I honestly thought the "4th faction" crowd was overblown but I'm seeing a large increase in Terran republic on Connery, some of which I've seen on NC except with a 2 or 3 at the end of their name.
Indar North WG.
So I heard you guys like GLOWING NEON MAPS FUCK YEAHHH [thumb]http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/2594/planetside2201305171612.jpg[/thumb] IT'S LIKE I'M IN HONG KONG
Wait, green?
The Enclave seem to have met their match. Seriously, why the fuck aren't media tags working for me anymore.
To be honest, the enclave are not really any better than the random ass zerg(And to be honest their pilots are fucking worse than an average zerg esf(mutalisk?) ) But I've had decent fights with GOKU most of the times when I've met them, even though they usually outnumber us 2 or 3 to 1, if not more. [editline]17th May 2013[/editline] Fixed yer shit, who'd of thunk a dirty vanu wouldn't know their way around technology :v:
Wait, green?
I set my Vanu colour to green. Makes me feel like it's actually an FPS of the Dune games.
holy shit I already have issues when I see one guy firing that thing. My FPS would just have a meltdown with that apocalypse.

I would have had a better time pushing vs back, but after I killed Scourgeoftheserver by hitting him with my wing, most of the vs were just trying to ram me :suicide: EDIT: Oh of course buzzcutpsycho has to make a comment on it. Dude can't take a joke can he?

i may or may not get back into ps2. is there a general outfit fp members are in for tr on a us west server?
i may or may not get back into ps2. is there a general outfit fp members are in for tr on a us west server?
Server location doesn't really matter anymore, the ping is just fine on any of them, I play on US East while being in the EU.

For some reason vanu seems to win every alert on woodman, there's just a ton of organised platoons that cap everything.
For some reason vanu seems to win every alert on woodman, there's just a ton of organised platoons that cap everything.
KOTV they run like 2-3 platoons during alerts.
For some reason vanu seems to win every alert on woodman, there's just a ton of organised platoons that cap everything.
KOTV are responsible, they're this weird mix of a Zergfit and something more organised. They have a few public platoons where they stick everyone and direct them to where they want to apply brute force. They then have a more advanced platoon or two which you need to jump on their teamspeak but they do things like air formations, infiltrator stealth runs and organized tanks groups with dedicated ammo and repair sunderers.

I've seen them get destroyed by so many random barely coordinated zergs that it just stopped being funny and became really sad after a while.

It works though.
Nothing says "Hey you morons GET OFF THE FUCKING CROWN" like yelling "Hey you morons GET OFF THE FUCKING CROWN"
they do like jumping all over the fucking map
Its p funny to listen to the PLs swearing at all the shitlords to get them to the right places. It works though.
There're two NC outfits on Cobalt, pretty nice guys, with some brains between their ears. They can't lead public platoons for shit. Like, at all. They place beacons, waypoints, every move directed by a platoon leader, they announce orders in both Voice (squad leaders double the order for their squads in squad VoIP) and text chats (so shitlords with voice disabled can get the message) everything is expected to be kind of effective. But no one ever listens to anything, and all they do about it is like "pleeeease guys we need to win this alert :'(" and then kick one or two people. Sooo many actually competent people, including myself, ragequit their platoons over this, it's unbearable when you struggle against basically impossible odds with three guys when most of your squad stays at the previous location for whatever reasons. So all their public platoons just fall apart and implode.
I guess you do need PLs like fucking commissars when you're zerg-herding.
Only on Indar.
I wouldn't mind if different continents had different "game modes." Heck, they could even swap it up like warpgate positions.
I honsetly feel bad for sniping flashes with the lancer. The people riding have absolutely no warning whatsoever, suddenly they're just dead.
And people still say it's balanced :v:
I guess you do need PLs like fucking commissars when you're zerg-herding.
The irony is that exactly for herding the zerg you don't. Zerg-herding - simple basic stuff, one platoon waypoint, one direction, whole platoon. But if you wan't to split up effectively and do more advanced things with public platoons - well yeah, you have to be. Basic example - "Alpha and Bravo head here, Charlie and Delta - here". And half of the Charlie and some Deltas just ignore the order, they go after Alpha and Bravo. They can follow waypoints tho, when for example Delta recieves a special order, and everyone else should follow Platoon WP, Delta ignores Squad WP. It's like people lack brain capacity to understand that they're in black squad and should follow their green waypoint and listen to what their black number (1) has to say.
I find zergs scatter if they cap a point and there's not designated squad party bus to jump in immediately to move onwards to victory. I've been in a few public platoons and both squad and platoon leaders fail to realise that pub players aren't going to make an effort to follow your orders if there's no spawn or transport near your objective. Sure it might be a strategic advantage to move over that way but fuck that when I can immediately spawn in the biolab and rake in the certs!
And people still say it's balanced :v:
About as balanced as the new TR and NC MAX AV weapons are against infantry. About as balanced as every lolpodder ever. About as balanced as the standard RL because THAT gives no warning either AND does more damage! IS the normal RL op? Is it? I provides 0 lock warning on and 1HK aircaft "OMG SO 0P!! (yes you actually find this shit on the dev forums) The phoenix does MORE damage than the previous two, has 0 lock on warning AND can be fired from behind cover so you have NO chance of seeing the guy who was going to kill you and shooting him! That MUST be OP! Right? Or no.... I'm guessing you've not actually wielded the lancer have you? Contrary to popular belief the lancer has travel time, which makes it tricky to hit a moving target that's erratic like any aircraft doing anything other than hovering stock still in order to lolpod. The travel time is hard to predcit on aircraft flying in a straight line and the x1.25 zoom scope (yes it's that small) means it's hard to hit ranges targets anyway. In order to get maximum damage you must charge it for three seconds so if your target moves behind cover or out of range (such a thing exists on the lancer! Anything <700M and you're doing less damage to aircraft than if you shot them with your pistol.) And it paints a lovely blue stripe to your firing position, allowing any sniper, or the anchored prowler you just shot. to train to your position and wait for you to pop your head back out and return fire.
