is broken, i've already directly told a network engineer, should be fixed in an hour or two. Try changing your camo in VR and seeing if that'll make it brighter.
Relogged a couple of times and still empty and still stuck on Hossin. It did manage to pop up after playing for like an hour tho I couldn't really go any where on the warp map. Clicking Log Out also crashes the game for me.
Seems like sunderers now launch people who exit them in the air and kill.

Yeah logging out just crashed me too.
Meanwhile, on a TR base in Esamir:

Who's this Higby guy? I was defending a base as a TR and the chat was gushing over the fact that Higby was defending with us.

he's like the lead dev on PS2.
Just wanting to confirm: I'm not the only one that gets under 30 FPS on minimal settings during large fights, right?
CPU is my bottleneck (FX 6100)
The nerf to MBT HEAT cannons is extremely concerning. If you need a direct hit to kill a single infantry, why not just take AP? The faster projectile makes direct hits easier.

Ah, that explains it.

You do atleast some damage to infantry if you miss instead of none like AP. Still a dumb change though. Tank turret changes wouldn't be necessary if they would just remove HE.
After logging on today I'm quite surprised to see that I managed to get awarded the Analyst helmet. I only put in a couple of hours on the test server but the way they were talking about it made it sound like it had some big milestone you needed to achieve in order to get it.
In other news SOE still hasn't been able to give me back the correct membership benefits and it's been almost three weeks now. I'm starting to get a little impatient to be honest.
Fuck Yeah. Just went on a great run in my Vanguard. 17k XP. If only I was a subber that would be close to 30k
Blew up several tanks, 4 mosquitos, many assists on many things, Gunner assists... It was just... carnage
Hey what do the directives points do?
Right. First my scopes stop working, there is a delay in commands/actions, and now... I can't resupply my grenades. The shit?
Hey what do the directives points do?
Nothing right now, AFAIK. I think they plan on giving players with a lot directive points bonus XP modifiers.

They also planned to have certain cosmetics unlockable by obtaining certain point milestones at one stage. I'm not sure if that's still something they want to do though.
Certain things are unlockable by completing directives already!
But, completing a full tree would take literally hundreds of hours, so eh.

No I mean they mentioned before that they were planning on having directive points have cosmetic rewards of their own. Either by making them a spendable currency that had it's own pool of cosmetic items you could buy with it or as a system where if you got say 250, 500, 750 etc directive points (just a random example) you'd get camo or something for each milestone. I saw both methods mentioned. That was quite a while ago though so I guess they dropped that aspect of directive points or simply haven't implemented it yet.
Man the max rank Jesus gun with the shield just rakes in the certs, got 330 in 2 hours of play.
TORQ 9 is now mine.
Being medic in a pile of infantry is probably the best way of getting points.
Arguably not helpful, but certainly lucrative.

It's always nice reviving that ONE guy around the corner who simply can't get away from the doorway in the 0.1s he has to live, time and time and time and time again.
