Planetside 2 V6 - VS capped Indar? It's more likely than you think
If you want to do low flying runs, you want the Air Hammer and stealth.
Stealth lets you never get locked onto when flying low. It also lets you get up to other pilots without being seen to instagib them with the Air Hammer. The Air Hammer also allows you to instantly kill any infantry before they can do anything. There is almost no reason not to use it, unless you are exclusively trying to fight other air, and even then it's a good choice.
rip 250 certs (which is a lot with how much and how well i play)
The Airhammer is nice
once you sink in certs to increase the round count.
On that note, always fire rounds at jets if you can. Without composite armor, jets up close actually are in trouble of dying to just a few rifles.
A couple players firing machine gun (the carv is an absolutely brilliant AA gun) can drive off ESF's at close range in very short order. But so many people just don't fire rounds.

I've gotten plenty of ESF kills with sniper rifles even.
During a large zerg push I had my MCG and was firing at all the low flying aircraft. Scared one into flying into a rock. Though I wasted all my ammo doing it and died as soon as I got to the base.
There's a difference in wasting ammo and spending ammo. Your subsequent death at the base should be viewed as a reward of more ammo.
Gotta spend ammo to get ammo.
The NC on Connery are some of the most retarded players of all time, but VS and TR still seem to ignore each other and zerg us. Combine that with them being most active when NC is not and its a shitshow everytime I try to play I swear
This game just pisses me off, I fucking hate losing and have no fun if I'm not winning at least a little.

like hey yeah lets let TR take our tech lab and get -50% MAX cost what could go wrong there? A LOT OF FUCKING THINGS

The rotary is bloody devastating, you can basically erase other jets by just staring at them for a handful of seconds with it.
Problem is, you'll have to hit almost every bullet to acomplish that.
ESF guns are a funny thing you see, the starter gun is an all around useful gun that has a balance between rate of fire and bullets, the 1000 one exchanges rate of fire for a shitload of bullets, and the 250 exchanges bullets for an absurd rate of fire.
The more bullets, the easier the gun is to use, the higher the rate of fire, the faster you can drop people.
Which is basically why reavers are universally regarded as the most dangerous fucks on A2A combat, their rotary maximizes DPS at cost of having the smallest mag of all factions, if you're a godlike BR100 ace, you'll basically point at people with your gun and they'll vanish, since you're probably not going to miss much.
So yeah, you did not waste 250 certs, you just acquired something that you'll probably be using a lot later on if you follow this career.
Edit:
I also find it horribly unfair how the 1000 cert nose guns cost that much, they're basically one side of the rate of fire - bullets per mag scale, why do they cost so much if the other end of the scale, the rotaries, cost just 250 certs?
I seriously think they should be cheaper, they're great for training aim but a rookie will never buy it because it costs so fucking much.
The ESF game in this game is in a bad way though, and it seems none of the devs are willing to touch it with a 40ft long pole. It hasn't even been mentioned, and the p2w MOBA is an apt analogy. Those who have been doing nothing but air have everything and have become uber good at it, while those with ~250 certs to spend on an aiframe and basic upgrades ragequit in no time at all.
Combine that with the fact that small air squads of high level folks can just rageroll entire continents AND that Air excels in smaller 24-48 fights that are much rarer since Redeployside and you have a recipe for disaster
Honestly the biggest issue with air in PS2 is the ridiculously high skill floor (even for basic piloting without crashing into things, much less dogfighting) and the massive skill gap between newbie players and veterans. Ground and armor? A BR1 can kill a BR100. It's rare and very unlikely to ever happen, but it's possible. I don't foresee a BR1 ever being able to kill a BR100 in the air as it currently stands.
I used to fly all the time and as much as I was far from being perfect I was pretty dam good at it. I stopped playing for awhile and now I have come back I just cannot get back into the swing of things and my geared up aircraft aint helping much. Put so many certs into it and now I can no longer make good use of it. I hope I start getting good again otherwise a shit ton of certs are going to of been wasted.

That's true of most games with air, it's just aggravated in PS2 by the ridiculous physics.
In MWLL, for example, there were a number of skygods who couldn't be taken out by anyone else in the sky, because they knew how to exploit the equally silly physics.
I still think they should simplify flying and just make jets into flying Magriders (control-wise) with forward, up, and down controls along with the mouse to look around.
Apart from the feel of flying, you'd be able to do everything possible now and slightly more with that scheme and with a pile less effort.
Occasionally I would get drunk with a mate and blast highway to the dangerzone while crashing my reaver into things but other than that I don't even touch the sky game.
Every time I foolishly think I'm ready some motherfucker will show up, dancing through the sky like the rules that bind me to world don't apply to him.

Tech Plants just do MBTs for connected Large Outposts. Bio Labs give a really low passive healing ability. You get -50% MAX cost for capturing Hossin during an alert.
Also I've noticed from browsing Reddit and playing a little NC on the side on Emerald, the NC in general are populated by idiots. On Emerald it's fairly bad, none of the pubs actually try to work together and all the outfits refuse to work together in any sort of capacity to win anything.
Also NC with -50% MAX cost is the worst thing ever if you're not NC and trying to assault a Bio Lab.

TR chainmaxes really irritate me but I've never faced NC Scattermaxes

They hide behind doorways and one shot you and the next several guys begin you. And Ravens tear apart vehicles.
Scatmaxes haven't been the Gods they once were for a long time.
I roll grinders with slugs now and it owns.

People have been wanting mouse yaw since the early beta, yet they still haven't implemented it.
Have they stated how long the anniversary bundle will be up for? I get more SC on the 17th and I'll be able to buy it without dumping any bucks in the game then

I still have loads of SC from when I used to be subbed so I was thinking of getting it too. I always wanted that shotgun and I fly the mosquito so the horn would be cool and the cosmetic stuff is alright although make you a shiny target.
I don't remember where I read this but I think we have until around the 20th. They either removed the thread saying or it was in the email they sent me that I have already deleted. It could be longer but I am not sure.
Anything especially cool in the anniversary bundle? Haven't logged on to check.

6 Month Heroic Boost for all your characters. Plus assorted "hologram" armor for all the factions/classes, some aesthetic knives, and Anniversary Editions of the Baron Shotgun and the NS-11M.
Oh and all the weapons count in the "Exceptional" list for the Black camo.
Got it because why not it is not like there is going to be anything else worth spending SC on any time soon.
Armor + camo + Baron (Doesn't look half bad in the game its self)

Baron + attachments (Works surprisingly really well with a decent sight, laser and slugs.)

Horns

(forgot to put sound on for this one but it sounds the same)

I would show you how effective that shotgun really is but as you can see above my frame rate seems to tank when recording.
Will we ever get PhysX particles enabled again?
Holo-armor just screams Mass Effect/VR combat training.
I would've used that armor, but at night it literally lights you up.
I'd be fine with if it was just, non glowing, you're more or less restricted to biolabs.
You can turn off lights by using the headlights button. At least for some things, not sure about all of them.

I will test this later when I next play and see if I can turn off the glow.
DO I have to buy one bundle for each of my characters to get the stuff in it or do i just need to buy one?
