Speaking of alerts, I haven't seen one on Mattherson in a long time.
I think this truce stuff is on the same level as fourth faction stuff

Truces happen all the time, they're just very tenuous and aren't organised like conspiracy nuts like to believe. It's just one faction deciding it's better to focus on one enemy than the other, or both.

The Issue with Indirect fire is that it's rather frustrating to be practically instagibbed by something you cannot see and could never have a chance of knowing it was coming.
I think something like a damage over time area denial weapon would much better suit the role of indirect fire. Like setting fire to the floor, or the pain fields that surround spawn rooms. Ample warning to get to cover but it costs you your position and if you get caught you're at a disadvantage due to being damaged.
This would also synergise very well the HA concussion grenades making for interesting breech and go scenarios.

That isn't a truce in my eyes, that's common sense
if one faction controls most of the map, from a ~strategic~ standpoint, it makes sense to attack the largest faction because they can't defend all of the territory unless they're massively overpopulated.
From a gaming standpoint, if they control more territory then its more likely that people will come across that one faction and will fight them.

I defended this place for four hours. At one point we were cut off from our warp gate and had TR to the south and NC to the north attacking us at once. We never lost the place.
And just for the record, TR are so much nicer to fight than NC. They don't constantly shit talk us, they don't all sign their messages with "~~[Clan tag]"; we had a great time bantering with the elmo menace in a civilized fashion while we held our ground.

Pretty much PS1 Plasma Grenades. Spam the fuck out of them and turn doorways and hallways into radioactive death zones. That in my opinion would be just as bad as the grenade launchers.

People that used plasma grenades were horrible people that should die in a fiery inferno or something.

The cloakers were worse, because when you stand still in PS1 as an infiltrator, you're almost totally invisible (like 5 transparency/alpha on a scale of 255) - and throwing a grenade only makes you slightly more visible for about half a second.
The only way to really see them was to carefully watch where the grenades are coming from (sometimes unreliable due to PS1's laughable netcode), or to enable the Darklight implant - but a cloaker can toss a jammer grenade to disable implants.
Sometimes the cloakers would sit in tree tops doing it, which was even worse as they would often be out of range of the Darklight implant.

Us VS had lashers, everyone else had to make do with bullets.

They've been taken off the test server entirely. They'll most likely return, but not without serious reworking. They were literally guns that spewed out frag grenades, same behaviour and damage as thrown ones. In one volley you could wipe out every target in the VR shooting range.

In the glory days the lasher literally dropped peoples FPS to next to nothing. Nobody clould even locate the source of lasher let alone return fire.

Yeah well one would assume that'd be the right time to tweak them and leave them in the test server since that's exactly what the server is for, but whatever
Tweaking is fine, but there's no real point leaving something on the test server if its mechanics are being [i]completely[/i] revamped. When they need feedback for damage values and stuff like that [i]then[/i] that's the time to put it on the test server and tweak it.
I have been lamenting how often NC loses on matherson. We have a long history of defeats.
NC is like the friend you invite over to play games because you know you are going to beat them.

I feel it's almost the exact opposite with the TR on Waterson, in my experience they trash talk us all the time.

Damn, I accidentally fell out of my aircraft while dogfighting, and while falling from the sky with my aircraft spinning next to me I almost caught it again, I even got the "press E to enter the vehicle" but it still wouldn't enter.
TR should always have the grimdark filter, NC should have everything extremely colorful and AMERICAN, and the VS should have a constant techno beat, wherever they are.
