Planetside 2 V6 - VS capped Indar? It's more likely than you think
How on earth did I not think of doing that.
But they can kill you so easily wont they of blown you up by the time you land on them. And if you do land on them you might be so low on health you blow up from the impact ?
I do it semi-regularly and they hardly ever get me. I haven't been destroyed by impact damage at all yet. Pulling it off mostly comes down to A) knowing when you can do it and B) making sure you're approaching them from an angle that they likely aren't expecting.

This is what the scythe is useful for, you roadkill them since you hover instead of landing, 4 bursters and 2 engies is what I've managed to do in one harvest, watch out for turrets since they instagib you.
I've actually ducked under scythes that tried to run me over quite a few times, it felt awesome
Any AA MAX worth their salt will be next to impossible to sneak up on in a jet.
I have managed to kill a particularly unobservant man in an engineer AV turret by landing a Galaxy on him. He deserved every ounce of his shame for using that turret.

Its about time, never touched ps2 for like 3 month, so boring, Ps1 is the shit.
Also you can log an play, i am right now.
Just bought a subscription after much trouble going through the payment process.
Just for those out there that live on streets called something with characters like 'Æ' 'Ø' or 'Å' and such, do not try to enter those characters, as doing it just one time, will cause errors even if you correct it later on.
But I found out that if you cancel the payment completely and enter your information again without those characters (but with substitutes instead), you can complete your payment.
I just thought that it was a rather odd bug and I couldn't find anything about it yesterday at least.
Usually what happens on payment sites, is that it just messes up those characters and let the deal continue anyway.
Seeing as PS1 is going F2P and everyone got free six month subscriptions, does it run better and is it better than PS2? I can't run PS2 in the huge fights it advertises itself for.
honestly i liked PS1 until they added in those mech walker things then the game just went to shit
Planetside 1 should run fine on any gaming system made in the last few years, though there might be some compatibility issues.
The gameplay is more complex and less user-friendly than Planetside 2's and the infantry combat suffers from slow movement and shooting feeling super stiff and poor netcode.

Netcode might get fixed since it's going free to play, the rest of that, and what I gathered through google tells me PS2 is only better graphically. So I guess it's time for me to see how PS1 plays compared to 2 first hand.
Edit: I don't like trusting the PS2 forums, but according to them PS2 is more CoD and PS1 is more Quake, if this is true then I guess i can uninstall PS2 now. :v:
Squishing AA MAXes by landing your ESF on them is the best thing ever.
I still prefer killing them with the Banshee because it's so fast. You can tank multiple MAXes just by unloading a full mag on each one :v:

The game is ten years old and there's a pop cap of 266 people per continent, pretty much anyone with a computer newer than 2005 can run it maxed out fine.

PS1 was basically ignored by SOE for years except for a couple new items being added in like 2010. I don't expect anything to change.
After playing PS1 I already prefer it more than PS2, I witnessed actual bombing runs, small squad tactics that affected the battle, and the (small) main force that came after push the enemy out.
Also, PS1 doesn't seem that badly netcoded, albeit damage not registering for about 10 milliseconds.
can't get over the fact there are animations for stuff like getting in turrets in planetside 1 but not in 2
when did it become okay in modern games to teleport people inside vehicles
I guess at the same time it became okay to sell people the same reused gun models with different stats for real life money
Planetside 1 just crashes on startup for me.
[editline]22nd May 2013[/editline]
Ran it in compatibility mode and it worked.
PS1 has some cool features, but I still prefer PS2.
Is it worth testing out PS1 for research purposes?
If you got the free 6 months, definitely give it a go. I haven't touched PS2 last couple of days, been playing PS1 pretty much non stop.
It sure as hell isn't going to make the other 2 continents any more populated (or people actually prefer the hex system over lattice, I don't know really)

I wonder what the new turret models look like, as they are described to fit more with their faction.
oh and
New Description: “The Enforcer ML85 fires magnetically propelled HEAT darts. The magnetic launcher allows for smaller projectiles so more rounds can be loaded at once, requiring fewer reloads. This gives the ML85 strong and sustainable damage. NC use only.”
railgun?

Not to mention needing to buy a whole new gun to put the same thing on the other arm of the MAX (even if you weren't trying to use 2 at a time while owning only 1 of them).
Tank hotdropping needs to be added to PS2 immediately!
railgun?
There's been a railgun secondary turret model in the game files for a while now, they could very well be using that.
EDIT: This one.

MHM BABY

Saron HRB
Slight redesign of HRB. It can now rapid fire several shots before reloading. It is pin-point accurate on the first shot, but the cone of fire blooms significantly after the first shot. This allows it to ‘unload’ on targets at close range for a faster TTK. TTK at medium to long range should remain the same when waiting for the cone of fire to reset.
New description: “The Saron HRB fires fast and accurate armor damaging beams. Accuracy of the HRB decreases significantly for half a second after each shot. VS use only.”
Removed firing delay
Magazine size increased from 1 to 6
Added Fire Rate of 200ms
Direct hit damage per shot decreased from 1500 to 425
Increased projectile speed from 250 to 300
Max ammo capacity increased from 30 to 180
Amount granted from Ammo Capacity Certs increased from 3 to 6 per rank.
Added cone of fire bloom per shot of 6
Added max cone of fire of 6
Added cone of fire recovery of 6 in 0.5 seconds
Reduced effectiveness of AoE sense it can be spammed against infantry more
Inner blast damage decreased from 750 to 350
Inner blast radius decreased from 1 meter to 0.5 meters
Outer blast radius decreased from 3 meters to 2 meters

BEAUTIFUL
So, did everyone get the "Loyal Soldier" stuff for free or did i get some sort of free subscription for some reason?
Lowered several infantry weapon prices and adjusted some MBT, Sunderer, and Harasser weapon prices
so basically they are gonna be lowering the 80% "1000 certs" for everything in the store, and shafting everyone who dished out for these prices before the update?
well played SOE.

If you're going to complain that things go down in price as time goes on, you should avoid buying anything at all.
Think about it, if you payed 1000 hard earned certs for a shotgun or a rocket launcher, and suddenly they now cost 500, wouldn't you be a bit upset? Unless you are refunded the certs you wasted.
[editline]22nd May 2013[/editline]
Then again this is how real life works so I'm just nitpicking again.

So I bought a new game recently, and then found out that the price dropped shortly after, I should be pissed and games should always cost as much as on release?
Sorry but everything drops in price, it was just a matter of time, of course they could give you refunds but then they have to set a hard line on how far back they will refund people who purchased it, one week? two weeks? two months?
They might be doing refunds for people who bought shit that gets lowered in price in like, the last two weeks or something.

that looks pretty damn sweet compared to the generic ones we have now. I hope they paint it up or atleast change the NS logo to NC though.
[editline]22nd May 2013[/editline]
I'm really happy they fixed the vehicle wobbling too, it made controlling harasser turrets (and any other turrets) like the worlds hardest job.
Stopped a jump pad at the Allatum Bio Lab from launching you into a tree
Hm, the Sauron changes are very interesting. It's a flat-out buff in short range at the expense of oneshotting a couple of weaker things at long range, interesting indeed.
