since i basically beat ps2 with my nc character, im thinking about starting over with a vanu character. I don't think I can go back to being poor though. On the other hand, the GOKU outfit seems like they have way more fun than any other outfit in the game, and lancers and zoe seem pretty awesome.
I haven't played PS2 in probably 4 or 5 months... Has optimization been worked on at all recently?
I haven't played PS2 in probably 4 or 5 months... Has optimization been worked on at all recently?
AHAHAHAno In fact, they more or less broke PhysX.
yeah in hindsight that was a dumb question
yeah in hindsight that was a dumb question
Well you know you'd think they would work on their #1 limiting factor and not spend their entire time making hats.
As LA even when I'm out of C4, I still fly over enemy vehicles to get them to run away.
I do that too. It's the reason I hate maggies. They just turn around, do a zigzag forwards-backwards and annihilate me. I forgot when was the last time I C4 magrider. Probably when SOE just nerfed it into the ground.
Well you know you'd think they would work on their #1 limiting factor and not spend their entire time making hats.
Yeah because the coding team and the art team are totally the same guys.
The performance is still as shit as it was 5 months ago and the biggest complaint is not being able to play it due to performance problems. Latice links are cool and all but most people still can't play the game itself.
since i basically beat ps2 with my nc character, im thinking about starting over with a vanu character. I don't think I can go back to being poor though.
What do you mean you 'beat' the game? You got to BR 100? Totally certed out the class/vehicle you play the most (not counting weapons)? I can understand if you did that. But if you consider just developing a very successful strategy as 'beating' the game I don't think I could agree that you did. I wouldn't even really consider the conditions I mentioned to be 'beating' the game, just completing certain aspects of it. How do you beat a multiplayer game? The only way I can think of doing that would be to be the #1 player and have everything unlocked, I guess. Oh and the main reason I came here was to ask if the development cycle for the revolver really was really the standard for how long it took them to develop weapons. It seemed like work on the revolver took almost 3 months, but the ESRs and NS 11C and NS 11M took a lot less time to make. I know the most common answer to my questions regarding the shitty slowness of the art team has been met by 'the art team has probably been cut in half', but could there be any other reasons why they implement new weapons into the game so slowly?

They most likely took around the same amount of time to get from concept to ingame, the only difference being they chose to show off the Commissioner a lot sooner.
So I downloaded this game last night, got up early in the morning, and played. 'Yeah just giving it a try'. It's been 5 hours, I just stooped playing because it crashed, glorious NC holding that Inc. place that's besides Dusk Crown against the TR and the Vaanu. Although that probably happens every day so nothing really especial, just me getting addicted to this. It's time for Freedom420lgbtmurica. One thing I've noticed, the unlocks, apparently some are useless and some are really good, how can I tell?
One thing I've noticed, the unlocks, apparently some are useless and some are really good, how can I tell?
Gun/attatchment wise you can go into the VR room and try them there. as far as certs go (say for example grenade types) most people here can give you some good advice.
I still don't have the biolab capture ribbon. I don't even have a single capture towards it in fact. These morons on the NC can't figure this shit out and would rather stay in the teleport rooms taking potshots at people who run past, even when we outnumber them 2-1. And if it's not that, it's Buzzcunt showing up with his merry band of shaftlicks to farm them. I think I'm just going to go back to avoiding biolabs completely if I can help it.

God damnit, Woodman went down a while ago and isn't up yet :v:. I was rolling around with a guy in a harasser, getting like 100 certs in 30 minutes.
What do you mean you 'beat' the game? You got to BR 100? I'm only a level 77 or so.
I got to the point where certs didn't really matter anymore, because I felt I had everything important. I'm only a level 77 or so.
"only a level 77" lmao I've been playing since launch and im br 37 You'd literally need 500+ hrs of playtime to get to 77 I'd expect. That said I'm mostly certed into my main class. I already have everything I'd want for infil and scythe, so now I've branched out into the flash, max, and am playing around with LA's for a while
I've been playing on and off since launch with 263 hours and I'm rank 47, I haven't spent a cent on my character. Now that I think about it I look like a complete try hard to anyone I kill. I mean all my classes and vehicles have the MLG decal. I usually play as an Engineer with a noob tube and I just hide behind cover or high ground and lay down the law with unlimited one hit kill grenades. When I go around in vehicles always make sure to use HEAT and Deploy my MLGPRO prowler on high vantage points so I can slaughter masses of infantry from extreme range. As an ESF pilot I go around with rocket pods cleaning up stragglers everywhere.

You lads usually play alone or with friends? Pubbie outfits I don't think that count as friends.
Alright, so I am thinking of buying a different gun for my TR HA. I like my MSW-R a lot, but I was trying out the Bull in VR and liked it quite a bit as well. My only issue is that it is 1000 certs and would like to know if it is worth it before dropping that much on it. Also, are any of the alternatives to the default shield ability any more useful? I understand the default is basically a free second shield when timed right, but most weapons seem to rip right through it.
am i the only one who gets hit by invisible explosions a lot?
am i the only one who gets hit by invisible explosions a lot?
I rarely ever see Lancers hitting my vehicles or A2G rocket explosions when I'm running around as infantry. Phoenixes, Engineer AV turrets, and the default dumbfire rocket launchers are the only (non-bullet based) weapons which render 100% of the time for me. Tank cannon shells render pretty reliably but sometimes in large battles they vanish.
am i the only one who gets hit by invisible explosions a lot?
Nope, everyone gets that. It's to do with the way the game handles rendering.
I love biolab fights. An NC outfit pushing this biolab and they were all engis, medics and maxes. Naturally this made them cluster up a lot because they were always healing and repairing each other. So when I shot at them with my nub toob I would get 3 extreme menace kills with one shot. :v: I used my blood money to get the hailstorm SMG, best purchase ever.

So I pulled out the c4 and scaled the cliff, but before I jumped and tried, I noticed ZOE was pretty much killing any other NC who had the same idea, so I just tossed the skill brick off one at a time first killing any one below, then the other one to kill the medics and derps who ran in the crater. So many kills, our sundy was just on the other side, so I'd float down, resupply and do it again.

And lasers. You be rippin up making dem certs. I don't really use it apart from on Infiltrator.
Started riding Lightning around everywhere on Cobalt, so I play engie a lot now. Is it just me or is Mercenary in fact a gun borrowed straight from MW3? No-recoil no-cof lazergun, just keep it on target for a bit and it dies. It's like cutting people in half. No wonder I died to it so much as TR. I can't just cease to be amazed at how fucking well NC guns perform. Even compared to VS guns, these have some horizontal lol-recoil. Also, I'm starting to gradually persuade leaders of Cobalt NC zergfit ("THE RE4PERS", 2000 members) to make something organised out of it. They seem to like the idea.

To Mattherson players, is anyone familiar with a Vanu player named 'ShepardCommander'? I've run into him time and time again, and every time I kill him he spazzes out. Other times, he'll log into another character and follow me around to TK me or generally be in the way of what I'm doing. Is this normal of him? For reference of what I'm talking about, I mean this. I get messages like this from him every time.
