Annihilator. Extremely versatile.
Versatile but pretty bad unless used in groups.
For 1000 certs, the only rocket launchers are ESRL, Annihilator, and Decimator. Decimator doesn't give much functional difference to the default launcher. It's better, but not by a lot. Of the ESRL, I'd only go for the Lancer. A small group of Lancers can literally shut down an entire armor column from forever away. The Annihilator is good in a group of 2-3, against most targets. Honestly, I'd get the regular AA launcher unless you want to do group-work.

I know on Emerald, the NC just don't give a shit about the Pumpkin Hunt.
emerald™
Yeah, the Vanu practically own the Emerald Servers. TR is a distant second with NC being unable to do jack shit.
Its because the Vanu are filled with PPA spamming tryhards. Its just not fun fighting them. And don't even get me started on AOD and other outfits that just zerg or block zergs to be dickheads.
I stopped playing as NC recently and got back on my TR guy on Emerald and my god we can actually stand a chance. As NC we keep being overpopped. I wish I could transfer my characters to servers with less zergling VSs. It tends to get boring to be farmed all the fucking time

CERTS. FAAAAAAARM." Unfortunately for me, I hate the feel of the TR and VS weapons. [editline]14th October 2014[/editline] What sucks is that up until the merger, on Waterson, the pops were usually balanced enough skill and number wise that alerts were tense. Now its just, 'fuck it'. I know, as I've stated before, the reason the NC shut down is because command chat suddenly became waaaaaaaaaay more shit and filled with trolls from the Matherson outfits when Waterson was shoved over.

NC was very unorganized on that server.
I can safely say that TR in Emerald is organized as fuck, compared to NC. I guess it doesn't matter for VS since the sheer amount of people they have can outcome anything, organized or not.
I'm proud of the TR on Emerald, they win plenty of alerts even without strafing tanks, no bullet drop, PPA spam ect. [editline]14th October 2014[/editline] Fighting NC feels like beating on a cert piñata they are so terrible most of the time.
It's just another bad case of 4th factioneering. PPA's being eaisly accesable (at a meere 250 certs) mean the switch to vanu to get rolling was really easy. As opposed to some bizzaro parallel universe where twin fractures on a max instantly win every alert, which would cost 2000 certs, making swtiching to this alternate universe superMAX alot harder.
I can't goddamn wait until the PPA nerf, maybe the game will become playable again
Another view of those swanky berets. I have a sneaking suspicion that they're going to be a part of the upcoming anniversary pack. They seem like the perfect sort of item for something like that imo. They're a bit of a status symbol, they're one of the few SOE hats made since the player studio launched and minus the faction flair they're more or less the same across the factions.

NC was very unorganized on that server.
On Waterson, the NC was organized in a loose format where every platoon was telling the other what they were doing. There was no enforcement or down talking about it but instead just focus on their own goals and they worked together on a 'you scratch mine and I scratch yours' sorta way. [editline]14th October 2014[/editline] They're rebuilding it now, but its taking time because a lot of shit happened combined with the fact that more people are switching over to Vanu. Its gonna be like it was a year ago around March where only the diehard NC players stayed and started to kickass.
I can't goddamn wait until the PPA nerf, maybe the game will become playable again
You know what's funny... The PPA was nerfed TWICE! and THEN people started spamming it. I used it once, back in those pre nerf days. I was able to park by two enemy sundies and automatically generate certs for a good five min without taking ANY damage, only leaving once the ammo ran out.
It needs to be hit again, to be honest. The Canister is great but I wish the grouping was tighter.
...the PPA? I'm not that much of a regular on PS2, so I'm not that familiar with the acronyms.
...the PPA? I'm not that much of a regular on PS2, so I'm not that familiar with the acronyms.
Vanu Exclusive turret for the Magrider and Harasser. It's basically an "I win against everything" device. Fires fast, chews through infantry and does a nasty amount of damage to vehicles.
Oh, that thing. I usually wonder how / what weapon can tear down a Sunderer in a few seconds.
The Proton PPA doesn't damage heavy armor, only light armor, like flashes, harassers and ESFs.

Besides what were the Vanu ever going to get? A turban?

tbh I wish there were less Vanu players, or at least all the dickheads get banned. As a TR player it is very fucking annoying when we're having a nicely balanced fight over a base with the NC when suddenly 100+ Vanu shitheads come over and steamroll everyone. and then they all brag about it in the chat, like good job you won a fight, outnumbering us 10 to 1. gg

They always seem to turn around and insta-kill me after I've already been shooting them and their players always use cheesy bullshit (i.e PPA spam). On top of that Vanu Players always seem to be the most entitled pricks, always complaining about this and that and that they're not enough of the "special snowflake" faction. I know that's a pretty big generalisation and there's probably a lot of chill VS players about but that's always how it seems.
Speaking of VS shitters, my outfit ran into a load of GOTR idiots over the weekend. Three of us were in a dual Fury battlebus with me driving, and GOTR kept spamming Valks, ESFs, Magriders, Harassers, and even a Galaxy, specifically to kill us - they chased us across several bases. They were just feeding us certs - the people hot dropping out of the Valks were mowed down instantly by the Furies, and one of my gunners had a Dual Burster MAX to fuck up ESFs. We could outrun and out-DPS any ground vehicle they threw at us. They eventually managed to kill the Sunderer and one gunner outside of a base when we were simultaneously fighting off 3 Scythes, a Magrider, and the Valk. I just walked 30m and pulled another Sunderer while the Valk pilot bragged in /yell. :v:
To be fair if you can manage an even fight with VS before it gets to 96 vs 96, you can have a good time... that is before it gets dark and you only see death rays coming at ya.
In my experience of playing, all the toxic players I've seen are VS. My usual response to their dickbaggery is "fuck it, back to bullying the NC".
