Ok so this is weird I have noticed since the patch my Magshot kills have been going up like crazy. I usually get maybe 10 to 15 kills in an hour. Because it doesn't count kill assets and I'm always hanging in groups. But yesterday I got 100 kills in 2 hours. I cant tell if its just me getting lucky or good. OR that when a patch comes out and people whine about there fps going down because of the patch. I'm use to low FPS cause that's all I get but someone playing 60 FPS going down to 30-40 might hinder them. So I get the advantage when playing. At least that's my logic about it. What do you guys think?
I joined my squad yesterday and we were taking pretty much every vanu point without any retaliation. We made it straight to their home base before anyone realised what was going on. Just 3 of us.

Decided to play NC for once, saw that we literally only had the warpgate and another base under our control. I then ended up capturing 6 additional bases before the VS caught up to me.
NC dropped 15 br80+ maxes on a hill with 90 degree cliffs around them. Overlooking the vanu warpgate on Indar today. They where shooting down random vanu air that flew out of the WG. They also somehow got a sundy up there. Massive pain in the ass. Attack via air: 15 burster maxes. Attack with tanks: 15 AV maxes shooting downhill on terrain that is really hard to get up, also mines everywhere. Killed a few maxes: They just pull a few more. Was fun tough, only when we (pubbies) got organised and attacked with ground and air at the same time, could we get their sundy down.

The North and SE(The easiest) warpgate are easy to camp with AA and AT. I haven't seen anyone camp the SW Indar gate yet. I always hat eit though cause you don't get as many certs as the AA maxes get, yet those players would get more attacking a real base. also you are nothing but dead weight to your faction at that point, Air can be pulled from so many other bases and you are stuck on a cliff for 2-40 mins. (I dislike when my Platoon decides to do it)
I love grabbing 3-4 skyguards with my buddies and just shitting all over the airchavs. It's even better if we get someone in a Mossie to act as bait; he gets the attention of some BR9billion airchav, flies back to us, and flips around to shoot at the airchav while we mow it down with flak at close range. They usually come back with a Liberator and try (and fail) to tankbust us :v:
Are the login servers down or something? I"m not able to connect at all.
Server merge finishing for european servers I think.
Are the login servers down or something? I"m not able to connect at all.
Status: 8/8/2014 5:52 PDT - The game is currently down for scheduled maintenance. All servers will come down on August 7th at 6:00 AM (3 PM CET) for a brief maintenance period to complete the EU server merges. Downtime is anticipated to be approximately 90 minutes.

I don't usually post here but I had a game breaking bug I basically booted up PS2 and joined my usual server. I then had my buddy invite me to the squad and I squad deployed. Oddly enough, I spawned in a midst of enemy sunderers, lightnings, and infantry. Panicking, I ran around trying to shoot everyone but oddly enough, no one shot back despite me racking up massive kills and I decided something was off. Turns out after meeting up with friends, I was completely invisible, even on the minimap. I was also invincible and nothing was really able to damage me except falling damage, explosive damage, and vehicles running me over. I was able to block bullets. Motion sensors could not detect me, my character would make no audible noise to the enemy while shooting at them, my tracer particle effects was not visible and I would essentially have no audible firing sound to the enemy. Shit was weird [editline]9th August 2014[/editline] and when I teamkilled my buddy my playerinfo showed up but no visible character model [editline]9th August 2014[/editline] I did have a jolly time deploying turrets behind camping infiltrators though the doubletakes they would do is priceless
Connery, Indar Alert, TR After Action Report. The VS controlled 71% of the continent as usual and the NC were hounding us instead of the VS as usual. Things got desperate when the TR forces were holding out in the Tawrich Tech Plant. We brawled fiercely against the NC, certs upon certs were being given out to the blue scum just to hold onto the generators. The tide began to turn as brave TR men and women repelled the NC scum from the tech plant itself. Platoons began to organize and prepare to retake the immediate outskirts of Tawrich. That was when we received our Alert. Indar was at stake, lest we let the VS lock Indar, the NS and the TR would never allow it. The NC ceased offensive operations in TR territory and in turn the TR organized for an advance to the north. The NC and the TR simultaneously pushed through VS territory. Two platoons with auxiliary pub support split into a pincer push to take Zurvan and Rashnu, isolating a group of VS that was locked in fighting in between us. Combined, we then began our push towards the Mao Tech Plant. The situation was bad for the NC as they were faced with the brunt of the VS resistance and they made little headway as we took territory after territory. We were the first to reach the territory goal; winning the alert, we saved Indar from the VS and we continued to push them back. That was when we took fanatical resistance from the Howling Pass and Briggs. At Briggs, we failed to take it, we've incited the wrath of the zerg as magriders were pouring out like rats from a hole, out of their warpgate from purple Hell. Our forces were pushed back along the ridges and we hunkered down and made a perimeter around our sunderers. We continued to fight, managing to stave off the brunt of the zerg until they grew desperate. The perimeter collapsed as soon as their armor columns arrived and annihilated us from the combined plasma spam from the air and ground, effectively pushing out of Briggs territory. But now, we still hold! Still only a region between us and their gay warpgate! The NC and the TR are still containing the zerg from where they came!

I remember being part of a platoon on an Indar alert last night (I'm part of XPIV; see one XPIV up there but no names I recognize) and we were trying for Briggs a couple times, and failed... three times, I think?
In my opinion when territory alerts start, the faction who started with the most territory doesn't do so well.

It happened about an hour ago.
In my opinion when territory alerts start, the faction who started with the most territory doesn't do so well.
Kind of a flaw of the new alerts, rather than starting conflict on a random continent it's now: "That guy has more hexagons than us! GET HIM!"
Heh, logged in and had 7000 certs, thanks Higby.
Kind of a flaw of the new alerts, rather than starting conflict on a random continent it's now: "That guy has more hexagons than us! GET HIM!"
That's what it was like before, except in those cases it was, "This faction has more blah blah, zerg them."
Anyone not able to use Proximity Chat ever since the update?
Anyone not able to use Proximity Chat ever since the update?
Different chats have been broken since the update. It started with Platoon, then Squad, then something else. Apparently it may also affect different factions differently?
Heh, logged in and had 7000 certs, thanks Higby.
Lucky bastard, only had around 450 when i logged in yesterday. (Altho if i have around 450 on all my characters i guess it's more even.)

Had about 4k on my vanu, haven't checked my NC yet but should be less. [editline]11th August 2014[/editline] Oops, had 5k on my NC too.
VanuLabs dug up stats for weapon attachments. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/lv?pli=1&key=0AtUnPHpRxh6EdDZWUHNDUlJJOXJ6b1Vhd1FoVllobFE&type=view&gid=0&f=true&sortcolid=-1&sortasc=true&rowsperpage=2000 Always useful
What's been going on today? TR's been getting their arse handed to them relentlessly the past 8 hours. My only guess is it's because we keep shifting our weight every single time an alert pops (Seriously, why are alerts constantly up now? I can't help but feel that they've lost their value now), but goddamn, even NC is holding their weight now despite the fact I used to see them typically confined to their warpgate and the Hexes surrounded it.
I decided to get back in to this since my usual tac gaming is getting kind of dull. PR kind of lost its novelty and I think I'm done killing players on elite dangerous for a while. I haven't played this since like october of last year so it was before the game even officially released I'm not really sure which server to play on. I'm in the US so it boils down to east or west coast servers. I know some folks that play on the east coast server but they say it's badly stacked in VS' favor. I play TR naturally so I'm kind of confused as to where to start suggestions?
Lately, the NC have been the only ones locking out continents on Connery, every time I log in, they would usually have one or two under their banner.

Even if VS has the biggest zerg, the fun is the important part, and friends = fun. [editline]13th August 2014[/editline] Miller down again, what a surprise. Any other vanu scum on Miller? Could tank some time
